本発明は、プロピレンポリマーから調製されたフィルムに関する。このフィルムは、(A)約5〜約40のメルトフローレート、もしくは約6〜約32のメルトフローレート、もしくは約6〜約30のメルトフローレート、もしくは約8〜約25のメルトフローレートを有する、少なくとも1のプロピレンホモポリマー、プロピレンコポリマー、またはこれらの2以上の混合物から調製される。メルトフローレートは、ASTM試験D−1238によって決定する。1つの実施形態において、ポリマー(A)のメルトフローレートは、約8〜約26、または約10〜約22である。本明細書中および特許請求の範囲中で、範囲および比率の限度は、組み合され得る。
本明細書において記載されるように、フィルム組成物は(B)少なくとも1種類のオレフィンエラストマーを含む。オレフィンエラストマーは、プラストマー(plastomer)と呼ばれている。1つの実施形態において、オレフィンエラストマーは、約1〜約40g/10分、または約3〜約35g/10分、または約5〜約25g/10分のメルトフローインデックスを有する。メルトフローインデックスは、190℃において、ASTM試験 D−1238により決定される。1つの実施形態において、(B)についてのメルトフローインデックスは、約1〜約25g/10分、または約2〜約10g/10分の範囲内である。オレフィンエラストマーは、代表的には、フィルム中のポリマーの約2%〜約55%、または約10%〜約50%、または約15%〜45%の量で存在する。
コポリマー、約0.905gms/ccの密度(ASTM D−1505)および約4.5g/10分のメルトインデックス(ASTM D−1238)を有するEXACT3024;約0.900gms/ccの密度(ASTM D−1505)および約3.5g/10分のメルトインデックス(ASTM D−1238)を有するEXACT3027;約0.888gms/ccの密度(ASTM D−1505)および約2.2g/10分のメルトインデックス(ASTM D−1238)を有するEXACT4011;および約0.873gms/ccの密度(ASTM D−1505)および約4.2g/10分のメルトインデックス(ASTM D−1238)を有するEXACT4049;ならびに、約0.895gms/ccの密度(ASTM D−1505)および約3.5g/10分のメルトインデックス(ASTM D−1238)を有するEXACT4150のようなエチレン−へキセンコポリマーが挙げられる。有用なEXACTプラストマー(plastomer)の他の非制限的な例は、EXACT3017およびEXACT4053である。例えば、エチレン、ブテンおよびヘキセンのターポリマーもまた使用され得る。上記のEXACTシリーズのプラストマーの全てが、EXXON Chemical Coから利用可能である。
1つの実施形態において、フィルムは造核剤を含む。造核剤については前述した。造核剤は、本発明の多層フィルムの任意の層または全ての層に取りこまれ得る。上述のように、造核剤は、プロピレンポリマー(A)中に取りこまれ得るか、またはフィルムを作製するために使用される処方物中の別個の成分として取りこまれ得る。造核剤はまた、プロピレンポリマー(A)またはオレフィンポリマーエラストマー(B)に予め組み込まれ得、フィルム処方物の別個の成分として添加され得る。一般的に、本発明のフィルム処方物中に取りこまれる造核剤の総量は、ごく小さく、約500または1000〜約3000または5000ppmの範囲である。造核剤の量は、(A)または(B)に予め組み込まれている状態と別個の成分(C)として存在している状態との間で均等にまたは不均等に分配され得る。
本明細書に記載される場合、上記のフィルムは、単層フィルムとして単独で使用され得るか、または、多層フィルム構造物を作製するために他のフィルムと組み合せて使用され得る。多層構造物において、その構造物全体が、本発明のフィルムにより作製され得る。別の実施形態において、本発明のフィルムは、多層フィルム構造物の少なくとも1つの層を構成する。別の実施形態において、本発明のフィルムは、多層フィルム構造物の少なくとも1つの表面薄層を構成する。
Claims (18)
- 接着ラベルにおける使用のための接着物を含むラベルストックであって、該ラベルストックが、以下:
(a)上表面および下表面を有する機械加工方向延伸ポリマーフィルムであって、該ポリマーフィルムが、以下:
(a−1)少なくとも1つのプロピレンホモポリマー、プロピレンコポリマー、またはこれらの2以上の混合物であって、ここで、(a−1)が、ASTM D−1238によって決定した場合、5〜40のメルトフローレートを有し、(a−1)のプロピレンコポリマーが、プロピレン、ならびに40重量%までのエチレンおよび4〜8個の炭素原子を含むα−オレフィンから選択される少なくとも1つのα−オレフィンのポリマーを含む、プロピレンホモポリマー、プロピレンコポリマー、またはこれらの2以上の混合物、および
(a−2)エチレンおよび少なくとも1つのC 3 〜C 20 のα−オレフィンのコポリマーを含む少なくとも1つのオレフィンエラストマーであって、ここで、(a−2)のエチレンコポリマーが、5〜32モル%のα−オレフィン含有量を有し、該オレフィンエラストマーが、0.86〜0.91g/cm 3 の密度を有し、1.5〜2.4の重量平均分子量/数平均分子量の比を有する、オレフィンエラストマー、
