Abstract
本发明提供一种不会因为显示部的变形而产生显示不良的、可实现显示部的高亮度及高对比度的显示的薄型显示装置。本发明的显示装置中设有图像显示部(2)和在图像显示部(2)上配置的透光性的保护部(3)。树脂固化物层(5)介于显示部(2)与保护部(3)之间。树脂固化物层(5)在可见光区域的透射率为90%以上,在25℃中储存弹性率为1×107Pa以下。树脂固化物层(5)由固化收缩率在5%以下的树脂组成物形成。

技术领域
本发明涉及例如用于便携电话等的液晶显示装置(LCD)等图像显示装置,尤其涉及在图像显示部上设有透明的保护部,并在图像显示部和保护部之间隔着树脂固化物的图像显示装置。
背景技术
一直以来,作为这种显示装置,众所周知有例如图4所示的液晶显示装置101。该液晶显示装置101在液晶显示面板102上设有例如由玻璃或塑胶构成的透明的保护部103。
这时,为了保护液晶显示面板102表面以及偏光片(未图示),使隔垫104介于它与保护部103之间,从而在液晶显示面板102与保护部103之间设置空隙105。
但是,由于液晶显示面板102和保护部103之间存在空隙105,产生光的漫射,从而降低了对比度或亮度,另外,存在的空隙105会妨碍显示装置的薄型化。
鉴于这些问题,提出了向液晶显示面板与保护部之间的空隙填充树脂的方案(例如参照专利文献1),但是因树脂固化物固化收缩时的应力而液晶显示面板发生变形,导致液晶材料取向紊乱等显示不良。

发明内容
本发明考虑这种传统技术的课题构思而成,其目的在于提供一种不会因为图像显示部的变形而产生显示不良的、可实现显示部的高亮度及高对比度的显示的薄型显示装置。
为了达成上述目的,本发明人专心研究的结果,鉴于可使树脂在固化时积累的内部应力,近似于固化后的储存弹性率和固化收缩率之积,发现具有固化收缩率少且固化后的储存弹性率在合适范围内的、在显示部与保护部之间的空隙中填充的树脂组成物,从而完成了本发明。
根据相关的知识而构思的本发明提供一种图像显示装置,其具有图像显示部和在图像显示部上配置的透光性的保护部,树脂固化物层介于图像显示部与保护部之间,树脂固化物层的可见光区域的透射率为90%以上,在25℃中储存弹性率为1×107Pa以下。
另外本发明提供一种树脂固化物层,该树脂固化物层,即,介于图像显示装置的图像显示部与透光性的保护部之间的树脂固化物层,其可见光区域的透射率在90%以上,在25℃中储存弹性率在1×107Pa以下。
还有,本发明提供一种树脂组成物,是用于形成上述的树脂固化物层的树脂组成物,其固化收缩率在5%以下,将它固化后的树脂固化物的可见光区域的透射率在厚度为100μm的场合为90%以上,在25℃中储存弹性率在1×107Pa以下。
在本发明中图像显示部可为液晶显示面板。
在本发明中保护部可由丙烯树脂构成。
在本发明中保护部可由光学玻璃构成。
(发明效果)
依据本发明的树脂组成物,将它用于图像显示部与保护部之间并固化了时,能够将树脂固化收缩带来的应力抑制得最小,因此能够将该应力对图像显示部和保护部的影响抑制最小。因而,依据本发明的图像显示装置,在图像显示部及保护部上几乎不出现歪曲。
另外,本发明的树脂组成物的树脂固化物,其折射率与以往设于液晶显示面板与保护部之间的空隙相比,接近图像显示部的构成面板或保护部的构成面板的折射率,抑制了保护部与树脂固化物的界面或树脂固化物与图像显示部的界面上的光反射。
其结果,依据本发明的图像显示装置,可进行无显示不良的高亮度以及高对比度的显示。
特别是,当图像显示部是液晶显示面板的场合,可靠地防止液晶材料取向紊乱等显示不良,能够进行高质量的显示。
还有,依据本发明的图像显示装置,由于树脂固化物介于图像显示部与保护部之间,耐冲击。
而且,依据本发明,与在图像显示部和保护部之间设置空隙的传统例相比,能够提供薄型的图像显示装置。

具体实施方式
以下,参照附图,就本发明的优选实施方式进行详细说明。另外,在各图中,同一符号表示同一或同等的构成要素。
图1和图2是表示本发明的图像显示装置的一实施方式的要部的剖视图。
