Description
実施例1
(アクリル系ポリマーの調製)
温度計、攪拌機、還流冷却管および窒素ガス導入管を備えたセパラブルフラスコに、ブチルアクリレート97部、アクリル酸3部、アゾビスイソブチロニトリル0.2部および酢酸エチルを固形分が30%になるように投入した後、窒素ガスを流し、攪拌しながら約1時間窒素置換を行った。その後60℃にフラスコを加熱し、7時間反応させて重量平均分子量(Mw)110万のアクリル系ポリマーを得た。
(粘着剤組成物の調製)
上記アクリル系ポリマー溶液(固形分100部)に、ブチルアクリレート(BA)オリゴマ(Mw=3000)10部、イソシアネート系架橋剤としてトリメチロールプロパントリレンジイソシアネート(日本ポリウレタン工業(株)製「コロネートL」)0.8部、シランカップリング剤(信越化学(株)製「KBM−403」)0.1部を加えて粘着剤組成物(溶液)を調製した。
(粘着型光学フィルムの作製)
厚さ80μmのポリビニルアルコールフィルムをヨウ素水溶液中で5倍に延伸したのち乾燥させ、両側にトリアセチルセルロースフィルムを、接着剤を介して接着し偏光板を得て、11インチサイズにトムソン刃で打ち抜いた。その後、前記調製した粘着剤溶液を、35μmの厚みを有するポリエチレンテレフタレート系離型フィルム上に、11インチサイズ偏光板の各辺から300μm内側に、乾燥後の厚みが25μmとなるように塗布し、上記偏光板と貼着した後、100℃で4分間乾燥して粘着剤層を形成し、粘着型光学フィルム(粘着型偏光板)を得た。
実施例2
実施例1(粘着型光学フィルムの作製)において、11インチサイズにトムソン刃で打ち抜いた偏光板に、上記により作製された粘着剤溶液を、38μmの厚みを有するポリエチレンテレフタレート系離型フィルム上に、乾燥後の厚みが25μmになるように11インチサイズ全面に塗布し、100℃で4分間乾燥して粘着剤層(損失弾性率:8.0×104Pa(25℃))を形成した粘着剤付き離型フィルムを貼りあわせた粘着型偏光板とした。その後、この粘着型偏光板50枚を積み重ね、その上下から万力状の治具にてフィルムを保持し、粘着剤が端部よりはみ出るように圧力を調整して加圧した状態で、光学フィルムの端辺から1.0mm内側を、回転刃を用いて光学フィルムとともに粘着剤層ごと切削した。その後上記圧力を解放し、粘着剤層の光学フィルム端辺よりも内側にある部分が、光学フィルム端辺から150μmの距離(最長部分)で形成された粘着型偏光板を得た。
実施例3
実施例1(粘着型光学フィルムの作製)において、11インチサイズにトムソン刃で打ち抜いた偏光板に、上記粘着剤溶液を、38μmの厚みを有するポリエチレンテレフタレート系離型フィルム上に、乾燥後の厚みが40μmになるように11インチサイズ全面に塗布し、100℃で4分間乾燥して粘着剤層(損失弾性率:1.1×103Pa(25℃))を形成した粘着剤付き離型フィルムを貼りあわせた粘着型偏光板とした。その後、この粘着型偏光板50枚を積み重ね、その上下から万力状の治具にてフィルムを保持し、粘着剤が端部よりはみ出るように圧力を調整して加圧した状態で、光学フィルム端辺からはみ出た粘着剤を回転刃を用いて切削した。その後上記圧力を解放し、粘着剤層の光学フィルム端辺よりも内側にある部分が、光学フィルム端辺から150μmの距離(最長部分)で形成された粘着型偏光板を得た。
実施例4
実施例3において、偏光板の代わりにノルボルネン系フィルム(ARTON:JSR(株)製)をMD方向に1.5倍一軸延伸して作製した位相差板を用いた以外は実施例3と同様にして作製し、粘着剤層が光学フィルム端辺よりも内側にある部分を光学フィルム端辺から150μmの距離(最長部分)で形成された粘着型位相差板を得た。
実施例5
2−エチルヘキシルアクリレート100部、光重合開始剤(チバ・スペシャルティ・ケミカルズ(株)製「Irgacure184」)1部をセパラブルフラスコ中に投入した後、窒素ガスを流し、攪拌しながらメタルハライド水銀灯を用いてUV光を照射し、重合率10%の粘着剤組成物(溶液)を調製した。これを厚さ125μmのポリエチレンテレフタレート系離型フィルム上に、乾燥後厚さが1mmとなるように塗布し、残存モノマーが5重量%以下になるようにUV光を照射して、硬化させた。そして、熱風乾燥機にて150℃×30分の乾燥を行って残存モノマーを除去した後、実施例3と同様にして偏光板と積層するとともに、粘着剤層の光学フィルム端辺よりも内側にある部分が、光学フィルム端辺から150μmの距離(最長部分)で形成された粘着型偏光板を得た。このときの粘着剤層の損失弾性率は2.1×104Paであった。
実施例6
実施例1(粘着剤組成物の調製)において、ブチルアクリレート(BA)オリゴマ(Mw=3000)を20部とし、粘着剤層の損失弾性率が4.0×104Pa(25℃)であること以外は実施例2と同様にして、粘着剤層の光学フィルム端辺よりも内側にある部分が、光学フィルム端辺から150μmの距離(最長部分)で形成された粘着型偏光板を得た。
実施例7
実施例1(粘着剤組成物の調製)において、ブチルアクリレート(BA)オリゴマ(Mw=3000)を100部とし、粘着剤層の損失弾性率が7.5×103Pa(25℃)であること以外は実施例2と同様にして、粘着剤層の光学フィルム端辺よりも内側にある部分が、光学フィルム端辺から150μmの距離(最長部分)で形成された粘着型偏光板を得た。
