背景技术
电连接器使用导电触头来提供电子设备之间的信号连接。有时需要不改变连接器的物理尺寸(高度、宽度、深度、匹配接口、以及安装接口)而增大经由现存连接器的数据传送。然而，改变电连接器的一个方面而不无意地改变另一个方面是困难的。例如，能够向电连接器加入金属串扰屏蔽以减小串扰，但是屏蔽的增加一般会降低阻抗。在较低的数据传输速度，如1至1.25吉比特/秒时，阻抗匹配并不实质上影响性能。然而，随着数据传输速度增大至10吉比特/秒到40吉比特/秒以及其间的任何离散的点，偏斜和阻抗不匹配就成问题了。因此，虽然通过向现存电连接器加入金属串扰屏蔽能够降低串扰，但是会产生其他信号完整性的问题。

发明内容

每个肋74限定横截面距离D，所述横截面距离D在与外周边80正交的方向上沿第二平面T-L2延伸。所述距离D沿给定肋74的长度能够是一致的，所述给定肋例如为图4A中所示出的最下部的肋74。替代地，所述距离D能够相应地沿给定肋的长度在前部端部83和后部端部85之间发生变化。例如，所述距离D在后部部分84处能够比在前部部分82处小。换句话说，所述距离D能够沿着材74的长度从后部部分84至前部部分82增大。同样地，设置在各信号触头56的相邻对57之间的间隙59能够沿安装端部60向配对端部58的方向增大，以容纳肋74的逐渐增大的横截面距离D。

由此中壁部分96设置在相对于接地板主体64的内表面72侧向地偏移的位置处。根据所例示的实施例，所述中壁部分96限定出位于第一平面T-L1中的肋74的远端部98。所述中壁部分96能够包括沿与限定出对应的间隙59的信号触头56正交地延伸的方向的弯曲部分，或者能够替代地或附加地包括沿与限定间隙59的信号触头56正交地延伸的方向的平坦部分。在这点上，应当理解，所述中壁部分96能够替代地沿与限定对应的间隙59的信号触头56正交地延伸的方向是整体地弯曲的，或者沿与限定间隙59的信号触头56正交地延伸的方向是整体地平坦的。由此，所述肋74能够限定出彼此不同的弯曲度。由此应当理解，肋74能够为弯曲的或锥形的，并且由此避免了相对于差动信号触头56超出平面T-L1的锐利的边缘。此外，每个肋74能够沿其长度与其相邻的限定对应的间隙59的信号触头56以一致的距离间隔开来。而且，每个肋74与其相邻的信号触头56间隔开来的距离能够与一个或更多直至所有其他肋74与其相邻的信号触头间隔开来的距离大体上相等。
虽然如所例示，中壁部分96能够位于第一平面中，应当理解，所述肋74可以替代地在从第一平面T-L1向内、或越过第一平面T-L1定位的远端部98处终止。根据所例示的实施例，所述中壁部分96以距接地板62的内表面72大体上恒定的侧向距离LD延伸，所述侧向距离LD大体上与第二平面T-L2和第一平面T-L1之间的侧向距离相等。

继续参考图4A-6C，每个肋74能够限定第一宽度W1和第二宽度W2，所述第一宽度W1在近端部92处沿平行于接地板平面T-L2的方向延伸，所述第二宽度W2在远端部98处沿平行于接地板平面T-L2的方向延伸，根据所例示的实施例，所述第二宽度W2小于第一宽度W1。至少一个肋74的宽度W1和W2能够小于、大于或大体上等于一个或多个其他肋74的对应宽度W1和W2之一或二者。
虽然例示出肋74从其相应的前端部83至其后端部85连续地延伸，应当理解，一个或更多直至所有肋74也能够在前端部83和后端部85之间是非连续或分段的。例如，如图8中所例示，能够将一个或更多的肋74设置为分离的肋段74a和74b，每个肋段74a和74b限定相应的封闭的周边80a和80b，所述封闭的周边80a和80b在对应的配对端部66和安装端部68之间相互间隔开来。替代地或附加地，给定肋74的中壁部分96能够从内表面72凸出的距离沿肋74在前端部83和后端部85之间的长度而变化。
