Description
空気流発生器50は外側にLCDスクリーン58及びユーザがそれを用いて本ユニットの動作パラメータを設定することのできる関連するキー59も備えている。
空気流発生器50は2つのパーツである上部ケース60及び底部ケース61として成形された硬質プラスチック材料の外部ケースを有する。上部ケース60の下方端は段状であり、底部ケース61の周囲と結合するように62(図9)にフランジが付いている。
筐体64はオーバーモールドされた密封フランジ63の内側周囲部と係合するようにその下端周囲にフランジが取り付けられた周囲壁69と共に形成されている。筐体64は以下に示すようなファン90がその中に設けられた下方に延びるファン空洞70を含む。この空洞70は、挿入された鋼製ライナー槽73周囲に熱可塑性プラスチックの内部層及び外部層を成形することによって形成された、成形された側壁71及びベース72によって形成されている。この槽はステンレス鋼、ニッケルめっき軟鋼、又は他の適した耐食性金属であってよい。ファン空洞70はファン90を挿入できるように筐体64の上面に開放されており、この開口部は蓋74によって閉じられる。
電源空洞65の上部は筐体64の屋根から下方に延びる側壁75によって形成され、この側壁はこの空洞の下方部分の反対の壁を密封的に係合する。この下方の壁はこの目的のために共成形又はオーバーモールドされたゴム製封止フランジ76を備えていることが好ましい。この電源コンパートメントはこのようにして、加湿器からの逆流がある場合にはユニット内部からの湿気の進入に対して密封される。同じく、空気経路は電源コンパートメントから密封される。これと同時に内部は電源空洞から音響的に密封されるが、空洞の後壁及び前壁の開口部78及び80内にそれぞれ設けられたコネクタ77及び79を介して加湿器に主電力入力及び低電圧の電力出力を加湿器に提供する必要性があるために、及び必要に応じて冷却のためにコンパートメントの外気との通気のために、外部から完全に密封されなくてよい。これによって組立時間は短縮され、デバイス全体をより小さくすることが可能となる。
図8を参照すると、ファン90及びファンハウジング93、94が筐体のファン空洞70内に収まり、電源PCBの上部にある電気的コネクタ26と接続される。ファンハウジングのベース94をエラストマーでオーバーモールドすることによって、ハウジングが密封され、ファンハウジングベースの音響減衰が提供され、ユニットが衝突されるか又は落とされる場合にファンを防護するバンプストップとして働く脚がベースの底部上に形成される。
上部ケースの後部壁内には空気入口84も設けられており、これは電源空洞65の上部部分の屋根の上の筐体内に形成された空気入口通路85に通じており、次にこの通路は筐体のファン空洞の底部を囲繞する第1の消音器空洞134に向かって開放されている。
ここで、図12及び図13に示すファンのフィーチャを説明することが都合がよいであろう。
キーパッド59、計器盤127、及び運搬用ハンドル128は上部ケース60に取り付けられている。
図14〜21に示すように、加湿器150は空気流発生器50への取付け及び取外しが簡単になるように構成されたベースユニットを含んでおり、これは次に該ベースユニットに取付け可能かつそこから取外し可能である水容器用架台を形成する。
発生器のPCBは加湿器に近接する端部に、空気流発生器ケースの端面からの光の周期的な閃光を放出する光送信器200及び加湿器の有無を検出する光センサ201を備えている。加湿器の後面は、空気流発生器PCBが加湿器の存在を検出し、それに応じて制御アルゴリズムを調節するように、加湿器が空気流発生器に取り付けられるときに送信器からセンサまでの光路を完成する湾曲状反射器202を含んでいる。
ヒータパッドは下部パーツ806及び上部パーツ800ならびにヒータパッドカバー632を備える。
水容器は水槽698、シール699、及び水槽蓋700から構成される。
図17〜19は加湿器蓋648の下側及びU字形通路718及び加湿空気出口開口部716の周囲で水槽蓋700に密封を提供するシール676を示している。図18及び19に示すように、シール676は端部シール部分676a及び膜部分676bを含む。
加湿器は患者への空気供給湿度の調整を可能にする制御ノブを備える。湿度設定が高くなると、水容器の温度はヒータへの電力を大きくして加湿器を出ていく空気の湿度を上げることによって増大される。制御ノブは滑らかに可変する制御、すなわち一続きの離散した湿度設定を有してよく、電力がヒータパッドに供給されない「オフ」設定を有するであろう。湿度設定とヒータへの電力との相関はPCB804上の回路によって制御される。
