Description
Claims (4)
- 荷電粒子線を被照射体へ照射する荷電粒子線照射装置であって、
前記荷電粒子線を輸送する輸送ラインと、
所定の回転軸線回りに回転可能な回転ガントリーと、
前記輸送ラインによって輸送された前記荷電粒子線を、前記回転ガントリー内に設けられた照射室において前記被照射体へ照射する照射ノズルと、を備え、
前記輸送ラインは、前記回転軸線方向に進行する前記荷電粒子線を、前記回転軸線と離間するように傾斜させて進行させる傾斜部を有し、前記傾斜部内を進行した前記荷電粒子線を前記回転軸線の回転方向に旋回させ、前記回転方向に旋回した前記荷電粒子線を、前記回転軸線側へ湾曲させるように形成され、
前記回転ガントリーは、前記被照射体を収容可能であり、かつ、前記輸送ラインを支持する筒体で形成され、
前記照射室は、前記筒体及び当該筒体の背面側に設けられた隔壁によって構成され、
前記輸送ラインの前記傾斜部は、前記回転ガントリーの前記筒体内に配置されており、前記隔壁を貫通して前記照射室内を通過するように配置され、
更に、前記筒体内に配置された前記輸送ラインからの放射線を遮蔽する遮蔽部材を備え、
前記遮蔽部材は、前記照射室内を通過する前記輸送ラインの前記傾斜部から放出される放射線を遮蔽することを特徴とする荷電粒子線照射装置。 - 更に、前記筒体内に配置された前記輸送ラインは、前記荷電粒子線を通過させると共に、前記荷電粒子線を調整するための電磁石を備え、
該電磁石は、内方へ突出する複数のヨークを有し、
前記遮蔽部材は、隣接する前記ヨーク間に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の荷電粒子線照射装置。 - 前記電磁石の外表面に設置された前記遮蔽部材を備えることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の荷電粒子線照射装置。
- 異なる材質によって形成された複数の前記遮蔽部材を備えることを特徴とする請求項1〜3の何れか一項に記載の荷電粒子線照射装置。