虽然图6B-C示出了引线框外壳54包覆模制在信号触头56和接地板62之上，应当理解，能将信号触头56、接地板62、或信号触头56和接地板62二者谨慎地接合至引线框外壳54。此外，虽然示出了接地板62沿其长度抵靠引线框外壳54，但是能够替代地由引线框外壳54在接地板62的离散位置支撑接地板62，以使得在外壳54和接地板62之间和所需要的位置设置一个或更多空气间隙。例如，引线框外壳54和肋74之间的空气间隙会允许当接地板62接合至引线框外壳54时存在用于肋74的余隙。应当进一步理解，当引线框外壳54被包覆模制在接地板62上时，可以进一步设置此空气间隙。同样地，虽然示出了信号触头56沿其长度抵靠引线框外壳54，能够替代地由引线框外壳54在信号触头56的离散位置支撑信号触头56，以使得在外壳54和信号触头之间和所需要的位置设置空气间隙。应当进一步理解，当引线框外壳54包覆模制在信号触头56上时，可以进一步设置此空气间隙。
现在参考图7A-B，例示出电连接器24包括多个上文所说明的类型的IMLA40。例示出了四个IMLA40，所述IMLA40具有沿相应的公共中心线CL延伸的电触头44，但是应当理解，连接器24能够包括所需要任何数量的IMLA40。每个IMLA能够包括所需要数量的电信号触头对57和交错的肋74。由此，一个或更多直至所有的ILMA40能够包括上文所说明的类型的接地板62。IMLA40包括大体上同样构造的第一类型的IMLA40A和大体上同样构造的第二类型的IMLA40B。所述IMLA40A和40B沿侧向A交替地布置。根据所例示的实施例，第一IMLA40A的信号触头56相对于所述第二IMLA40B的信号触头56错开。因此，第一IMLA40A的相邻信号对57之间的间隙59相对于第二IMLA40B的间隙59错开。应当理解，配对端部66和安装端部68能够随需要从沿接地板主体64的任何位置延伸，以使得配对端部66以上文所说明的方式设置在信号触头56的配对端部58之间并与信号触头56的配对端部58对准，并且安装端部68以上文所说明的方式设置在信号触头56的安装端部60之间并与信号触头56的安装端部60对准。
例如，根据一个实施例，第一IMLA40A的配对端部46布置为在沿着从配对接口30的顶部向配对接口30的底部的公共中心线CL的方向上以重复的G-S-S-G-S-S图案布置，其中“G”表示电接地触头配对端部66，而“S”表示电信号触头配对端部58。此外，根据一个实施例，第二IMLA40B的配对端部46布置为在沿从配对接口30的顶部向配对接口30的底部的公共中心线CL的方向上以重复的S-S-G-S-S-G图案布置，其中“G”表示电接地触头配对端部66，而“S”表示电信号触头配对端部58。
由此应当理解，生产电连接器的方法包括以下步骤：1)提供多个电信号触头56，2)将所述电信号触头56沿第一平面T-L1保持在引线框外壳54中，以限定出设置在相邻的电信号触头56的对之间的间隙59，3)提供具有接地板主体64的接地板62，所述接地板主体64相应地限定出相反的第一表面72和第二表面70，4)将多个肋74冲压在接地板主体64的第二表面70中，以使得肋74相应地限定出相反的第一表面75和第二表面77，其中每个肋74的第一表面75从接地板主体64的第一表面72向外凸出，并且每个肋的第二表面77凹进到接地板主体64的第二表面70中，以及5)将接地板62接合至引线框外壳54，以使得接地板主体64定向在第二平面T-L2中，所述第二平面T-L2相对于第一平面T-L1偏移，并且每个肋74的第一表面75朝着相应的一个间隙59凸出，所述间隙59是由电信号触头56的相邻的对57限定的。