を含み、ここで、該フィルムが、機械加工方向の引張弾性率の0.75倍未満である横方向の引張弾性率を有する、ポリマーフィルム;ならびに
(b)上表面および下表面を有する接着層であって、該接着層の該上表面は、該フィルム(a)の下表面に接着して結合している、接着層
を含む、ラベルストック。 - 前記プロピレンポリマー(a−1)が、プロピレンホモポリマーである、請求項1に記載のラベルストック。
- 前記プロピレンポリマー(a−1)が、プロピレンとエチレン、1−ブテン、1−ヘキセン、または1−オクテンとのポリマーを含むプロピレンコポリマーである、請求項1に記載のラベルストック。
- 前記プロピレンポリマー(a−1)が、0.2〜10重量%のエチレン含有量を有するプロピレン−エチレンコポリマーまたは15重量%までの1−ブテン含有量を有するプロピレン − 1−ブテンコポリマーである、請求項1に記載のラベルストック。
- 前記オレフィンエラストマー(a−2)が、エチレン−ブテンコポリマー、エチレン−オクテンコポリマー、エチレン−ヘキセンコポリマー、エチレン−プロピレン−ブテンターポリマー、エチレン−ヘキセン−ブテンターポリマー、またはこれらの2以上の混合物である、請求項1に記載のラベルストック。
- 前記オレフィンエラストマー(a−2)が、ASTM D−1238によって決定した場合、1〜40のメルトフローレートを有する、請求項1に記載のラベルストック。
- 前記フィルムが、ASTM D−1003によって決定した場合、10%以下のくもりを有する、請求項1に記載のラベルストック。
- 前記フィルムが、2:1〜9:1の延伸比率で機械加工方向に延伸することにより延伸されている、請求項1に記載のラベルストック。
- 前記フィルムが、25.4マイクロメートル(1ミル)〜177.8マイクロメートル(7ミル)の厚みを有する、請求項1に記載のラベルストック。
- 接着ラベルにおける使用のための接着物を含むラベルストックであって、該ラベルストックは、以下:
機械加工方向延伸多層フィルムであって、以下:
(a)上表面および下表面を有し、0.940g/cm 3 よりも高い密度を有するポリエチレン、プロピレンホモポリマー、プロピレンコポリマー、またはプロピレンホモポリマーと少なくとも1つのプロピレンコポリマーとの混合物を含む、基礎層;
(b)第1表面薄層であって、該第1表面薄層が、
(b−1)少なくとも1つのプロピレンホモポリマー、プロピレンコポリマー、またはこれらの2つ以上の混合物であって、ここで、(b−1)が、ASTM D−1238によって決定した場合、5〜40のメルトフローレートを有し、(b−1)のプロピレンコポリマーが、プロピレン、ならびに40重量%までのエチレンおよび4〜8個の炭素原子を含むα−オレフィンから選択される少なくとも1つのα−オレフィンのポリマーを含む、プロピレンホモポリマー、プロピレンコポリマー、またはこれらの2つ以上の混合物、および
(b−2)エチレンおよび少なくとも1つのC 3 〜C 20 のα−オレフィンのコポリマーを含む少なくとも1つのオレフィンエラストマーであって、ここで、(b−2)のエチレンコポリマーが、5〜32モル%のα−オレフィン含有量を有し、該オレフィンエラストマーが、0.86〜0.91g/cm 3 の密度を有し、1.5〜2.4の重量平均分子量/数平均分子量の比を有する、オレフィンエラストマー
から調製されている、第1表面薄層;ならびに
(c)上表面および下表面を有する接着層であって、該接着層の該上表面は、該基礎層の下表面に接着して結合している、接着層
を含み、
ここで、該基礎層の該上表面は、該第1表面薄層によって覆われ、該多層フィルムが、機械加工方向の引張弾性率の0.75倍未満である横方向の引張弾性率を有する、ラベルストック。 - 前記基礎層が、プロピレンホモポリマーまたはプロピレンコポリマーを含む、請求項10に記載のラベルストック。
- 前記基礎層もしくは前記第1表面薄層、またはその両方が、造核剤をもまた含む、請求項10に記載のラベルストック。
- 前記基礎層の下表面を覆う第2表面薄層を含む、請求項10に記載のラベルストック。
- 前記第2表面薄層の組成が、前記第1表面薄層の組成と異なる、請求項13に記載のラベルストック。
- 前記表面薄層の樹脂充填物が、プロピレンコポリマーおよびオレフィンエラストマーを含む、請求項13に記載のラベルストック。
- 請求項10〜15のいずれか一項に記載のラベルストックであって、前記第1表面薄層が、
40重量%〜98重量%のASTM D−1238によって決定した場合に6〜30のメルトフローレートを有する(b−1)少なくとも1つのプロピレン−エチレンコポリマーまたはプロピレン−ブチレンコポリマー、および
2重量%〜55重量%の(b−2)少なくとも1つのエチレン−ブチレンコポリマー、エチレン−ヘキセンコポリマー、エチレン−オクテンコポリマー、エチレン−ヘキセン−ブテンターポリマー、該コポリマーの2つ以上の混合物、または該コポリマーおよび該ターポリマーの1つ以上の混合物
から調製されている、ラベルストック。 - 前記接着層が、感圧接着層である、請求項1〜16のいずれか一項に記載のラベルストック。
- 請求項17に記載のラベルストックから型抜きされた、感圧接着ラベル。