図24は患者に特定の事象、例えばそれらのマスクを交換するとき、Data Card(それらのデバイスがData Cardを使用可能な場合)を挿入するとき等をアラートするように多数のリマインダを設定するためのリマインダメニューのフローチャートである。それは特別にカスタマイズされたリマインダを設定するのに使用することもできる。

- 加湿された呼吸可能なガスの供給物を患者に送出することによって閉塞性睡眠時無呼吸を治療するために、持続陽圧呼吸装置と空気送出導管とを相互接続するように適合されている加湿器であって、前記持続陽圧呼吸装置と前記空気送出導管との間に空気流路を形成するように適合されている前記加湿器において、
前記加湿器が、水槽有しており、
前記加湿器が、前記加湿器の蓋が開いている場合に、前記空気送出導管の接続を解除することなく水を再充填するために、前記水槽を取り外すことができるように構成及び配置されており、

- 前記密封フランジが、前記第2のシールの遠位端に設けられており、
前記密封フランジが、前記空気出口を囲んでいる前記シール面に当接している外端面を含んでいることを特徴とする請求項18に記載の呼吸可能なガスの供給装置。 - 前記第2のシールが、利用時に加圧ガスが流れる際に通過する開口部を含んでおり、
前記開口部が、利用時における加圧ガスの前記開口部を通じた流れに対して平行な長手軸線を規定しており、
前記第2のシールと前記水槽の前記空気出口の前記シール面とが、互いに当接しており、これにより前記長手軸線に対して垂直なシール面にシールが形成されていることを特徴とする請求項16〜19のいずれか一項に記載の呼吸可能なガスの供給装置。 - 前記シール面が、前記水槽の前記空気出口の前記シール面と一致していることを特徴とする請求項20に記載の呼吸可能なガスの供給装置。
- 前記第2のシールが、前記加湿器蓋の下側に位置決めされていることを特徴とする請求項16〜21のいずれか一項に記載の呼吸可能なガスの供給装置。
- 前記第1のシールが、前記水槽の前記空気入口を囲んでいる前記シール面に当接し、前記シール面を密封するために、コネクタ部分と周囲シールとを含んでいることを特徴とする請求項16〜22のいずれか一項に記載の呼吸可能なガスの供給装置。
- 前記加湿器蓋が、空気送出導管に接続するように構成されている出口パイプを含んでいることを特徴とする請求項16〜23のいずれか一項に記載の呼吸可能なガスの供給装置。
- 前記シール面それぞれが、平坦であることを特徴とする請求項20〜24のいずれか一項に記載の呼吸可能なガスの供給装置。
- 前記開口部それぞれが、リムを形成しており、
前記開口部それぞれを囲んでいる前記シール面が、前記リムから径方向外側に向かって位置決めされていることを特徴とする請求項16〜25のいずれか一項に記載の呼吸可能なガスの供給装置。 - 前記空気入口を有している前記水槽の前記壁が、前記外面の反対側に位置する内面と、リムを形成し、前記外面と前記内面とを接続するコネクタ部分とを含んでおり、
前記空気入口に関連する前記シール面が、前記壁の前記外面上に前記リムの径方向外側に向かって位置決めされており、
前記空気出口を有している前記水槽の前記壁が、前記外面の反対側に位置する内面と、リムを形成し、前記外面と前記内面とを接続するコネクタ部分とを含んでおり、
前記空気出口に関連する前記シール面が、前記壁の前記外面上に前記リムの径方向外側に向かって位置決めされていることを特徴とする請求項16〜25のいずれか一項に記載の呼吸可能なガスの供給装置。 - 加湿された呼吸可能なガスの供給物を患者に送出することによって閉塞性睡眠時無呼吸を治療するために、持続陽圧呼吸装置と空気送出導管とを相互接続するように適合されている加湿器であって、前記持続陽圧呼吸装置と前記空気送出導管との間に空気流路を形成するように適合されている前記加湿器において、
前記加湿器が、取り外し可能な水槽を有しており、
前記加湿器が、前記加湿器の蓋が開いている場合に、
前記空気送出導管の接続を解除することなく水を再充填するために、前記水槽を取り外すことができるように構成及び配置されており、
前記水槽が前記加湿器のベースに密封状態で当接している場合に、且つ、前記加湿器の前記蓋が前記水槽の出口を密封している場合に、前記水槽が前記空気流路と密封状態にあるように構成されていることを特徴とする加湿器。 - 前記加湿器の前記ベースと前記水槽の後方に面している表面とを密封するための後部シールと、前記加湿器の前記蓋と前記水槽の前記出口とを密封するための頂部シールとを備えていることを特徴とする請求項28に記載の加湿器。
- 前記後部シールが、前記加湿器の前記ベースに接続されており、
前記水槽が前記加湿器の前記ベース内に配置され、前記後部シールに当接するために移動した場合に、前記後部シールが、前記水槽の入口を当接するように適合されており、
前記頂部シールが、前記蓋に取り付けられており、
