Description
すなわち、本発明は光触媒粒子をあらゆる基体上に、その光触媒機能を損なうことなく、強固に、かつ、長期間にわたって接着させた光触媒体を提供することにある。
硫酸チタニルを加熱加水分解して得た酸性チタニアゾル(石原産業株式会社製、CS−N)に水酸化ナトリウムを加えpH7に調節した後濾過、洗浄を行なった。次いで、得られた酸化チタン湿ケーキに水を加え、TiO2に換算して100g/lのスラリーを調製した。このスラリーに水酸化ナトリウムを加えpH10に調節した後、オートクレーブで150℃の温度で3時間水熱処理を行なった。次いで、水熱処理後のスラリーに硝酸を加えpH7に中和し、濾過、水洗を行なった後、110℃の温度で3時間乾燥させて酸化チタンを得た。
次に、以下に示す組成の混合物をペイントシェイカーで3時間振とうして充分混合し、分散させて塗料組成物を得た。なお、下記のルミフロンLF200Cは、ビニルエーテルとフルオロオレフィンとのコポリマーを主成分としたフッ素系ポリマーである。
酸化チタン 9.80g
フッ素系ポリマー(旭ガラス社製、ルミフロンLF200C) 0.80g
イソシアネート系硬化剤 0.16g
チタンカップリング剤(味の素社製、プレーンアクト338X) 1.00g
トルエン 23.60ml
前記組成の塗料組成物を20cm2のガラス板に塗布した後、120℃の温度で20分間乾燥させて、本発明の光触媒体(試料A)を得た。この試料Aの酸化チタン含有量は、該酸化チタンと難分解性結着剤との合量に対する容積基準で90%であった。
実施例1で使用したものと同一の酸化チタンを以下に示す組成の混合物としてペイントシェイカーで3時間振とうして充分混合し、分散させて塗料組成物を得た。
酸化チタン 7.64g
フッ素系ポリマー(旭ガラス社製、ルミフロンLF200C) 2.36g
イソシアネート系硬化剤 0.47g
チタンカップリング剤(味の素社製、プレーンアクト338X) 0.76g
トルエン 22.50ml
前記組成の塗料組成物を20cm2のガラス板に塗布した後、120℃の温度で20分間乾燥させて、本発明の光触媒体(試料B)を得た。この試料Bの酸化チタン含有量は、該酸化チタンと難分解性結着剤との合量に対する容積基準で70%であった。
実施例1で使用したものと同一の酸化チタンを以下に示す組成の混合物としてペイントシェイカーで1時間振とうして充分混合し、分散させて塗料組成物を得た。
酸化チタン 9.8g
ポリオルガノシロキサン系無機結着剤
(日本合成ゴム社製、T2202AとT2202Bの3:1混合品) 2.7g
イソプロピルアルコール 21.5ml
前記組成の塗料組成物を20cm2のガラス板に塗布した後、180℃で10分間乾燥させて、本発明の光触媒体(試料C)を得た。この試料Cの酸化チタン含有量は、該酸化チタンと難分解性結着剤との合量に対する容積基準で90%であった。
硫酸チタニルを加熱加水分解して得た酸性チタニアゾル(石原産業株式会社製、CS−N)に水酸化ナトリウムを加えpH7に調節した後濾過、洗浄を行なった。次いで、得られた酸化チタン湿ケーキを110℃の温度で3時間乾燥させて酸化チタンを得た。
次に、以下に示す組成の混合物としてペイントシェイカーで3時間振とうして充分混合し、分散させて塗料組成物を得た。
酸化チタン 7.0g
ポリオルガノシロキサン系無機結着剤
(日本合成ゴム社製、T2202AとT2202Bの3:1混合品) 4.3g
イソプロピルアルコール 22.5ml
前記組成の塗料組成物を20cm2のガラス板に塗布した後、180℃で10分間乾燥させて、本発明の光触媒体(試料D)を得た。この試料Dの酸化チタン含有量は、該酸化チタンと難分解性結着剤との合量に対する容積基準で80%であった。
実施例1で使用したものと同一の酸化チタンを以下に示す組成の混合物としてペイントシェイカーで1時間振とうして充分混合し、分散させて塗料組成物を得た。
酸化チタン 9.8g
酢酸ビニル−アクリルコポリマー
(大日本インキ化学工業社製、ボンコート6290) 0.7g
水 24.8ml
前記組成の塗料組成物を20cm2のガラス板に塗布した後、120℃で10分間乾燥させて、光触媒体(試料E)を得た。この試料Eの酸化チタン含有量は、該酸化チタンと結着剤との合量に対する容積基準で90%であった。