如图1所示,本实施方式的显示装置1中设有:与未图示的驱动电路连接并进行规定图像显示的显示部2;以及与该显示部2隔着规定距离而接近并相对地配置的透光性的保护部3。
在该实施方式的显示装置1中显示部2是液晶显示装置的液晶显示面板。
这里,对于液晶显示装置没有特别限定,可适用于各种物品上。列举这种液晶显示装置,则有便携电话、便携游戏机等电子设备。
另外,当显示部2是液晶显示面板时,如图2所示,在其表侧面设有偏光片6、7。
保护部3由与显示部2同等大小的板状构件构成,例如,可适当采用光学玻璃或塑胶(丙烯树脂等)。
该保护部3隔着设于显示部2的边缘部的隔垫4,设于显示部2上。该隔垫4的厚度为0.05~1.5mm左右,从而显示部2与保护部3的表面之间的距离保持在1mm左右。
在显示装置1中,显示部2与保护部3之间设有树脂固化物层5。
本发明中,该树脂固化物层5采用可见光区域的透射率在90%以上,且在25℃中储存弹性率在1.0×107Pa以下,其中优选1×103~1×106Pa,形成该树脂固化物层5的树脂组成物采用固化收缩率在5%以下,其中优选4.5%以下,更优选0~2%的树脂组成物。
在本发明的图像显示装置中,无需像图1及图2所示实施方式的显示装置1那样设置隔垫4,优选如图3所示的显示装置1B那样,在显示部2上依次层叠树脂组成物层5和保护部3,通过固化树脂组成物来省略隔垫。这时,显示部2与保护部3之间的距离(即,树脂固化物层5的厚度)是根据树脂组成物的粘度、密度、保护部3的重量等参数来确定的。通常能够设为50~200μm,从而能够实现图像显示装置的薄型化。
在本发明中,对于树脂固化物层5的原料并没有限制,从改善生产性的方面考虑,优选采用光固化型树脂组成物。
这种树脂组成物可适当采用例如含有聚氨酯丙烯酸酯(polyurethaneacrylate)、聚异戊二烯(polyisoprene)类丙烯酸酯或其酯化物、萜烯(terpen)类加氢树脂、丁二烯(butadiene)聚合体等的1种以上的聚合物;丙烯酸异冰片酯(isobornyl acrylate)、甲基丙烯酸双环戊烯基氧基乙酯(dicyclopentenyl oxyethylmethacrylate)、甲基丙烯酸-2-羟基丁酯(2-hydroxy butyl methacrylate)等的1种以上的丙烯酸酯类单体;以及1-羟基-环已基-苯基-酮等的光聚合开始剂的树脂组成物。
还有,考虑到要对显示部2进行紫外线保护,保护部3往往被赋予截止紫外线区域的功能,因此光聚合开始剂最好并用可见光区域也能固化的光聚合开始剂(例如,商品名SPeedCureTPO,日本大昌华嘉(日本シイベルヘグナ一(株)社)制等)。
调制该树脂组成物,使得在UV照射下固化后所获得的树脂固化物的储存弹性率(25℃)在1×107Pa以下,其中优选1×103~1×106Pa,树脂固化物的折射率优选在1.45以上1.55以下,更优选1.51以上1.52以下,而且,在树脂固化物的厚度为100μm的场合,使可见光区域的透射率在90%以上。构成树脂组成物的主要树脂成分,即使共同的场合,若一起配合的树脂成分或者单体成分等不同,则有时固化该成分的树脂固化物的储存弹性率(25℃)会超过1×107Pa。这种成为树脂固化物的树脂组成物并不在本发明的树脂组成物的范围内。
另外,调制该树脂组成物,以使固化收缩率优选在5%以下,更优选在4.5%以下,进一步优选在0~2%。因此,能够减小在树脂组成物固化时积累在树脂固化物上的内部应力,并能防止在树脂固化物层5与显示部2或保护部3之间的界面上出现的歪曲。
因而,使树脂组成物介于显示部2与保护部3之间,并固化了该树脂组成物时,能够减小在树脂固化物层5与显示部2或保护部3之间的界面上产生的光的漫射,能够提高显示图像的亮度,同时改善分辨率。