接地板62是宽的连续导体，并且比如美国专利No.7,497,736中所说明电连接器的接地触头宽，该美国专利中的电连接器与电连接器24大体上相同，只是所述大体上相同的电连接器不包括接地板62，而是包括在间隙59中延伸的离散接地触头，所述间隙59限定相对的接地配对端部和接地安装端部。因此，应当理解，所述电连接器24是基于该大体上相同的电连接器进行的改进，只是所述电连接器24没有离散的接地触头，而是有利地具有在信号触头56的相邻的对57之间延伸的肋74的接地板62。由此，电连接器是相对于具有离散接地触头的无屏蔽的、高密度的、直角电连接器进行的改进，而没有显著降低匹配阻抗并没有显著增大电感。根据本发明的实施例，电连接器24的阻抗并未相对于修改前的连接器有显著改变，电连接器24的电感比同样的修改前的连接器的接地触头低，所述电连接器24的串扰与同样的修改前的连接器相比较低，并且所述电连接器24的总体尺寸与那些的修改前的连接器相同。
例如，可以相信接地板62提供低阻抗的公共路径，所述公共路径拦截并耗散信号触头56之间的杂散电磁能量，否则所述杂散电磁能量会是串扰的来源。还相信如上文所说明的并入了IMLA40的连接器能够在13GHz运行而在受影响的对上具有可接受的最坏情况的多重有源串扰为不大于百分之六，例如小于百分之一，如百分之0.4。所述最坏情况的多重有源串扰可以由美国专利No.7,497,736中所说明的方式确定。

Claims (15)

1.一种电连接器，包括：
绝缘外壳；
多个电信号触头，由绝缘外壳承载，并沿第一平面布置，其中所述电信号触头限定出电信号对，以使得在相邻的电信号对之间设置相应的间隙；
接地板，由绝缘外壳承载，所述接地板包括接地板主体，所述接地板主体定向在大体上平行于第一平面并从第一平面偏移的第二平面中，所述接地板主体限定出多个配对端部、多个安装端部、以及相反的第一表面和第二表面，所述接地板包括完全地被包含在所述接地板主体中的多个肋，所述肋限定出相反的第一表面和第二表面，其中所述多个肋的第一表面在朝着所述间隙的方向上从接地板主体的第一表面凸出，并且所述多个肋的第二表面凹进在接地板主体的第二表面中，所述多个肋限定出第一部分和第二部分，所述第二部分邻近所述接地板的所述多个安装端部，所述电信号触头限定出对应的配对端部和安装端部，并且所述接地板的相应的配对端部和安装端部从所述接地板主体延伸并设置在所述第一平面中。
2.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器，其特征在于，所述绝缘外壳为包覆模制在电信号触头上的引线框外壳。
3.根据权利要求2所述的电连接器，其特征在于，所述接地板离散地结合至引线框外壳。
4.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器，其特征在于，所述多个肋中的至少一个肋压印入接地板中并且所述多个肋中的所述至少一个肋限定出弯曲的外壁部分。
5.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器，其中所述多个肋每个限定出相反的第一表面和第二表面。
6.根据权利要求5所述的电连接器，其特征在于，所述多个肋中的至少一个肋沿着相对于所述多个肋而言不同的长度延伸。
7.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器，其特征在于，所述多个肋每个具有设置在第一平面中的部分，并且至少一个肋的设置在第一平面中的部分具有与所述多个肋的设置在第一平面中的部分不同的弯曲度。
8.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器，其特征在于，所述多个肋中的至少一个肋是分段的。
9.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器，其特征在于，所述电连接器具有与不包括接地板而是包括设置在间隙中的离散电接地触头的大体上同样构造的电连接器相同的总体尺寸。
10.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器，其特征在于，所述电信号对包括差动信号对并且所述多个肋用作相应的相邻差动信号各对之间的接地触头。