硫酸チタニルを加熱加水分解して得た酸性チタニアゾル(石原産業株式会社製、CS−C)に水酸化ナトリウムを加えてpH7に調節した後、濾過、洗浄、乾燥し、次いで粉砕して酸化チタンを得た。この酸化チタン0.2g、白色セメント(小野田セメント株式会社製)0.8g、水0.7gとを混合し、面積50cm2のガラス板に全量塗布し、室温で乾燥して光触媒体(試料F)を得た。この試料Fの酸化チタン含有量は、該酸化チタンと難分解性結着剤との合量に対する容積基準で17%であった。
実施例5において、白色セメントに代えてデンカハイアルミナセメント(電気化学工業株式会社製、Hi)を0.8g用いること以外は、実施例5と同様にして本発明の光触媒体(試料G)を得た。この試料Gの酸化チタン含有量は、該酸化チタンと難分解性結着剤との合量に対する容積基準で17%であった。
実施例5で使用した白色セメント1.0gと水0.7gとを混合し、面積50cm2のガラス板に全量塗布し、室温で乾燥して試料Hを得た。
実施例6で使用したデンカハイアルミナセメント(Hi)1.0gと水0.7gとを混合し、面積50cm2のガラス板に全量塗布し、室温で乾燥して試料Iを得た。
実施例1の方法に準じて得た塗料組成物を面積100cm2の透明アクリル板に全量塗布し、120℃の温度で20分間乾燥して本発明の光触媒体(試料J)を得た。この試料Jの酸化チタン含有量は、該酸化チタンと難分解性結着剤との合量に対する容積基準で90%であった。
実施例7で使用した透明アクリル板を試料Kとした。
2週間飼育した時点で、比較例4の試料Kの表面には藻類の付着が認められたのに対し、実施例7の試料Jの表面には藻類の付着は認められなかった。これは実施例7の試料Jの表面では藻類が付着しても直ちに光触媒機能により藻類を分解するためである。なお、前記方法で試料J中のフッ素系ポリマーの重量減少を測定したところ、重量減少は認められず、フッ素系ポリマーは分解されなかった。
実施例7において、以下に示す組成の混合物をペイントシェイカーで1時間振とうして充分混合し、分散させて得た塗料組成物をスピンコーター(1000r.p.m.×10秒)で透明アクリル板に全量塗布して、該透明アクリル板上に、難分解性結着剤からなる、光触媒粒子を含有しない第一層を設けた基体を用いたこと以外は、実施例7と同様に処理して、本発明の光触媒体(試料L)を得た。この試料Lの第二層中の光触媒粒子である酸化チタン含有量は、該酸化チタンと難分解性結着剤との合量に対する容積基準で90%であった。
光触媒機能を有さない酸化チタン(CR−90、石原産業社製) 3.3g
フッ素系ポリマー(旭ガラス社製、ルミフロンLF200C) 5.5g
イソシアネート系硬化剤 1.1g
トルエン 20.7ml
実施例1において、酸化チタンに代えて、亜鉛化合物を担持した酸化チタンを用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様に処理して、本発明の光触媒体(試料M)を得た。この試料M中の亜鉛化合物を担持した酸化チタン光触媒粒子の含有量は、該光触媒粒子と難分解性結着剤との合量に対する容積基準で90%であった。
なお、亜鉛化合物を担持した酸化チタンは次のようにして調製した。
硫酸チタニルを加熱加水分解して得た酸化チタンのスラリーに水と水酸化ナトリウムを加えて、pHが10であって、TiO2に換算して100g/lのスラリーとした。このスラリーをオートクレーブで150℃の温度で5時間水熱処理を行った後、硝酸で中和し、濾過、水洗を行った。得られた酸化チタン湿ケーキに水を加え、TiO2に換算して100g/lのスラリーに調製した後、塩酸を添加して、スラリーのpHを4とした。このスラリー1リットルに対し、攪拌下、1mol/lの塩化亜鉛水溶液7.2mlを滴下し、次いで2Nの水酸化ナトリウムで中和した後、濾過、水洗を行い、その後120℃の温度で16時間乾燥し、粉砕して、亜鉛化合物を担持した酸化チタンを得た。この酸化チタンには、ZnO:TiO2=1:99の量の亜鉛化合物をその酸化チタンの表面に含有していた。
実施例1において、酸化チタンに代えて、鉄化合物を担持した酸化チタンを用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様に処理して、本発明の光触媒体(試料N)を得た。この試料N中の鉄化合物を担持した酸化チタン光触媒粒子の含有量は、該光触媒粒子と難分解性結着剤との合量に対する容積基準で90%であった。