前記蓋が閉じた場合に、前記頂部シールが、前記水槽の前記出口を囲んでいる表面を密封するように適合されていることを特徴とする請求項29に記載の加湿器。 - 前記加湿器の前記蓋が、開位置と閉位置との間においてヒンジを中心として旋回するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項28〜30のいずれか一項に記載の加湿器。
- 呼吸障害を治療するための呼吸可能なガスの供給装置であって、
持続陽圧呼吸装置と、
前記持続陽圧呼吸装置と取り外し可能に接続されるように適合されている加湿器であって、
前記持続陽圧呼吸装置から呼吸可能なガスの供給物を受容するように適合されている空気入口ポートを有している加湿器ベースであって、ヒータ板を含んでいる水槽受容面を有している前記加湿器ベースと、
空気入口と空気出口とを有している水槽であって、熱伝導面を備えている底部を有している前記水槽と、
前記水槽が前記加湿器ベースの前記水槽受容面に配置可能とされる開位置と、前記水槽が前記加湿器ベースに固定され、前記水槽の前記熱伝導面が前記加湿器ベースの前記ヒータ板と一致するように配置されている閉位置と、の間において旋回動作可能な加湿器蓋と、
前記水槽の前記空気入口と前記加湿器ベースとを密封するための第1の手段と、
前記水槽の前記空気出口と前記加湿器蓋とを密封するための第2の手段と、
を備えている前記加湿器と、
を備えている前記呼吸可能なガスの供給装置において、
前記第1の手段が、前記水槽が前記水槽受容面上に載置された場合に、前記水槽の前記空気入口と前記加湿器ベースとの間の空気流路を密封するように適合されており、
前記第2の手段が、前記加湿器蓋が前記閉位置に移動した場合に、前記水槽の前記空気出口と前記加湿器蓋との間の空気流路を密封するように適合されていることを特徴とする呼吸可能なガスの供給装置。 - 前記第1の手段が、後部シールを含んでおり、
前記第2の手段が、頂部シールを含んでいることを特徴とする請求項32に記載の呼吸可能なガスの供給装置。 - 前記後部シールが、前記加湿器ベースに接続されており、
前記頂部シールが、前記加湿器蓋に取り付けられていることを特徴とする請求項33に記載の呼吸可能なガスの供給装置。 - 前記後部シールが、前記水槽の前記空気入口を囲んでいる平坦な入口面と共に密封状態を形成している平坦面を含んでおり、
前記頂部シールが、前記水槽の前記空気出口を囲んでいる出口面と共に密封状態を形成している平坦面を含んでいることを特徴とする請求項33又は34に記載の呼吸可能なガスの供給装置。 - 前記頂部シールが、前記水槽の前記空気出口を囲んでいる前記出口面と共に密封状態を形成する、内側に向いている密封フランジを含んでいることを特徴とする請求項33〜35のいずれか一項に記載の呼吸可能なガスの供給装置。
- 前記密封フランジが、前記頂部シールの遠位端に設けられており、
前記密封フランジが、前記空気出口を囲んでいる前記出口面に当接している外端面を含んでいることを特徴とする請求項36に記載の呼吸可能なガスの供給装置。 - 前記頂部シールが、利用時に加圧ガスが流れる際に通過する開口部を含んでおり、
前記開口部が、利用時における前記開口部を通じた加圧ガスの流れに対して平行な長手軸線を規定しており、
前記頂部シールと前記水槽の前記出口面とが、互いに当接しており、これにより前記長手軸線に対して垂直なシール面内において密封状態を形成していることを特徴とする請求項33〜37のいずれか一項に記載の呼吸可能なガスの供給装置。 - 前記シール面が、前記水槽の前記空気出口の前記出口面と一致していることを特徴とする請求項38に記載の呼吸可能なガスの供給装置。
- 前記第2の手段が、前記加湿器蓋の下側に位置決めされていることを特徴とする請求項32〜39のいずれか一項に記載の呼吸可能なガスの供給装置。
- 前記第1の手段が、前記水槽の前記空気入口を囲んでいる前記平坦な入口面に当接し、これにより該入口面を密封するために、コネクタ部分と周囲シールとを含んでいることを特徴とする請求項32〜40のいずれか一項に記載の呼吸可能なガスの供給装置。
- 前記加湿器蓋が、空気送出導管に接続するように構成されている出口パイプを含んでいることを特徴とする請求項32〜41のいずれか一項に記載の呼吸可能なガスの供給装置。
- 前記第1の手段が、利用時に加圧ガスが流れる際に通過する開口部を含んでおり、
前記開口部が、利用時における前記開口部を通じた加圧ガスの流れに対して平行な長手軸線を規定しており、
前記第1の手段と前記水槽の前記平坦な入口面とが、互いに当接しており、これにより前記長手軸線に対して垂直なシール面内において密封状態を形成していることを特徴とする請求項32〜42のいずれか一項に記載の呼吸可能なガスの供給装置。 - 前記シール面が、前記水槽の前記空気入口の前記平坦な入口面と一致していることを特徴とする請求項43に記載の呼吸可能なガスの供給装置。
