Description
(1)タッチすることのできる前面及びこの前面とは反対の裏面を有するガラスサブアッセンブリと、
前記ガラスサブアッセンブリの前記裏面に形成された第1の実質的に透明の導電性材料の複数の第1トレースと、
第2の実質的に透明の材料の複数の第2トレースと、
前記第1トレースと第2トレースとの間に結合された誘電体材料と、
を備え、前記第2及び第1トレースは、前記誘電体材料により分離されたクロスオーバー位置において互いにクロスオーバーする配向とされ、前記クロスオーバー位置は、前記ガラスサブアッセンブリの前記前面における1つ以上のタッチを検出するための相互キャパシタンスセンサを形成する、マルチタッチセンサパネル。
(2)前記第1及び第2の実質的に透明の導電性材料は、同じものである、上記(1)に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
(3)電気的相互接続部を隠すために前記ガラスサブアッセンブリの前記裏面に形成されたマスク層を更に備えた、上記(1)に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。

(9)前記ガラスサブアッセンブリに結合されたチップオンガラスを更に備え、このチップオンガラスは、センサパネル回路を含む、上記(8)に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。

(18)マルチタッチセンサパネルを含むデジタルオーディオプレーヤにおいて、マルチタッチセンサパネルは、
タッチすることのできる前面及びこの前面とは反対の裏面を有するガラスサブアッセンブリと、
前記ガラスサブアッセンブリの前記裏面に形成された第1の実質的に透明の導電性材料の複数の第1トレースと、
第2の実質的に透明の材料の複数の第2トレースと、
前記第1トレースと第2トレースとの間に結合された誘電体材料と、
を備え、前記第2及び第1トレースは、前記誘電体材料により分離されたクロスオーバー位置において互いにクロスオーバーする配向とされ、前記クロスオーバー位置は、前記ガラスサブアッセンブリの前記前面における1つ以上のタッチを検出するための相互キャパシタンスセンサを形成するものである、デジタルオーディオプレーヤ。
(19)複数の相互キャパシタンスセンサを備え、該複数の相互キャパシタンスセンサは、第1の実質的に透明の導電性材料の複数の第1トレースと、誘電体材料で分離された第2の実質的に透明の導電性材料の複数の第2トレースとにより形成され、これら複数の第1及び第2トレースは、前記誘電体材料により分離されたクロスオーバー位置において互いにクロスオーバーする配向とされ、前記クロスオーバー位置が前記相互キャパシタンスセンサを形成し、
前記複数の第1トレース及び前記複数の第2トレースの一方又は両方がガラスサブアッセンブリの裏面に形成され、このガラスサブアッセンブリは、前記裏面とは反対の前面を有し、これにタッチできるようにした、マルチタッチセンサパネル。
(20)前記第1及び第2の実質的に透明の導電性材料は、同じものである、上記(19)に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
(21)電気的相互接続部を隠すために前記ガラスサブアッセンブリの裏面に形成されたマスク層を更に備えた、上記(19)に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
(22)前記誘電体材料は、その後の導電層の形成に使用する偏光層を生成するために、前記ガラスサブアッセンブリの前記裏面において前記第1トレースの上に形成される、上記(19)に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
(23)前記第2トレースは、前記ガラスサブアッセンブリの裏面において前記誘電体材料の上に形成される、上記(22)に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
(24)前記ガラスサブアッセンブリに結合されたポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)サブアッセンブリを更に備え、このPETサブアッセンブリには、前記第1トレースをシールドするために導電性材料の連続シートが形成されている、上記(23)に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
(25)前記PETサブアッセンブリに結合された液晶ディスプレイ(LCD)モジュールを更に備えた、上記(24)に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
(26)前記ガラスサブアッセンブリに結合されたポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)サブアッセンブリを更に備え、このPETサブアッセンブリは、前記誘電体材料を表し、そして前記第2トレースがこのPETサブアッセンブリの底面に形成される、上記(19)に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
(27)前記ガラスサブアッセンブリに結合されたチップオンガラスを更に備え、このチップオンガラスは、センサパネル回路を含む、上記(26)に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
(28)前記PETサブアッセンブリに結合された液晶ディスプレイ(LCD)モジュールを更に備えた、上記(27)に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
(29)前記ガラスサブアッセンブリに結合されたポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)サブアッセンブリを更に備え、このPETサブアッセンブリは、前記誘電体材料を表し、そして前記第2トレースがこのPETサブアッセンブリの頂面に形成される、上記(19)に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
(30)前記PETサブアッセンブリは、前記第1トレースをシールドするために、導電性材料の連続シートが底面に形成されている、上記(29)に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
