Abstract
【解決手段】走査線611と、データ線612と、画素と、を備えた発光表示装置であって、前記画素は、前記走査線の電位により導通が制御される第1のトランジスタ621と、前記第1のトランジスタを介して前記データ線から供給される画像信号を保持する保持容量623と、前記保持容量の電位により画素電極615と共通電極614との導通を制御する第2のトランジスタ622と、前記画素電極と対向電極616との間にある発光素子631と、を含み、前記第1のトランジスタ及び前記第2のトランジスタの少なくとも一つはpチャネル型トランジスタである。

Description
以下、本発明の好ましい実施の形態を、図面に基づいて説明する。
図1に示されるように、基板1上の中央部分が表示部とされている。透明基板1の外周部のうち、図面に向かって上側には、データ線112に対して画像信号を出力するデータ側駆動回路3が構成され、図面に向かって左側には、走査線111に対して走査信号を出力する走査側駆動回路4が構成されている。これらの駆動回路3、4ではN型の薄膜トランジスタとP型の薄膜トランジスタとによって相補型TFTが構成され、この相補型薄膜トランジスタは、シフトレスジスタ回路、レベルシフタ回路、アナログスイッチ回路などが構成されている。
図2は、本発明の実施例1に係る薄膜トランジスタを備えた有機EL表示素子の等価回路図、図3は、本発明の実施例1に係る薄膜トランジスタを備えた有機EL表示素子の駆動電圧図、図4は、本発明の実施例1に係るカレント薄膜トランジスタの電流電圧特性図、図5は、本発明の実施例1に係る有機EL表示素子の電流電圧特性図である。
さらに、本実施例では、表示状態にする画素に対する信号電位212は、対向電位216と比べて低電位である。
図7は、本発明の実施例2に係る薄膜トランジスタを備えた有機EL表示素子の等価回路図、図8は、本発明の実施例2に係る薄膜トランジスタを備えた有機EL表示素子の駆動電圧図、図9は、本発明の実施例2に係るカレント薄膜トランジスタの電流電圧特性図、図10は、本発明の実施例2に係る有機EL表示素子の電流電圧特性図である。
Claims (5)
- 走査線と、データ線と、画素と、を備えた発光表示装置であって、
前記画素は、
前記走査線の電位により導通が制御される第1のトランジスタと、
前記第1のトランジスタを介して前記データ線から供給される画像信号を保持する保持容量と、
前記保持容量の電位により画素電極と共通電極との導通を制御する第2のトランジスタと、
前記画素電極と対向電極との間にある発光素子と、を含み、
前記第1のトランジスタ及び前記第2のトランジスタの少なくとも一つはpチャネル型トランジスタであること、
を特徴とする発光表示装置。 - 走査線と、データ線と、画素と、を備えた発光表示装置であって、
前記画素は、
前記走査線の電位により導通が制御される第1のトランジスタと、
前記第1のトランジスタを介して前記データ線から供給される画像信号を保持する保持容量と、
前記保持容量の電位により画素電極と共通電極との導通を制御する第2のトランジスタと、
前記画素電極と対向電極との間にある発光素子と、を含み、
前記第2のトランジスタはpチャネル型トランジスタであること、

前記走査線の電位により導通が制御される第1のトランジスタと、
画素電極と対向電極との間にある発光素子と、
前記第1のトランジスタを介して前記データ線から供給される画像信号を保持する保持容量と、
前記画素電極と共通線との間に直列に挿入された第2のトランジスタと、を含み、
前記第1のトランジスタ及び前記第2のトランジスタの少なくとも一つはpチャネル型トランジスタであること、
を特徴とする発光表示装置。 - 走査線と、データ線と、画素と、を備えた発光表示装置であって、
前記画素は、
前記走査線の電位により導通が制御される第1のトランジスタと、
画素電極と対向電極との間にある発光素子と、
前記第1のトランジスタを介して前記データ線から供給される画像信号を保持する保持容量と、
前記画素電極と共通線との間に直列に挿入された第2のトランジスタと、を含み、
前記第2のトランジスタはpチャネル型トランジスタであること、
を特徴とする発光表示装置。 - 走査線と、データ線と、画素と、を備えた発光表示装置であって、
前記画素は、
前記走査線の電位により導通が制御される第1のトランジスタと、
前記第1のトランジスタを介して前記データ線から供給される画像信号を保持する保持容量と、
前記保持容量の電位により画素電極と共通電極との導通を制御する第2のトランジスタと、
前記画素電極と対向電極との間にある発光素子と、を含み、
前記第1のトランジスタ及び第2のトランジスタはそれぞれnチャネル型トランジスタ及びp型トランジスタであること、