另外,在该树脂组成物固化时积累在树脂固化物中的内部应力的大小,可通过将树脂组成物滴在平板上,并将它固化后得到的树脂固化物的平均表面粗糙度来进行评价。例如,如果将树脂组成物2mg滴在玻璃板上,并将它UV照射,以90%以上的固化率固化后得到的树脂固化物的平均表面粗糙度在6nm以下,则在实际应用中可忽略将介于显示部2与保护部3之间的树脂组成物固化时在它们的界面上产生的歪曲。依据本发明的树脂组成物,能够使该平均表面粗糙度在6nm以下,而在理想情况下可为1~3nm。
当制作本发明的显示装置1时,例如,在显示部2上的边缘部设置隔垫4和未图示的凸台部,在它们的内侧区域滴下规定量的上述光固化型树脂组成物。
然后,在显示部2的隔垫4上配置保护部3,在显示部2和保护部3之间的空隙中填充树脂组成物来除去间隙。
然后,隔着保护部3,对树脂组成物照射紫外线,从而使树脂组成物固化。从而得到目标显示装置1。
另外,在制作省略了图3所示的隔垫4的显示装置1B时,只要在显示部2上涂敷上述的光固化型的树脂组成物,并在其上叠加保护部3,从保护部3侧照射紫外线即可。
依据这样获得的本发明的图像显示装置1、1B,能够将树脂固化收缩时的应力对显示部2以及保护部3的影响抑制得最小,因此在显示部2以及保护部3中几乎不会发生歪曲,其结果,在制造时显示部2中不发生变形,因此能够进行无显示不良的高亮度及高对比度的显示。
而且,依据本实施方式,由于在显示部2与保护部3之间填充了树脂固化物5,能够提供耐冲击且更加薄型的显示装置1。
特别是,当显示部2为液晶显示面板时,能够提供确实防止液晶材料取向紊乱等显示不良而进行高质量的显示的液晶显示装置。
另外,本发明可适当地应用在上述的液晶显示装置上,但并不限于此,例如可应用在有机EL装置、等离子体显示装置等各种面板显示器上。
实施例
以下,借助实施例及比较例来具体说明本发明,但本发明并不限于以下的实施例。
<实施例1>
将聚氨酯丙烯酸酯50重量单位、丙烯酸异冰片酯30重量单位、光聚合开始剂3重量单位、以及可见光区域用光聚合开始剂1重量单位,用混练机来混练后调制出实施例1的树脂组成物。
<实施例2>
将聚异戊二烯聚合物的无水马来(malein)酸付加物和2-羟基甲基丙烯酸乙酯的酯化物70重量单位、甲基丙烯酸双环戊烯基氧基乙酯30重量单位、甲基丙烯酸-2-羟基丁酯10重量单位、萜烯类加氢树脂30重量单位、丁二烯聚合体140重量单位、光聚合开始剂4重量单位、以及可见光区域用光聚合开始剂0.5重量单位,用混练机来混练,调制出实施例2的树脂组成物。
<实施例3>
将聚异戊二烯聚合物的无水马来酸付加物和2-羟基甲基丙烯酸乙酯的酯化物100重量单位、甲基丙烯酸双环戊烯基氧基乙酯30重量单位、甲基丙烯酸-2-羟基丁酯10重量单位、萜烯类加氢树脂30重量单位、丁二烯聚合体210重量单位、光聚合开始剂7重量单位、以及可见光区域用光聚合开始剂1.5重量单位,用混练机来混练,调制出实施例3的树脂组成物。
<比较例1>
将聚丁二烯丙烯酸酯50重量单位、羟基甲基丙烯酸乙酯20重量单位,光聚合开始剂3重量单位、以及可见光区域用光聚合开始剂1重量单位,用混练机来混练,调制出比较例1的树脂组成物。
<比较例2>
将聚氨酯丙烯酸酯50重量单位、三环癸烷二甲醇丙烯酸酯(tricyclodecane dimethanol acrylate)30重量单位、光聚合开始剂3重量单位、以及可见光区域用光聚合开始剂1重量单位,用混练机来混练,调制出比较例2的树脂组成物。
<比较例3>
将聚丁二烯丙烯酸酯50重量单位、丙烯酸异冰片酯20重量单位、光聚合开始剂3重量单位、以及可见光区域用光聚合开始剂1重量单位,用混练机来混练,调制出比较例3的树脂组成物。
评价1
将在实施例1~3、比较例1~3中调制出的树脂组成物,滴在厚度100μm的白色玻璃板上,以成为规定膜厚,并利用UV输送机来搬运,得到规定厚度的树脂固化物,并将它作为试料。
将各试料的光透射率、弹性率、固化收缩率以及表面粗糙度,按照如下方式求出。
〔光透射率〕
利用紫外可见分光光度计(日本分光(株)制V-560)来测定各试料(树脂固化物的厚度100μm)在可见光区域的透射率,全部在90%以上。
〔弹性率〕
