Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. エンジン本体; 前記エンジン本体内に形成された燃焼室; 将来の燃焼イベントの燃焼ヒストリをコントロールし、排出物質を減少させ、 効率を最適化する燃焼ヒストリ・コントロール手段であって、燃料および空気の 混合気の温度を変化させる温度コントロール手段、前記混合気の圧力を変化させ る圧力コントロール手段、前記混合気の当量比を変化させるための当量比コント ロール手段、および前記混合気の自己点火特性を変化させるための混合気自己点 火特性コントロール手段、のうち少なくとも1つの手段を含む燃焼ヒストリ・コ ントロール手段; 前記燃焼ヒストリを示すエンジン動作状態を検出し、前記エンジン動作状態を 示すエンジン動作状態信号を生成するエンジン動作状態検出手段;および、 前記エンジン動作状態信号を受け取り、前記エンジン動作状態信号に基づいて 燃焼ヒストリ値を決定し、該燃焼ヒストリ値に基づいて1ないし複数のコントロ ール信号を生成する処理手段であって、前記1ないし複数のコントロール信号は 、前記温度コントロール手段、前記圧力コントロール手段、前記当量比コントロ ール手段、および前記混合気自己点火特性コントロール手段のうちの少なくとも 1つの手段をコントロールし、前記将来の燃焼イベントの燃焼ヒストリを可変コ ントロールする処理手段; を備えることを特徴とする、予混合チャージ圧縮点火内燃エンジン。 2. 前記エンジン動作状態検出手段は、燃焼開始を検出し、燃焼開始信号を 生成する燃焼開始センサを含み、前記燃焼ヒストリ値は、前記燃焼開始信号に基 づいて決定されることを特徴とする、前記請求項1記載の予混合チャージ圧縮点 火内燃エンジン。 3. 前記エンジン動作状態検出手段は、シリンダ圧力センサであることを特 徴とする、前記請求項1記載の予混合チャージ圧縮点火内燃エンジン。 4. 前記燃焼開始センサは、シリンダ圧力センサであることを特徴とする、 前記請求項2記載の予混合チャージ圧縮点火内燃エンジン。
