Abstract
Un aparato para el tratamiento de apnea obstructiva del sueño que comprende: un generador (50) de flujo para crear un suministro de gas respirable a presión para su administración a un paciente para el tratamiento de la respiración alterada durante el sueño, y un humidificador (150) para humidificar el suministro de gas respirable a presión para su administración a un paciente, incluyendo dicho humidificador una base (803, 602) de humidificador que tiene una porción receptora de un tanque de agua, un tanque (698, 699, 700) de agua adaptado para su montaje en dicha base, un calentador (632, 800) para estar en comunicación de transferencia de calor con dicho tanque de agua una vía de flujo de gas que incluye una entrada de gas, una salida de gas humidificado y una vía intermedia de flujo de gas que pone en contacto el gas con el vapor de agua procedente de dicho tanque, en el que dicho tanque de agua tiene una entrada (801) de paso de gas que se comunica con dicha vía de flujo de gas y una salida de paso de gas, y caracterizado por que la base del humidificador comprende, además, una tapa articulada (648) y una junta (676) de la salida de gas asociada operativamente con dicha tapa, mediante la cual el cierre de dicha tapa crea una comunicación estanca entre dicha junta de la salida de gas humidificado y dicho tanque de agua, incluyendo dicho humidificador, además, una junta (722) de la entrada del paso de gas para la conexión estanca de dicha entrada del paso de gas con dicha vía de flujo de gas, en el que dicha conexión estanca es accionada por el montaje de dicho tanque de agua y el cierre articulado de dicha tapa, teniendo dicha tapa una porción de administración de aire adaptada para acoplarse con un conducto de administración de aire para que el suministro de gas respirable a presión pueda ser proporcionado a una interfaz de paciente.

Formadas en la carcasa inferior 61 por paredes que unen la pared exterior de la carcasa, se encuentran las partes inferiores, respectivamente, de una cavidad 65 de la fuente de alimentación y una primera cavidad silenciadora 134. Las partes superiores de estas cavidades están formadas por el chasis 64, descrito más abajo.
La primera cavidad silenciadora forma parte del trayecto de flujo de aire desde la entrada 85 de aire hasta el ventilador impelente, recibiendo aire de una vía de entrada de aire definida por el chasis 64, según se describe más abajo.
El chasis 64 forma la cavidad 70 del ventilador impelente o ventilador, trayectos de flujo de aire de entrada y salida y la parte superior de la cavidad 65 de la fuente de alimentación. La cavidad 70 del ventilador incluye un inserto de cubeta metálica 73 con envuelta moldeado dentro del chasis según se describe más abajo.
Chasis del generador de flujo El chasis 64 está formado con una pared periférica 69 dotada de pestañas alrededor de su borde inferior para acoplarse con la periferia interna de la pestaña sobremoldeada 63 de estanqueidad. El chasis 64 incluye una cavidad 70 del ventilador que se extiende hacia abajo en la que está montado el ventilador 90 descrito más abajo. Esta cavidad 70 está formada por paredes laterales 71 y una base 72 moldeadas, que se forman moldeando capas internas y externas de termoplástico alrededor de una cubeta 73 de acero con envuelta insertada. La cubeta puede ser de acero inoxidable, de acero suave chapado en níquel u otro metal adecuado resistente a la corrosión. La cavidad 70 del ventilador se abre a la superficie superior del chasis 64 para permitir la inserción del ventilador 90, cerrándose esta abertura por medio de una tapa 74.
La densidad y la rigidez de la cubeta de acero crean una barrera sumamente efectiva contra la transmisión del ruido del motor y del ventilador, mientras que la formación de la cavidad 70 mediante el moldeo del inserto a partir de materiales diferentes proporciona un aislamiento acústico muy efectivo, igual que la combinación por comoldeo de los plásticos duros y blandos ya descritos y descritos adicionalmente más abajo. En este aspecto, se ha hallado que el uso del comoldeo y el sobremoldeo en la combinación de materiales de rigidez diferente, preferiblemente muy diferente, y de densidad diferente, preferiblemente muy diferente, es particularmente ventajoso para proporcionar aislamiento acústico.
Materiales preferentes para el chasis y la cubeta con envuelta son el termoplástico de polipropileno para el chasis y el metal, preferiblemente acero (opcionalmente acero inoxidable), para la cubeta con envuelta. El solicitante ha hallado que, formando la cavidad del ventilador como un material compuesto de metal y polímero —que tienen un diferencial en densidad superior a 5 veces, preferiblemente de aproximadamente 7-8 veces, y también propiedades de rigidez e insonorización significativamente diferentes—, los picos de resonancia de la estructura de material compuesto están bien amortiguados para que el ruido generado por el ventilador sea debidamente suprimido por la construcción de la cavidad del ventilador.
Se prefiere especialmente que el polímero para el chasis 64 sea un polímero con carga de fibra de vidrio que contenga entre un 10-40%, y más preferiblemente aproximadamente un 30% de fibra de vidrio. El solicitante ha hallado que el uso de este material como material compuesto con una cubeta 73 de acero con envuelta produce tanto una amortiguación efectiva del ruido del ventilador como una buena correspondencia en las características de dilatación térmica, de modo que el chasis de material compuesto tenga un buen rendimiento en un amplio intervalo de temperaturas operativas. El solicitante ha hallado también que el uso de fibras de vidrio tuvo un mayor rendimiento que materiales de carga de talco, bronce y microesferas de vidrio con este fin.
La parte superior de la cavidad del ventilador está formada por la tapa 74 del chasis, que está formada de un inserto incrustado de acero sobremoldeado con elastómero para proporcionar aislamiento acústico y estanqueidad de la parte superior de la cavidad 70 del ventilador. Un recubrimiento polimérico preferente para la tapa es un elastómero, por ejemplo del mismo tipo usado para el recubrimiento 121 de la carcasa inferior.
De nuevo, el uso de un material compuesto de acero y polímero crea una barrera efectiva y bien amortiguada a la transmisión de ruido del ventilador y del motor.
Fuente de alimentación de inserción vertical directa
La parte superior de la cavidad 65 de la fuente de alimentación está formada por una pared lateral 75 que se extiende hacia abajo desde la cubierta del chasis 64, la cual se acopla de forma estanca con la pared opuesta de la porción inferior de esta cavidad. Preferente, para este fin, la pared inferior está dotada de una pestaña 76 de estanqueidad comoldeada y sobremoldeada. El compartimento de la fuente de alimentación está así sellado contra la entrada de humedad desde el interior de la unidad en caso de reflujo desde el humidificador. De manera similar, la vía de aire está aislada del compartimento de la fuente de alimentación. El interior está, a la vez, insonorizado acústicamente de la cavidad de la fuente de alimentación, la cual puede no estar completamente aislada del exterior, debido a la necesidad de proporcionar una entrada de alimentación eléctrica y una salida de baja tensión eléctrica al humidificador, a través de los conectores 77 y 79 montados en las aberturas 78 y 80, respectivamente en las