なお、鉄化合物を担持した酸化チタンは次のようにして調製した。
硫酸チタニルを加熱加水分解して得た酸化チタン10gをTiO2に換算して100g/lのスラリーを調整した。このスラリーに塩化鉄(FeCl3・6H2O)の5g/l水溶液を2.9ml添加し、1時間攪拌した後、希アンモニア水を加えpH7に調節した。次いで、前記スラリーを1時間攪拌した後、濾過、水洗し、110℃の温度で3時間乾燥して、鉄化合物を担持した酸化チタンを得た。この酸化チタンには、Fe/TiO2=300ppmの量の鉄化合物をその酸化チタンの表面に含有していた。
実施例10において、塩化鉄水溶液の濃度を50g/lにしたこと以外は、実施例10と同様に処理して、本発明の光触媒体(試料O)を得た。この試料O中の鉄化合物を担持した酸化チタン光触媒粒子の含有量は、該光触媒粒子と難分解性結着剤との合量に対する容積基準で90%であった。この酸化チタンには、Fe/TiO2=3000ppmの量の鉄化合物をその酸化チタンの表面に含有していた。
実施例1において、酸化チタン8.9g、吸着剤として活性炭0.5gを含有した塗料組成物としたこと以外は実施例1と同様に処理して、本発明の光触媒体(試料P)を得た。この試料Pの酸化チタンと活性炭の合計の含有量は、酸化チタン、活性炭および難分解性結着剤との合量に対する容積基準で90%であった。
実施例12において、活性炭に代えてゼオライト0.8gを用いたこと以外は実施例12と同様に処理して、本発明の光触媒体(試料Q)を得た。この試料Qの酸化チタンとゼオライトの合計の含有量は、酸化チタン、ゼオライトおよび難分解性結着剤との合量に対する容積基準で90%であった。
また、本発明の光触媒体の製造方法は、プラスチックなどあらゆる材質のものを基体として用いることができ、しかも、簡便、かつ、容易に安定した品質の光触媒体を製造できるなど有用な方法である。
さらに、本発明の塗料組成物は、あらゆる形状の基体や基体の必要箇所に塗布しあるいは吹き付けることができ、その光触媒機能を手軽に利用することができるなど、特に一般家庭用としても有用なものである。
Claims (5)
- 少なくとも光触媒粒子と難分解性結着剤とを、該難分解性結着剤を可溶な溶媒に分散させた塗料組成物を用いて光触媒粒子を基体上に接着させてなる光触媒体であって、難分解性結着剤がポリオルガノシロキサンを含み、光触媒粒子の量が、光触媒粒子と難分解性結着剤との合量に対する容積基準で20〜98%である塗料組成物を基体に塗布しあるいは吹き付け、室温〜200℃の温度で乾燥し200℃よりも高い温度の加熱処理を行わずに光触媒粒子を接着することを特徴とする光触媒体。
- 塗料組成物にさらに吸着剤を含有させて、光触媒粒子と吸着剤とを基体上に接着することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光触媒体。
- 光触媒粒子が酸化チタン、含水酸化チタン、水和酸化チタン、メタチタン酸、オルトチタン酸、水酸化チタンからなる群より選ばれる少なくとも一種であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光触媒体。
- 少なくとも光触媒粒子と難分解性結着剤とを、該難分解性接着剤を可溶な溶媒に分散させた塗料組成物を用いて光触媒粒子を基体上に接着させてなる、光触媒体の製造方法であって、難分解性結着剤がポリオルガノシロキサンを含み、光触媒粒子の量が、光触媒粒子と難分解性結着剤との合量に対する容積基準で20〜98%である塗料組成物を基体に塗布しあるいは吹き付け、室温〜200℃の温度で乾燥し200℃よりも高い温度の加熱処理を行わずに光触媒粒子を接着することを特徴とする光触媒体の製造方法。
- 少なくとも光触媒粒子と難分解性結着剤とを、該難分解性結着剤を可溶な溶媒に分散させてなる塗料組成物であって、難分解性結着がポリオルガノシロキサンを含み、光触媒粒子の量が、光触媒粒子と難分解性結着剤との合量に対する容積基準で20〜98%である塗料組成物を基体に塗布しあるいは吹き付け、室温〜200℃の温度で乾燥し200℃よりも高い温度の加熱処理を行わずに光触媒粒子を接着するために用いられることを特徴とする塗料組成物。
