Description
光透過型導電層と、
固体電気光学媒体導電層と電気的に接続している層と、
接着層と、
剥離シート。
光透過型導電層と、固体電気光学媒体導電層と電気的に接続している層と、接着層とを順に備える前面組立体を形成し、
前面組立体の一部から電気光学媒体と接着層とを除去することにより、電気光学媒体と接着層とがない導電層が露出している接続領域を形成し、
導電性バイアを接続領域に形成し、
少なくとも1つのピクセル電極と、少なくとも1つのピクセル電極から電気的に絶縁している少なくとも1つのコンタクトパッドとを備えるバックプレーンを形成し、
接着層が、少なくとも1つのピクセル電極と少なくとも1つのコンタクトパッドと電気的に接続している導電性バイアとに隣接して配置されている電気光学媒体でバックプレーンに接着し、導電層が、導電性バイアを介して少なくとも1つのコンタクトパッドと電気的に接続しているように、前面組立体をバックプレーンに積層する。
光透過型導電層を備える基板を形成し、
基板の接続領域はコーティングしないで固体電気光学媒体を基板の一部にコーティングし、
接続領域はコーティングしないで接着層を電気光学媒体にコーティングすることにより、前面組立体を形成し、
少なくとも1つのピクセル電極と、少なくとも1つのピクセル電極から電気的に絶縁しているコンタクトパッドとを備えるバックプレーンを形成し、
接着層が、少なくとも1つのピクセル電極に隣接して配置されている電気光学媒体と、コンタクトパッドと電気的に接続している接続領域内の導電層とでバックプレーンに接着するように、前面組立体をバックプレーンに積層する。
以下を順に備える製造品を形成し、
光透過型導電層と、
固体電気光学媒体導電層と電気的に接続している層と、
接着層と、
第二の導電層を有する剥離シート、
2つの電気的導電層の間に電位差を印加することにより、媒体上に画像を形成し、
このように形成された画像を観察する。
以下を順に備える製造品を形成し
光透過型導電層と、
固体電気光学媒体導電層と電気的に接続している層と、
接着層と、
剥離シート、
静電荷を剥離シートにおくことにより、画像を媒体上に形成し、
このように形成された画像を観察する。
すでに示したように、本発明は、ラミネートをバックプレーンに最終的に接着する前に、ラミネートの電気光学媒体および他の構成部品を検査する方法を提供する。
Claims (17)
- 光透過型の第一の導電層と、
該第一の導電層と電気的に接触している固体電気光学媒体層であって、電界の印加により第一の表示状態から第二の表示状態へと変化可能である固体電気光学媒体層と、
接着層と、
第二の導電層と、
剥離シートであって、該剥離シートに対して該第二の導電層が固定される、剥離シートと
を順に備え、
該剥離シートおよび該第二の導電層は、該接着層から剥離可能である、電気光学表示装置の製造において用いる構成部品。 - 前記第一の導電層が金属酸化物を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電気光学表示装置の製造において用いる構成部品。
- 前記第一の導電層がインジウムスズ酸化物を含むことを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の電気光学表示装置の製造において用いる構成部品。
- 前記電気光学媒体層が回転重クロム材媒体または電気着色媒体を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の電気光学表示装置の製造において用いる構成部品。
- 前記電気光学媒体層が電気泳動媒体であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の電気光学表示装置の製造において用いる構成部品。
- 前記電気泳動媒体が封止電気泳動媒体であることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の電気光学表示装置の製造において用いる構成部品。
- 前記電気光学媒体層および前記接着層がなく前記第一の導電層が露出している接続領域を有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の電気光学表示装置の製造において用いる構成部品。
- 前記接続領域が、該接続領域が前記電気光学媒体層と前記接着層とにより囲まれるように、該電気光学媒体層と該接着層とを貫通して延設する開口により形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の電気光学表示装置の製造において用いる構成部品。
- 前記剥離シートが前記接続領域を横切って延設しないことを特徴とする、請求項7または8に記載の電気光学表示装置の製造において用いる構成部品。
- 前記第一の導電層と電気的に接触している導電性バイアであって、前記電気光学媒体層および前記接着層を貫通して、あるいは越えて該第一の導電層から延設している導電性バイアを有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の電気光学表示装置の製造において用いる構成部品。
- 前記第一の導電層から離れている前記導電性バイアの終端が前記剥離シートで覆われていないことを特徴とする、請求項10に記載の電気光学表示装置の製造において用いる構成部品。
- 前記導電性バイアが、変形可能な材料から形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項10または11に記載の電気光学表示装置の製造において用いる構成部品。
- 前記導電性バイアが、ポリマーマトリックスに分散している導電性粒子を含む材料から形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項10または11に記載の電気光学表示装置の製造において用いる構成部品。
- 前記第一の導電層は、前記接続領域内に厚さが増した部分を有する、請求項7に記載の電気光学表示装置の製造において用いる構成部品。
- 前記第一の導電層に対して前記電気光学媒体層とは反対側に補助接着層を有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜14のいずれか一項に記載の電気光学表示装置の製造において用いる構成部品。
- 前記補助接着層を覆う補助剥離シートを有することを特徴とする、請求項15に記載の電気光学表示装置の製造において用いる構成部品。
- 光透過型の第一の導電層と、該第一の導電層と電気的に接触している固体電気光学媒体層であって、電界の印加により第一の表示状態から第二の表示状態へと変化可能である固体電気光学媒体層と、接着層と、第二の導電層と、剥離シートとを順に備える製造品を提供することと、
複数のピクセル電極と、該ピクセル電極に可変電位を印加するよう構成された駆動手段とを備えるバックプレーンを提供することと、
該接着層から該剥離シートおよび該第二の導電層を除去することと、
該接着層を該バックプレーンに接着させるのに有効な条件下で該接着層を該バックプレーンに接触させることにより、該接着層と該電気光学媒体層と該第一の導電層とを該バックプレーンに固定することと
を含む、固体電気光学表示装置を製造する方法。