(31)マルチタッチセンサパネルを形成するための方法において、
第1の実質的に透明の導電性材料の複数の第1トレースを、タッチすることのできる前面及びこの前面とは反対の裏面を有するガラスサブアッセンブリの裏面に形成するステップと、
第2の実質的に透明の材料の複数の第2トレースを、前記第1トレースと誘電体材料の層との間に配置するステップと、
前記第2及び第1トレースを、前記誘電体材料により分離されたクロスオーバー位置において互いにクロスオーバーする配向にするステップであって、前記クロスオーバー位置は、前記ガラスサブアッセンブリの前記前面における1つ以上のタッチを検出するための相互キャパシタンスセンサを形成するものであるステップと、
を備えた方法。
(32)前記第1及び第2の実質的に透明の導電性材料は、同じものである、上記(31)に記載の方法。
(33)電気的相互接続部を隠すために前記ガラスサブアッセンブリの裏面にマスク層を形成するステップを更に備えた、上記(31)に記載の方法。
(34)その後の導電層の形成に使用する偏光層を生成するために、前記ガラスサブアッセンブリの前記裏面において前記第1トレースの上に前記誘電体材料を形成するステップを更に備えた、上記(31)に記載の方法。
(35)前記ガラスサブアッセンブリの裏面において前記誘電体材料の上に前記第2トレースを形成するステップを更に備えた、上記(34)に記載の方法。
(36)前記ガラスサブアッセンブリにポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)サブアッセンブリを結合し、そして前記第1トレースをシールドするためにこのPETサブアッセンブリに導電性材料の連続シートを形成するステップを更に備えた、上記(35)に記載の方法。
(37)前記PETサブアッセンブリに液晶ディスプレイ(LCD)モジュールを結合するステップを更に備えた、上記(36)に記載の方法。
(38)前記ガラスサブアッセンブリにポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)サブアッセンブリを結合するステップを更に備え、このPETサブアッセンブリは、前記誘電体材料を表し、そして前記第2トレースがこのPETサブアッセンブリの底面に形成される、上記(31)に記載の方法。
(39)前記ガラスサブアッセンブリにチップオンガラスを結合するステップを更に備え、このチップオンガラスは、センサパネル回路を含む、上記(38)に記載の方法。
(40)前記PETサブアッセンブリに液晶ディスプレイ(LCD)モジュールを結合するステップを更に備えた、上記(39)に記載の方法。
(41)前記ガラスサブアッセンブリにポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)サブアッセンブリを結合し、このPETサブアッセンブリは、前記誘電体材料を表し、そして前記第2トレースをこのPETサブアッセンブリの頂面に形成するステップを更に備えた、上記(31)に記載の方法。
(42)前記第1トレースをシールドするために、前記PETサブアッセンブリの底面に導電性材料の連続シートを形成するステップを更に備えた、上記(41)に記載の方法。
(43)マルチタッチセンサパネルを形成するための方法において、
第1の実質的に透明の導電性材料の複数の第1トレースと、誘電体材料で分離された第2の実質的に透明の導電性材料の複数の第2トレースとを成層し、そしてこれら複数の第1及び第2トレースを、前記誘電体材料により分離されたクロスオーバー位置において互いにクロスオーバーする配向とすることにより、複数の相互キャパシタンスセンサを形成するステップであって、前記クロスオーバー位置が前記相互キャパシタンスセンサを形成するようなステップ、
を備え、前記複数の第1トレース及び前記複数の第2トレースの一方又は両方がガラスサブアッセンブリの裏面に形成され、このガラスサブアッセンブリは、前記裏面とは反対の前面を有し、これにタッチできるようにした、方法。
(44)前記第1及び第2の実質的に透明の導電性材料は、同じものである、上記(43)に記載の方法。
(45)電気的相互接続部を隠すために前記ガラスサブアッセンブリの裏面にマスク層を形成するステップを更に備えた、上記(43)に記載の方法。
(46)その後の導電層の形成に使用する偏光層を生成するために、前記ガラスサブアッセンブリの前記裏面において前記第1トレースの上に前記誘電体材料を形成するステップを更に備えた、上記(43)に記載の方法。
(47)前記ガラスサブアッセンブリの裏面において前記誘電体材料の上に前記第2トレースを形成するステップを更に備えた、上記(46)に記載の方法。
(48)前記ガラスサブアッセンブリにポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)サブアッセンブリを結合し、そして前記第1トレースをシールドするためにこのPETサブアッセンブリに導電性材料の連続シートを形成するステップを更に備えた、上記(47)に記載の方法。
(49)前記PETサブアッセンブリに液晶ディスプレイ(LCD)モジュールを結合するステップを更に備えた、上記(48)に記載の方法。
(50)前記ガラスサブアッセンブリにポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)サブアッセンブリを結合するステップを更に備え、このPETサブアッセンブリは、前記誘電体材料を表し、そして前記第2トレースがこのPETサブアッセンブリの底面に形成される、上記(43)に記載の方法。
(51)前記ガラスサブアッセンブリにチップオンガラスを結合するステップを更に備え、このチップオンガラスは、センサパネル回路を含む、上記(50)に記載の方法。
(52)前記PETサブアッセンブリに液晶ディスプレイ(LCD)モジュールを結合するステップを更に備えた、上記(51)に記載の方法。
(53)前記ガラスサブアッセンブリにポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)サブアッセンブリを結合し、このPETサブアッセンブリは、前記誘電体材料を表し、そして前記第2トレースをこのPETサブアッセンブリの頂面に形成するステップを更に備えた、上記(43)に記載の方法。
(54)前記第1トレースをシールドするために、前記PETサブアッセンブリの底面に導電性材料の連続シートを形成するステップを更に備えた、上記(53)に記載の方法。