実施例8
実施例1(粘着剤組成物の調製)において、ブチルアクリレート(BA)オリゴマ(Mw=3000)を200部とし、粘着剤層の損失弾性率が1.1×103Pa(25℃)であること以外は実施例2と同様にして、粘着剤層の光学フィルム端辺よりも内側にある部分が、光学フィルム端辺から150μmの距離(最長部分)で形成された粘着型偏光板を得た。
実施例9
実施例2と同様にして、粘着剤層の切削量を調整することによって、粘着剤層の光学フィルム端辺よりも内側にある部分が、光学フィルム端辺から55μmの距離(最長部分)で形成された粘着型偏光板を得た。
実施例10
実施例2と同様にして、粘着剤層の切削量を調整することによって、粘着剤層の光学フィルム端辺よりも内側にある部分が、光学フィルム端辺から100μmの距離(最長部分)で形成された粘着型偏光板を得た。
比較例1
実施例1(粘着型光学フィルムの作製)において、11インチサイズにトムソン刃で打ち抜いた偏光板に、上記により作製された粘着剤溶液を、35μmの厚みを有するポリエチレンテレフタレート系離型フィルム上に、乾燥後の厚みが25μmとなるように11インチサイズ全面になるように塗布し、上記偏光板に貼着した後、100℃で4分間乾燥して粘着剤層を形成し、粘着型偏光板を得た。
[評価]
(側面の粘着感)
作製した粘着型偏光板の側面を手で触れることにより、粘着感があるかどうかを確認した。
(糊欠け)
上記実施例または比較例で得られた50枚の粘着型偏光板を積み重ねて梱包し、それをトラックの荷台に保持した状態で約10時間輸送した後開封し、350μm以上の糊欠けが発生している枚数を数えた。

Claims (16)
- 光学フィルムの片面または両面に粘着剤層が設けられている粘着型光学フィルムにおいて、前記粘着剤層の端部の少なくとも一部が、前記粘着剤層を積層する光学フィルムの面の端辺よりも内側にある部分を有し、
さらに、前記粘着剤層には、離型フィルム、光学層、第二の光学フィルムおよび第二の粘着剤層から選択された層の少なくとも1層が積層され、前記粘着剤層の断面における端部の両側が、少なくとも、前記離型フィルム、光学層、第二の光学フィルムおよび第二の粘着剤層から選択された層の少なくとも1層の面の端辺よりも内側にある部分を有することを特徴とする粘着型光学フィルム。
- 前記内側にある部分を有する粘着剤層の端部は、断面内の一部が前記光学フィルムの端辺ぎりぎりまである形状をとる、請求項1記載の粘着型光学フィルム。
- 前記内側にある部分を有する粘着剤層の端部が凹部端面を有する、請求項2記載の粘着型光学フィルム。
- 前記内側にある部分を有する粘着剤層の端部が凸部端面を有する、請求項2記載の粘着型光学フィルム。
- 光学フィルムの片面または両面に粘着剤層が設けられている粘着型光学フィルムにおいて、前記粘着剤層の端部の少なくとも一部が、前記粘着剤層を積層する光学フィルムの面の端辺よりも内側にある部分を有し、前記内側にある部分を有する粘着剤層の端部は、断面内の一部が前記光学フィルムの端辺ぎりぎりまである形状をとることを特徴とする粘着型光学フィルム。
- さらに離型フィルム、光学層、第二の光学フィルムおよび第二の粘着剤層から選択された層を少なくとも1層以上積層した請求項5記載の粘着型光学フィルム。
- 前記内側にある部分を有する粘着剤層の端部が凹部端面を有する、請求項5または6記載の粘着型光学フィルム。
- 前記内側にある部分を有する粘着剤層の端部が凸部端面を有する、請求項5または6記載の粘着型光学フィルム。
- 前記光学フィルムの面の端辺よりも内側にある部分を有する粘着剤層の端部が、前記粘着剤層の全周囲長さの1/2以上に形成されている、請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載の粘着型光学フィルム。
- 前記光学フィルムの面の端辺よりも内側にある部分を有する粘着剤層の端部が、前記粘着剤層の全周囲に形成されている、請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載の粘着型光学フィルム。
- 前記光学フィルム端辺と、前記内側にある部分を有する粘着剤層の端部の最長部分の距離が、10μm〜300μmである、請求項1〜10のいずれかに記載の粘着型光学フィルム。
- 請求項1〜11のいずれかに記載の粘着型光学フィルムを用いた画像表示装置。
- 光学フィルム上に形成された粘着剤層をその両面から加圧することによって、前記光学フィルム側面の端部から粘着剤層をはみ出させる工程、
前記はみ出させた状態の粘着剤層の側面を切削または切断する工程、その後、前記粘着剤層への加圧状態を解放する工程を有する粘着型光学フィルムの製造方法。 - 前記粘着剤層が、動的粘弾性により求められた25℃での貯蔵弾性率が1.0×104〜1.0×107Paの範囲にある粘着剤により形成されたものである、請求項13記載の粘着型光学フィルムの製造方法。
- 前記粘着剤層への加圧状態を解放する工程は、粘着剤層をその厚み方向外側に引っ張る工程からなる、請求項13または14記載の粘着型光学フィルムの製造方法。
- 前記粘着剤層の側面を切削または切断する工程において、前記光学フィルムを同時に切削または切断する、請求項13〜15のいずれかに記載の粘着型光学フィルムの製造方法。