11.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器，其特征在于，所述电信号触头为直角触头。
12.一种电连接器，包括：
组织器；以及
由所述组织器保持的多个嵌模的引线框组件，每个所述嵌模的引线框组件包括：
绝缘外壳；
多个电信号触头，由绝缘外壳承载，并沿第一平面布置，其中所述电信号触头成对布置，以使得在相邻的电信号触头的各对之间设置相应的间隙，所述电信号触头限定相应的配对端部和安装端部；
接地板，由绝缘外壳承载，所述接地板包括多个配对端部、多个安装端部、以及接地板主体，所述接地板主体定向在大体上平行于第一平面并从第一平面偏移的第二平面中，所述接地板主体限定出相反的第一表面和第二表面，所述接地板包括：
多个压印的肋，每个所述肋完全地被包含在所述接地板主体中并且每个肋限定出相反的第一表面和第二表面，其中每个肋的第一表面在朝着相应一个间隙的方向上从接地板主体的第一表面凸出，肋的第二表面凹进在接地板主体的第二表面中，所述多个压印的肋每个都限定第一部分和第二部分，所述多个压印的肋的所述第一部分靠近所述多个配对端部，并且所述压印的肋取代相邻的电信号触头的各对之间的接地触头；
所述多个配对端部从接地板主体延伸，并且从所述接地板主体偏移以在第一平面中的与电信号触头的配对端部对准的相应间隙中延伸；以及
所述多个安装端部从接地板主体延伸，并且从所述接地板主体偏移以在第一平面中的与电信号触头的安装端部对准的相应间隙中延伸，
其中从接地板主体延伸的所述多个配对端部和所述多个安装端部设置在所述第一平面中。
13.根据权利要求12所述的电连接器，其特征在于，所述多个嵌模的引线框组件包括交替地布置的第一类型的嵌模的引线框组件和第二类型的嵌模的引线框组件，其中第一类型的嵌模的引线框组件的电信号触头相对于第二类型的嵌模的引线框组件的电信号触头交错。
14.一种制造电连接器的方法，包括以下步骤：
提供多个电信号触头；
将所述电信号触头沿第一平面保持在绝缘外壳中，以限定出设置在相邻的电信号触头的各对之间的间隙；
提供具有接地板主体的接地板，接地板主体限定出多个配对端部、多个安装端部、以及相反的第一表面和第二表面；
将多个肋冲压入接地板主体的第二表面中，以使得肋完全地被包含在所述接地板主体中并且每个肋都限定出相反的第一表面和第二表面，其中每个肋的第一表面从接地板主体的第一表面向外凸出，每个肋的第二表面凹进在接地板主体的第二表面中；并且
将接地板接合至绝缘外壳，以使得接地板主体定向在第二平面中，所述第二平面相对于第一平面偏移，并且每个肋的第一表面朝着由电信号触头的相邻各对限定的相应一个间隙凸出，从而冲压的所述肋取代相邻的电信号触头的各对之间的接地触头，所述多个电信号触头限定出相应的配对端部和安装端部，并且所述接地板主体限定的所述多个配对端部和所述接地板主体限定的所述多个安装端部从接地板主体延伸并设置在所述第一平面中。
15.一种电连接器，包括：
绝缘外壳；
多个电信号触头，由绝缘外壳承载，并沿第一平面布置，其中所述电信号触头限定出电信号对，以使得在相邻的电信号对之间设置相应的间隙；
接地板，由绝缘外壳承载，所述接地板包括接地板主体，所述接地板主体定向在大体上平行于第一平面并从第一平面偏移的第二平面中，所述接地板主体限定出相反的第一表面和第二表面，所述接地板包括至少一个肋，所述肋限定出第一部分、第二部分以及相反的第一表面和第二表面，其中肋的第一表面在朝着所述间隙的方向上从接地板主体的第一表面凸出，并且肋的第二表面凹进在接地板主体的第二表面中，
其中所述电信号触头限定出对应的配对端部和安装端部，所述接地板包括从接地板主体延伸并设置在第一平面中的相应的配对端部和安装端部，所述肋的所述第一部分邻近所述接地板的所述配对端部，且所述第二部分邻近所述接地板的所述安装端部。