Claims (18)
- タッチすることのできる前面及びこの前面とは反対の裏面を有する上部サブアッセンブリと、
前記上部サブアッセンブリの前記裏面に形成された第1の実質的に透明の導電性材料の複数の第1トレースと、
第2の実質的に透明の導電性材料の複数の第2トレースと、
前記第1トレースと前記第2トレースとの間に結合された誘電体材料と、
前記上部サブアッセンブリに結合されたポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)サブアッセンブリと、を備え、
前記複数の第1トレースおよび前記複数の第2トレースは、前記誘電体材料により分離されたクロスオーバー位置において互いにクロスオーバーする配向とされ、前記クロスオーバー位置は、前記上部サブアッセンブリの前記前面における1つ以上のタッチを検出するための相互キャパシタンスセンサを形成し、
前記誘電体材料は、前記上部サブアッセンブリの前記裏面において前記第1トレースの上に形成され、
前記第2トレースは、前記上部サブアッセンブリの前記裏面において前記誘電体材料の上に形成され、
前記ポリエチレンテレフタレートサブアッセンブリには、前記上部サブアッセンブリをシールドするために導電性材料のシートが形成されている、マルチタッチセンサパネル。 - 前記ポリエチレンテレフタレートサブアッセンブリに結合された液晶ディスプレイ(LCD)モジュールを更に備えた、請求項1に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
- 前記ポリエチレンテレフタレートサブアッセンブリと前記液晶ディスプレイとの間に、エアギャップが配置されている、請求項2に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
- 前記上部サブアッセンブリの前記前面を部分的に覆うオーバーハングベゼルをさらに有する、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
- 前記導電性材料のシートは、透明の導電性材料から成る、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
- 前記透明の導電性材料は、インジウムスズ酸化物を含む、請求項5に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
- 前記導電性材料のシートは、連続シートを有する、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
- 前記上部サブアッセンブリと前記ポリエチレンテレフタレートサブアッセンブリとの間に配置された感圧接着剤をさらに有する、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
- 前記ポリエチレンテレフタレートサブアッセンブリに結合された液晶ディスプレイ(LCD)モジュールと、
前記ポリエチレンテレフタレートサブアッセンブリと液晶ディスプレイモジュールとの間に配置された感圧接着剤と、をさらに有する、請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。 - タッチすることのできる前面及びこの前面とは反対の裏面を有する上部サブアッセンブリと、
前記上部サブアッセンブリの前記裏面に形成された第1の実質的に透明の導電性材料の複数の第1トレースと、
前記上部サブアッセンブリの裏面に結合されたポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)サブアッセンブリと、
前記複数の第1トレースとは反対側の前記ポリエチレンテレフタレートサブアッセンブリに配置された第2の実質的に透明の導電性材料の複数の第2トレースと、を備え、
前記複数の第1トレースおよび前記複数の第2トレースは、誘電体材料により分離されたクロスオーバー位置において互いにクロスオーバーする配向とされ、前記クロスオーバー位置は、前記上部サブアッセンブリの前記前面における1つ以上のタッチを検出するための相互キャパシタンスセンサを形成し、
前記ポリエチレンテレフタレートサブアッセンブリには、前記上部サブアッセンブリをシールドするために導電性材料のシートが形成されている、マルチタッチセンサパネル。 - 前記ポリエチレンテレフタレートサブアッセンブリに結合された液晶ディスプレイ(LCD)モジュールを更に備えた、請求項10に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
- 前記ポリエチレンテレフタレートサブアッセンブリと前記液晶ディスプレイとの間に、エアギャップが配置されている、請求項11に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
- 前記上部サブアッセンブリの前記前面を部分的に覆うオーバーハングベゼルをさらに有する、請求項10〜12のいずれか1項に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
- 前記導電性材料のシートは、透明の導電性材料から成る、請求項10〜13のいずれか1項に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
- 前記透明の導電性材料は、インジウムスズ酸化物を含む、請求項14に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
- 前記導電性材料のシートは、連続シートを有する、請求項10〜15のいずれか1項に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
- 前記上部サブアッセンブリと前記ポリエチレンテレフタレートサブアッセンブリとの間に配置された感圧接着剤をさらに有する、請求項10〜16のいずれか1項に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
- 前記ポリエチレンテレフタレートサブアッセンブリに結合された液晶ディスプレイ(LCD)モジュールと、
前記ポリエチレンテレフタレートサブアッセンブリと液晶ディスプレイモジュールとの間に配置された感圧接着剤と、をさらに有する、請求項10〜17のいずれか1項に記載のマルチタッチセンサパネル。
