Claims (28)
- 患者を治療するための粒子ビームを生成するための粒子加速器と、
第1の開口部および第2の開口部を含む開口部を有するキャリアであって、前記キャリアは前記粒子ビームの透過を阻止する材料を含み、前記キャリアは前記粒子加速器と前記患者との間に配置されている、キャリアと、
前記粒子ビームの少なくとも一部が前記患者に到達することを可能にするように前記第1の開口部への前記粒子ビームの移動を制御し、前記粒子ビームが前記第1の開口部において静止したままでいる間に前記粒子ビームのエネルギーを変化させ、前記第1の開口部から前記第2の開口部への前記粒子ビームの移動を制御するように構成されている制御システムとを備えるシステム。 - 前記開口部は穴の配列を含み、前記第1の開口部は第1の穴を含み、前記第2の開口部は第2の穴を含む、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記開口部はスロットの配列を含み、前記第1の開口部は第1のスロットを含み、前記第2の開口部は第2のスロットを含む、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記粒子加速器と前記患者との間のエネルギーデグレーダであって、前記エネルギーデグレーダは、前記粒子ビームのエネルギーを変化させるために、前記粒子ビームの経路内に入れ、そこから出すように構成されている構造体を備える、エネルギーデグレーダをさらに備え、

前記粒子ビームが前記第1の開口部にある間、前記粒子ビームは、10ミリ秒から5秒の持続時間において毎秒1グレイから毎秒20グレイの間の線量の放射線を前記ターゲットに照射する、請求項1に記載のシステム。 - 前記制御システムは、前記粒子ビームが前記第1の開口部から前記第2の開口部に移動する前に、前記粒子ビームが前記第1の開口部を通って前記患者体内のターゲットの円柱状部分を治療するように、前記粒子ビームの前記エネルギーを変化させるように構成されており、
前記粒子ビームが前記第1の開口部にある間、前記粒子ビームは、10ミリ秒から5秒の持続時間において毎秒20グレイから毎秒100グレイの間の線量の放射線を前記ターゲットに照射する、請求項1に記載のシステム。 - 前記制御システムは、前記粒子ビームが前記第1の開口部から前記第2の開口部に移動する前に、前記粒子ビームが前記第1の開口部を通って前記患者体内のターゲットの円柱状部分を治療するように、前記粒子ビームの前記エネルギーを変化させるように構成されており、
前記粒子ビームが前記第1の開口部にある間、前記粒子ビームは、10ミリ秒から5秒の持続時間において毎秒1グレイから毎秒500グレイの間の線量の放射線を前記ターゲットに照射する、請求項1に記載のシステム。 - 前記制御システムは、前記粒子ビームが前記第1の開口部から前記第2の開口部に移動する前に、前記粒子ビームが前記第1の開口部を通って前記患者体内のターゲットの円柱状部分を治療するように、前記粒子ビームの前記エネルギーを変化させるように構成されており、
前記粒子ビームが前記第1の開口部にある間、前記粒子ビームは、超高線量率の線量の放射線を前記ターゲットに照射する、請求項1に記載のシステム。 - 前記開口部は穴を含み、前記第1の開口部は第1の穴を含み、前記第2の開口部は第2の穴を含み、前記第1の穴、次いで前記第2の穴への前記粒子ビームの動きを制御することは、前記第1の穴において前記粒子ビームを中心に置き、次いで第2の穴において前記粒子ビームを中心に置くことを含む、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1の開口部から前記第2の開口部への前記粒子ビームの移動の後、前記粒子ビームは前記第1の開口部に移動することはない、請求項1に記載のシステム。

- 前記粒子ビームのブラッグピークを拡大するためのリッジフィルタをさらに備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 移動のために前記キャリアが取り付けられているトラックと、
前記制御システムからの1つまたは複数のコマンドに応答して、前記トラックに沿って前記キャリアを動かすように構成されているモーターとをさらに備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。 - 前記制御システムは、前記粒子ビームが前記第2の開口部において静止している間、前記粒子ビームのエネルギーを変化させ、前記第2の開口部から複数の追加の開口部への前記粒子ビームの移動を制御し、前記粒子ビームが前記複数の追加の開口部の各々において一定期間において静止したままの状態で前記粒子ビームのエネルギーが変化するように構成されている、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 患者を治療するための粒子ビームを生成するための粒子加速器と、
開口部を有するキャリアであって、前記キャリアは前記粒子ビームの透過を阻止する材料を含み、前記キャリアは前記粒子加速器と前記患者との間に配置される、キャリアと、
前記粒子ビームの少なくとも一部が前記患者に到達することを可能にするように前記開口部の第1の部分への前記粒子ビームの移動を制御し、前記粒子ビームが前記開口部の前記第1の部分において静止したままでいる間に前記粒子ビームのエネルギーを変化させ、前記開口部の前記第1の部分から前記開口部の第2の部分への前記粒子ビームの移動を制御するための制御システムとを備えるシステム。 - 前記開口部は前記キャリアに沿って延在するスロットである、請求項19に記載のシステム。
- 前記制御システムは、前記粒子ビームが前記開口部の前記第2の部分において静止している間、前記粒子ビームのエネルギーを変化させ、前記開口部の前記第2の部分から前記開口部の複数の追加の部分への前記粒子ビームの移動を制御し、前記粒子ビームが前記開口部の前記複数の追加の部分の各々において一定期間において静止したままの状態で前記粒子ビームの前記エネルギーが変化するように構成されている、請求項19に記載のシステム。
- 前記制御システムは、前記粒子ビームが前記開口部の前記第1の部分から前記開口部の前記第2の部分に移動する前に、前記粒子ビームが前記開口部の前記第1の部分を通って前記患者体内のターゲットの円柱状部分を治療するように、前記粒子ビームの前記エネルギーを変化させるように構成されており、
