Abstract

resumo patente de invenção: "método e sistema para previsão agora de precipitação com base em distribuições de probabilidade". a presente invenção refere-se a um sistema e um método para a geração de previsões agora para uma dada localização ao longo de um período. o sistema recebe observações de clima e predições para a dada localização a partir de uma pluralidade de fontes de clima, e processa esta informação para a determinação de uma distribuição de probabilidade do tipo de precipitação (ptype) e uma distribuição de probabilidade da taxa de precipitação (prate) por um período. estas duas distribuições de probabilidade então podem ser combinadas em uma pluralidade de distribuições de probabilidade (previsões de ptyperate) indicando a probabilidade de ocorrência de um certo tipo de precipitação em uma certa taxa por um período pela dada localização. em algumas modalidades, ao invés de se determinar a distribuição de ptype, um tipo de precipitação pode ser selecionado com base nas observações de clima sendo introduzidas no sistema para a produção de uma previsão de ptyperate indicando a probabilidade de ocorrência do tipo de precipitação selecionado em uma certa taxa por um período pela dada localização.
