Claims (27)
- 航空機座席に用いられるエアバッグシステムであって、前記エアバッグシステムは、
キャビティ及び前記キャビティと連通状態にある開口部を備えたハウジングを含み、前記ハウジングは、前記航空機座席の前方で且つ前記航空機座席の片側に対してオフセットした状態で設けられ、
前記キャビティ内に配置されたエアバッグ組立体を含み、前記エアバッグ組立体は、衝突事故の際に前記航空機座席に座っている人を保護するよう前記開口部を通って前記航空機座席に向かって展開するよう構成されたエアバッグを含み、
前記エアバッグに作動的に結合されたインフレータを含み、
前記開口部を取り外し可能に覆う扉を含み、前記扉は、エアバッグ展開の際、前記開口部から遠ざかるよう構成され、
前記エアバッグシステムは、前記航空機座席の周りに配置された第1のゾーン及び前記航空機座席の前に或る距離を置いたところに配置された第2のゾーンを含み、前記エアバッグは、インフレーション時、前記第1及び前記第2のゾーンに入ることはない、エアバッグシステム。 - 前記扉と前記ハウジングとの間に固定的に取り付けられた少なくとも1本のランヤードを更に含み、前記ランヤードは、前記扉をエアバッグ展開中、前記ハウジングに取り付け保持するように構成されている、請求項1記載のエアバッグシステム。
- 前記エアバッグは、内部しきい圧力を有し、前記エアバッグは、前記内部しきい圧力で開くよう構成された能動型ベントを有する、請求項1記載のエアバッグシステム。
- 前記エアバッグは、第1の部分及び第2の部分を有し、前記第1の部分は、前記エアバッグがインフレートされているとき、前記ハウジングから全体として垂直方向に延び、前記第2の部分は、前記エアバッグがインフレートされているとき、前記第1の部分に対して全体として側方に前記第1の部分から延びる、請求項1記載のエアバッグシステム。
- 前記インフレータは、前記エアバッグから間隔を置いた状態で前記キャビティの外側に配置され、
前記エアバッグシステムは、前記インフレータから前記ハウジングを通って前記エアバッグまで延びるガス送り出しホースを更に含み、前記ガス送り出しホースは、前記インフレータから前記エアバッグまでの流体通路を提供するよう構成されている、請求項1記載のエアバッグシステム。 - 前記インフレータは、前記ハウジングの下に配置されている、請求項5記載のエアバッグシステム。
- 前記座席は、旅客機の通路に隣接して位置する旅客のフロアに取り付けられ、前記ハウジングは、前記通路の近くで前記旅客機の前記フロアに取り付けられている、請求項1記載のエアバッグシステム。
- 前記エアバッグ組立体は、前記エアバッグ組立体を前記ハウジングに取り付ける手段を含む、請求項1記載のエアバッグシステム。
- 前記エアバッグ組立体は、前記エアバッグ内に設けられていて前記エアバッグ組立体を前記ハウジングに取り付けるよう構成された取り付けプレートを含む、請求項1記載のエアバッグシステム。
- 前記取り付けプレートは、内部取り付けプレートであり、前記エアバッグ組立体は、前記内部取り付けプレートに取り付けられていて前記エアバッグ組立体を前記ハウジングの前記開口部を横切って取り付けるよう構成された外部取り付けプレートを更に含む、請求項9記載のエアバッグシステム。
- 航空機の座席用のエアバッグシステムであって、前記エアバッグシステムは、
エアバッグ及び取り付け構造体を有するエアバッグ組立体を含み、前記取り付け構造体は、前記座席の前方に間隔を置いて位置すると共に前記座席から側方にオフセットした前記航空機の非可動部分に取り付けられるよう構成され、前記エアバッグは、前記座席に座っている人を保護するよう前記座席に向かって展開するよう構成され、
前記エアバッグと流体連通状態にあるインフレータを含み、
エアバッグ展開を開始させるよう前記インフレータに作動的に結合された衝突センサを有するエレクトロニクスモジュール組立体を含み、
前記エアバッグ組立体は、前記座席の周りに配置された第1のゾーン及び前記座席の前に或る距離を置いたところに配置された第2のゾーンを含み、前記エアバッグは、インフレーション時、前記第1のゾーン及び前記第2のゾーンに入ることはないことを特徴とするエアバッグシステム。 - キャビティを形成する複数の側壁を備えたハウジングを更に含み、前記側壁のうちの少なくとも1つは、開口部を有し、前記エアバッグ組立体は、前記キャビティ内に位置し且つ前記開口部と全体として整列している、請求項11記載のエアバッグシステム。
