Description
本願は、米国仮特許出願第61/168,349号(出願日2009年4月10日)の利益を主張し、当該仮特許出願の開示内容は、その全体を参照することによって本明細書に含まれている。

自動化小売店の1つの実施例において、買い物端末は、本質的に、CPU、メモリ、無線ネットワークインタフェース(802.11b等)、バーコードスキャナ、及びユーザインタフェース(ユーザへの情報を表示するスクリーン、ボタン及び/またはユーザからのタッチ入力を許容する透明タッチスクリーンオーバーレイからなるもの)からなる携帯バッテリー駆動コンピュータである。スキャナ上のソフトウェアは、オペレーティングシステム(リナックス(登録商標)等)、ブラウザ(オペラ等)、及びデバイスドライバを含む。システムマスタコンピュータ上で実行されるアプリケーション-サーバソフトウェアは、スクリーンに表示されるべき情報を生成する。買い物端末上のブラウザは、端末とアプリケーション-サーバソフトウェアとの間の情報の相互交換を制御し、端末のスクリーンにサーバに提供された情報を表示する。アプリケーション-サーバソフトウェアに対して端末(従って買い物客)を特定するために使用される固有の識別子が、買い物端末の各々のメモリ内に保存されている。買い物端末として使用可能な現存する市場入手可能なハンドヘルドデバイスの2つの例は、Symbol Technologies社のPPT2800及びPDT7200である。
買い物が完了すると、買い物客は、ロビーにある利用可能な精算ステーション361107に進む。銀行におけるATMに似て、精算ステーション361107は、それ自体が、CPU、メモリ、ネットワークインタフェース(無線または有線)、並びにクーポン獲得デバイス、現金両替機、磁気カードリーダ、プリンタ及びタッチセンサ式のスクリーン周辺機器のアレイを有するコンピュータである。精算ステーションの各々は、その前面に目立つように配されている識別バーコードを有しており、顧客は、買い物端末でこのバーコードをスキャンすることによって精算手続きを開始する。このことは、精算ステーションを稼働させ、買い物端末を停止させる。最後の数量変更の後、顧客は、注文の内容に責任を持ち、クーポン、現金及び/または電子決済で支払いを行う。大量の精算マシンを導入することで、小売店主は、精算において顧客が行列内で待つ必要を効果的に解消することが可能である。
一度支払いが完了すると、生産ステーション361107は、バーコードID番号を含む紙のレシートを印刷する。スクリーンは、店での買い物に対する顧客への感謝を述べ、買い物端末の返却を求め、注文品を受け取れるようになるまでのおおよその時間を顧客に報告するメッセージを表示する。その後、顧客は、買い物端末の置き場に端末を返却し、彼または彼女の車に行き、受け取りエリア361103に車で移動する。受け取りエリア36113において、顧客の注文が搬送システムによって配送される特定の受け取りベイ361110に顧客を誘導するサインが出される。レシート上のバーコードが確認のためにスキャンされ、その後、注文品が、顧客または店の従業員による顧客の車への積み込みのために放出される。
第13の実施例によれば、少なくとも1つの搬送ステーションは、支持シェルフの経路内に伸張する少なくとも1つのインフィード搬送ステーションを含み、支持シェルフは、少なくとも1つのインフィード搬送ステーションとインタフェースをとり、少なくとも1つのインフィード搬送ステーションから、搬入支持シェルフの少なくとも1つの所定のエリアにて非収容ケースユニットを受け取り、搬入支持シェルフの所定のエリアは、少なくとも1つのインフィード搬送ステーション場所に対応している。
Claims (20)
- 倉庫保管及び取り出しシステムであって、
少なくとも1つの搬送デッキ、取り出し通路、及び取り出し通路に沿って配されており異なる荷物を保持する保管エリアを有するマルチレベル保管ラックのアレイと、
マルチレベル保管ラックモジュールのアレイの前記保管エリアを可変にサイズ決定して、該可変にサイズ決定された保管エリアの各々を割り当て、割り当てられた前記可変にサイズ決定された保管エリアは前記異なる荷物の対応する1つに適合するように可変にサイズ決定されるように構成された管理モジュールを含むコントローラと、を含み、
前記保管及び取り出しシステムは、前記コントローラによって割り当てられた前記可変にサイズ決定された保管エリア内に配置するために、前記異なる荷物を搬送するように配されていることを特徴とする、倉庫保管及び取り出しシステム。 - 前記コントローラは、前記マルチレベル保管ラックモジュールのアレイ内の前記保管エリアの位置を変更するように構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の倉庫保管及び取り出しシステム。
- 前記コントローラは、前記可変にサイズ決定された保管エリアの各々の寸法を変更するように構成されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の倉庫保管及び取り出しシステム。
- 前記コントローラは、隣り合う可変にサイズ決定された保管エリアを結合させるように構成されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の倉庫保管及び取り出しシステム。
- 前記コントローラは、前記異なる荷物のうちの所定の荷物のサイズに応じて少なくとも1つの可変にサイズ決定された保管エリアのサイズを決定するかまたはサイズ変更するように構成されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の倉庫保管及び取り出しシステム。
