Description
以下、図1〜図4を用いて、本発明の第1の実施形態による粒子線治療システムの構成及び動作について説明する。最初に、図1〜図3を用いて、本実施形態による粒子線治療システムの全体構成及び粒子線ビームの照射原理について説明する。図1は、本発明の第1の実施形態による粒子線治療システムの構成を示すシステム構成図である。
次に、本発明の第2の実施形態による粒子線治療システムの構成と運転方法について説明する。ここでは、第1の実施形態のシステム構成や運転方法と相違する部分のみを説明する。
次に、本発明の第3の実施形態による粒子線治療システム100Bの構成と運転方法について説明する。ここでは、第1の実施形態のシステム構成や運転方法と相違する部分のみを説明する。
次に、本発明の第4の実施形態による粒子線治療システム100Cの構成について説明する。図10は、本実施形態による粒子線治療システム100Cの全体構成を示すシステム構成図である。

Claims (5)
- 荷電粒子ビームを所定のエネルギーまで加速し出射する加速装置と、
前記荷電粒子ビームを照射対象に出射する照射装置と、
前記荷電粒子ビームを偏向する偏向電磁石を有し、前記加速装置から出射された前記荷電粒子ビームを前記照射装置に導くビーム輸送系と、
前記ビーム輸送系に設置され、前記照射装置への前記荷電粒子ビームの供給を遮断するビーム遮断装置とを備え、
前記ビーム遮断装置は、前記荷電粒子ビームの進行方向において前記偏向電磁石よりも上流側に設置される遮断電磁石と、前記荷電粒子ビームの進行方向において前記偏向電磁石よりも下流側に設置されるビームダンプとを備えることを特徴とする粒子線治療システム。 - 荷電粒子ビームを所定のエネルギーまで加速し出射する加速装置と、
前記荷電粒子ビームを照射対象に出射する照射装置と、
前記荷電粒子ビームを偏向する偏向電磁石を有し、前記加速装置から出射された前記荷電粒子ビームを前記照射装置に導くビーム輸送系と、
前記ビーム輸送系に設置され、前記照射装置への前記荷電粒子ビームの供給を遮断するビーム遮断装置とを備え、
前記ビーム遮断装置は、前記荷電粒子ビームの進行方向において前記偏向電磁石よりも上流側に設置される遮断電磁石と、前記荷電粒子ビームの進行方向において前記偏向電磁石の内部に設置されるビームダンプを有し、
前記ビーム遮断装置は、前記偏向電磁石と前記遮断電磁石との間に配置される四極電磁石を有し、前記遮断電磁石で偏向した荷電粒子ビームを前記四極電磁石で更に偏向する、又は、前記偏向電磁石の形状は両端面が実質的に平行な矩形型であり、前記遮断電磁石で前記荷電粒子ビームを偏向する方向が前記偏向電磁石の偏向面内であることを特徴とする粒子線治療システム。 - 前記偏向電磁石の形状がセクタ型であり、前記遮断電磁石で前記荷電粒子ビームを偏向する方向が前記偏向電磁石の偏向面と垂直であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の粒子線治療システム。
- 前記照射対象における照射位置での前記荷電粒子ビームの線量が設定値になったときに前記加速装置へ出射停止信号を送信し、前記出射停止信号の送信後に前記加速装置から出射された前記荷電粒子ビームを前記ビームダンプへ衝突させるように前記遮断電磁石を制御する制御装置を備えることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の粒子線治療システム。
- 前記照射装置は、前記照射対象における前記荷電粒子ビームの照射位置を変更する走査電磁石を有し、
前記照射位置を変更する際に、前記照射装置への前記荷電粒子ビームの供給を遮断するように前記遮断電磁石を制御する制御装置を備えることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の粒子線治療システム。
