Abstract
1486988 Touch responsive switches MARCONI CO Ltd 27 Feb 1976 [15 April 1975] 15376/75 Heading G1N [Also in Division G4] A touch pad position resolver arrangement comprises a sheet of electrically polarized transparent plastics material having a first array of pairs of conductors 2A, 2B on one face in crossing relationship with a second array of pairs of conductors 3A, 3B on its opposite face. The conductors feed differential amplifiers 5, 7 as shown in the drawing. When a cross-point is pressed, a signal is obtained from one of amplifiers 5 and one of amplifiers 7. The arrangement can be overlaid on displays such as maps, indicating panels and CRTs.