- 前記コントローラは、少なくとも1つの所定の注文達成期間の終了時において在庫量を判定して、該判定された在庫量に基づいて在庫補充注文をスケジューリングするように構成される在庫プランニングモジュールをさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の倉庫保管及び取り出しシステム。
- 前記コントローラは、前記保管エリアから少なくとも1つの前記異なる荷物を取り出す少なくとも1つの取り出しトランザクションを生成するように構成される注文管理モジュールをさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の倉庫保管及び取り出しシステム。
- 前記注文管理モジュールは、前記荷物が取り出されるべき前記保管エリアを判定し、前記保管及び取り出しシステムのリソースを予約して、前記保管エリアからの前記少なくとも1つの前記異なる荷物の搬送をなすように構成されることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の倉庫保管及び取り出しシステム。
- 前記倉庫保管及び取り出しシステムは、積層フロアのレベルの各々に配置されている少なくとも1つのボットをさらに含み、前記少なくとも1つのボットの各々は前記異なる荷物を搬送するように構成され、前記コントローラは、少なくとも1つのレベル管理ユニットをさらに含み、前記レベル管理ユニットの各々は前記積層フロアのレベルの各々に対応し、前記レベルの各々の前記異なる荷物の進入及び退出に関するボット動作を管理するように構成されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の倉庫保管及び取り出しシステム。
- 前記倉庫保管及び取り出しシステムは、積層フロアのレベルの各々に配置されている少なくとも1つのボットをさらに含み、前記少なくとも1つのボットの各々は前記異なる荷物を搬送するように構成され、前記コントローラは、ボットの各々が所定の時刻に前記少なくとも1つの搬送デッキ及び取り出し通路の各々の1つに進入するようにボット動作を管理するように構成されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の倉庫保管及び取り出しシステム。
- 前記コントローラは、前記保管エリアの1または複数のレベルと搬送ステーションとを接続する少なくとも1つの連続的なリフトを管理する少なくとも1つの管理ユニットを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の倉庫保管及び取り出しシステム。
- 前記倉庫保管及び取り出しシステムは、各々が異なった寸法を有する個々の前記異なる荷物を前記可変にサイズ決定された保管エリアに搬送するように構成される搬送システムをさらに含み、
前記コントローラが、前記異なる荷物の対応する荷物の前記寸法に応じて前記可変にサイズ決定された保管エリアの各々を構築するようにさらに構成され、前記コントローラは、前記搬送システムに、各々に構築された保管エリア内に個々の異なる荷物の各々を配置させることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の倉庫保管及び取り出しシステム。 - 前記マルチレベル保管ラックモジュールのアレイ内の前記可変保管エリアの位置は可変であることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の倉庫保管及び取り出しシステム。
- 前記可変保管エリアの寸法は、前記異なる荷物の前記対応する荷物の寸法によって可変であることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の倉庫保管及び取り出しシステム。
- 前記マルチレベル保管ラックのアレイのレベルの各々は、少なくとも1つの自律搬送装置、自律搬送装置移動ループ、及び少なくとも1つのマルチレベル垂直コンベヤアクセスステーションを含み、前記自律搬送装置移動ループは、前記少なくとも1つの自律搬送装置に、保管エリアの各々及び前記少なくとも1つのマルチレベル垂直コンベヤアクセスステーションの各々へのアクセスを提供するように構成されることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の倉庫保管及び取り出しシステム。
- 保管エリアの列は前記取り出し通路によって分離され、前記保管及び取り出しシステムは、前記取り出し通路の各々の端部に配されている遷移ベイをさらに含み、前記遷移ベイは、前記自律搬送装置移動ループ内の物理的に制約されていない移動と前記取り出し通路内の物理的に制約されて案内された移動との間の前記少なくとも1つの自律搬送装置の遷移をもたらすように構成されることを特徴とする、請求項15に記載の倉庫保管及び取り出しシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つのマルチレベル垂直コンベヤアクセスステーションは、前記自律搬送装置移動ループに沿った移動を妨害しないように構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項15に記載の倉庫保管及び取り出しシステム。
- 前記マルチレベル保管ラックのアレイの各々のレベルは、実質的に剛体のフロアを含むことを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の倉庫保管及び取り出しシステム。