- 複数個の締結具を介して前記開口部を横切って取り付けられた扉を更に含み、前記締結具は、前記扉が前記開口部から遠ざかることができるようエアバッグインフレーション力を受けて前記扉を解除するよう構成されている、請求項12記載のエアバッグシステム。
- 前記扉と前記ハウジングとの間に設けられた可動カップリングを更に含み、前記カップリングは、エアバッグ展開中及びエアバッグ展開後、前記扉を前記ハウジングに取り付け保持するよう構成されている、請求項13記載のエアバッグシステム。
- 前記エアバッグは、前記エアバッグ内の圧力がしきい圧力に達したときに少なくとも部分的に開くよう構成されたベントを有する、請求項11記載のエアバッグシステム。
- 前記エアバッグは、第1の部分及び第2の部分を有し、前記第1の部分は、前記エアバッグがインフレートされているとき、前記座席に対して全体として垂直方向に延び、前記第2の部分は、前記エアバッグがインフレートされているとき、前記第1の部分に対して全体として側方に延び、前記第2の部分は、全体として三角形の断面形状を有する、請求項11記載のエアバッグシステム。
- 前記取り付け構造体は、
前記エアバッグ内に配置された内部取り付けプレートと、
前記エアバッグの外側に配置されると共に前記内部取り付けプレートに取り付けられた外部取り付けプレートとを有し、前記外部取り付けプレートの周辺部分は、前記航空機内の前記航空機の非可動部分に固定的に取り付けられるよう構成されている、請求項11記載のエアバッグシステム。 - 前記インフレータは、前記エアバッグから間隔を置いて配置され、前記エアバッグシステムは、前記インフレータを前記エアバッグに流体結合しているガス送り出しホースを更に含む、請求項11記載のエアバッグシステム。
- 前記エアバッグは、前記エアバッグ内の圧力がしきい圧力に達すると、開くよう構成されたベントを有し、
前記取り付け構造体は、前記エアバッグ内に位置する内部取り付けプレート及び前記エアバッグの外側に配置され且つ前記内部取り付けプレートに取り付けられた外部取り付けプレートを有し、

キャビティ及び開口部を備えたハウジングを更に含み、前記エアバッグ組立体は、全体として前記開口部と整列した状態で前記キャビティ内に位置すると共に前記外部取り付けプレートを用いて前記ハウジングの一部分に取り付けられて、前記ハウジングは、前記座席の前方で且つ前記座席からオフセットした状態で前記航空機の内側部分に固定的に取り付けられるよう構成され、
前記開口部を覆う扉を更に含み、前記扉は、エアバッグ展開の際に前記開口部から遠ざかって前記エアバッグを前記キャビティから放出するよう構成され、
エアバッグ展開の際、前記扉を前記ハウジングに解除可能に連結する少なくとも1本のランヤードを更に含み、前記少なくとも1本のランヤードは、エアバッグインフレーション中、前記ハウジングと実質的に面一をなす位置まで前記扉を開くよう構成されている、請求項12記載のエアバッグシステム。 - 前記インフレータは、前記ハウジングの近くで前記キャビティの外側に位置し、前記エアバッグシステムは、前記インフレータを前記エアバッグに流体結合しているガス送り出しホースを更に含む、請求項19記載のエアバッグシステム。

前記エアバッグ組立体は、前記座席の周りに配置された第1のゾーン及び前記座席の前に或る距離を置いたところに配置された第2のゾーンを含み、前記エアバッグは、インフレーション時、前記第1のゾーン及び前記第2のゾーンに入ることはないことを特徴とするエアバッグ組立体。 - エアバッグを航空機内の座席に向かって展開する方法であって、前記方法は、
前記航空機の衝突事故を検出するステップを含み、
前記エアバッグを前記検出された衝突事故に応答してインフレートさせるステップを含み、前記エアバッグは、ハウジングの一部分内に格納されると共に前記ハウジングに設けられた開口部と全体的として整列しており、前記エアバッグが格納されている前記ハウジングの前記一部分は、前記航空機座席の前方に且つ前記航空機座席から側方にオフセットしており、
エアバッグ組立体は、前記航空機座席の周りに配置された第1のゾーン及び前記航空機座席の前に或る距離を置いたところに配置された第2のゾーンを含み、
インフレーション時、前記エアバッグは、前記航空機座席に向かって突き出し、前記第1のゾーン及び前記第2のゾーンに入ることはなく、