利用粘弹性测定装置(精工电子(セイコ一インスツルメンツ)(株)制DMS6100),在测定频率为1Hz的情况下,测定各试料(树脂固化物的厚度2mm)的弹性率(25℃)。
〔固化收缩率〕
而且,关于固化收缩率,利用电子比重计(MIRAGE社制SD-120L)测定固化前的树脂液和固化后的固体的比重,根据下式从两者的比重差来算出。
固化收缩率(%)=(固化物比重-树脂液比重)/固化物比重×100
〔表面粗糙度的测定〕
利用Zygo社制三维非接触表面粗糙度测定计来测定各试料(树脂固化物的厚度1mm)因在UV固化时产生的内部应力而发生的玻璃板表面的规定区域(2.93mm×2.20mm)的歪曲(Ra:平均表面粗糙度)。
在表1中示出它们的结果。

表1.实施例以及比较例的特性与评价结果
由表1可知,实施例1~3中平均表面粗糙度Ra=1.5~5.5nm,几乎无歪曲,得到良好的结果。
然而,在比较例1(Ra=12.4nm)、比较例2(Ra=36.5nm)、比较例3(Ra=64.2nm)中,Ra较大,认为由于树脂固化时的内部应力而树脂与玻璃板的界面歪曲。
评价2〔耐冲击性〕
在大小50mm×50mm、厚度0.5mm的玻璃板(显示部)和大小50mm×50mm、厚度0.5mm的聚碳酸酯板(保护部)之间,使实施例1的树脂组成物的固化厚度为0.1mm,作为实施例的面板试料。这时,不使用隔垫,面板试料的总厚度为1.1mm。另外,在制作该面板试料的方法中,在玻璃板上涂敷实施例1的树脂组成物,其上叠加聚碳酸酯板,通过从聚碳酸酯板侧进行UV照射来固化树脂组成物。
另一方面,制作了图4所示的传统技术结构的面板试料。这时,液晶显示面板(显示部)102以及保护部103采用与上述实施例的面板试料相同的构件,使厚度1.0mm的隔垫介于显示部与保护部之间,空隙为1.0mm,从而制作了总厚度2.0mm的比较例的面板试料。
对于实施例以及比较例的面板试料,利用规定夹具来固定边缘部分,采用直径5mm的挤压部,将挤压部沿垂直于保护部表面的方向以按压速度1mm/秒按压到保护部表面,进行面板破坏试验。
在显示部以及保护部间存在空隙的比较例的面板试料中,面板破坏试验的结果为1N/cm2,而本发明的面板试料中为1.43N/cm2。
根据该结果,认为依据实施例的面板,按压强度提高43%,而且得到比比较例的面板更加薄型的面板。
Claims (10)
1.一种图像显示装置,其具有图像显示部和在该图像显示部上配置的透光性的保护部,其中,
树脂固化物层介于图像显示部与保护部之间,
树脂固化物层的可见光区域的透射率为90%以上,在25℃中储存弹性率为1×107Pa以下。
2.如权利要求1所述的图像显示装置,其中,树脂固化物层的储存弹性率为1×103~1×106Pa。
3.如权利要求1或2所述的图像显示装置,其中,树脂固化物层的厚度为50~200μm。
4.如权利要求1至3中任一项所述的图像显示装置,其中,图像显示部是液晶显示面板。
5.如权利要求1至4中任一项所述的图像显示装置,其中,保护部由丙烯树脂构成。
6.如权利要求1至4中任一项所述的图像显示装置,其中,保护部由光学玻璃构成。
7.一种树脂组成物,用于形成介于图像显示装置的图像显示部与透光性的保护部之间的树脂固化物层,其中,固化收缩率在5%以下,将它固化后的树脂固化物的可见光区域的透射率在厚度为100μm的场合为90%以上,在25℃中储存弹性率在1×107Pa以下。
8.如权利要求7所述的树脂组成物,其中包含:从聚氨酯丙烯酸酯、聚异戊二烯类丙烯酸酯或其酯化物、萜烯类加氢树脂以及丁二烯聚合体选择的1种以上的聚合物;从丙烯酸异冰片酯、甲基丙烯酸双环戊烯基氧基乙酯以及甲基丙烯酸-2-羟基丁酯选择的1种以上的丙烯酸酯类单体;以及光聚合开始剂。
9.如权利要求7或8所述的树脂组成物,其中,将树脂组成物2mg滴在玻璃板上,通过UV照射来固化该树脂组成物后的树脂固化物的平均表面粗糙度在6nm以下。
10.一种树脂固化物层,介于图像显示装置的图像显示部与透光性的保护部之间,其可见光区域的透射率在90%以上,在25℃中储存弹性率在1×107Pa以下。
