Definitions
- the present invention relates to a vehicle body rear structure in which a tailgate is rotatably supported at a rear portion of a vehicle body via a hinge member, and an opening portion of the vehicle body rear portion can be opened and closed by rotating the tailgate.
- a tailgate is provided at the rear of the vehicle body so as to be freely opened and closed via a hinge member, and the hinge member is covered with a cover member, as disclosed in Patent Document 1, for example.
- a cover member as disclosed in Patent Document 1, for example.
- an opening is provided at the rear of the vehicle body, and a tailgate is provided at the upper end of the opening so as to be freely opened and closed via a hinge member.
- the tailgate is disposed in the closed position and the opening is closed by the tailgate, and the tailgate is disposed in the open position and the opening is opened.
- the hinge member is covered with the cover member.
- the hinge member is hidden from view from the outside of the vehicle to ensure the appearance of the vehicle.
- Patent Document 1 is configured to cover the hinge member by separately preparing a cover member in order to ensure the appearance of the vehicle. For this reason, a dedicated cover member for covering the hinge member is required, and the number of parts is increased, which hinders the cost of the vehicle from being reduced.
- An object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle body rear structure that can ensure the appearance of a vehicle and reduce the number of parts.
- a rear outer panel provided at a rear portion of the vehicle body, and a tailgate that is rotatably supported by a hinge mounting portion of the rear outer panel via a hinge member

- the opaque portion is provided at the edge of the surface portion, and the housing extension is provided on the edge side.
- the strength of the housing extension can be further increased by integrally forming the reinforcing rib on the housing extension.
- strength of an opaque part can be ensured more suitably with a housing extension part and the rib for reinforcement.
- the housing opening is formed in the housing portion along the outer shape of the stay cover. Therefore, the housing opening of the housing part can be closed with the stay cover. Thereby, in a state where the tailgate is opened, the housing opening of the housing portion can be hardly seen from the outside of the vehicle, so that the appearance of the vehicle can be ensured.
- the stay cover was divided into a cover body and a cover cap, and a part of the housing opening could be opened with the cover cap removed from the cover body. Therefore, the opened part can be used as a finger hook. Therefore, the finger hook portion can be provided at a desired position near the stay without being affected by the stay. As a result, it is possible to apply a detaching force directed outward from the vehicle body to the lamp member by placing a finger on the finger hook portion. Therefore, the lamp member can be easily removed from the rear outer panel without taking time and workability when removing the lamp member can be improved.
- the lower end portion of the stay is covered with the cover body, and a through hole penetrating the lower end portion of the stay is formed in the upper portion of the cover body.
- a cover cap was detachably provided on the lower side of the cover body. Therefore, the cover cap can be detachably provided on the lower side of the cover main body on the opposite side of the stay.
- the finger hooking portion can be provided at a portion that is not restrained (obstructed) by the stay, so that the lamp member can be easily removed by placing the finger on the finger hooking portion without being restrained by the stay.
- a mounting base is provided at the peripheral mounting portion, and the lower end of the stay is connected to the mounting base.
- the mounting base can be provided on the opposite side of the cover cap. Therefore, the lamp member can be easily removed by placing a finger on the finger hanging portion without being restrained (obstructed) by the mounting base.
- the housing portion is provided with the contact portion, and the contact portion is provided in the housing portion from the housing opening.
- the cover cap can be brought into contact with the contact portion. Therefore, when the cover cap is attached to the cover body, the cover cap can be easily positioned at the attachment position by contacting the cover cap with the contact portion. Thereby, workability
- the housing portion is provided with a flange portion, and the flange portion is projected from the peripheral edge of the housing opening portion along the cover cap. Therefore, a flange part can be provided in a finger hook part. Therefore, the finger can be applied to the flange portion in a state where the finger is hooked on the finger hook portion.
- a removal force can be suitably applied to a lamp body member by hooking a finger on a finger hook part. As a result, workability when removing the lamp member can be further improved.
- the cover cap can be brought into contact with the contact portion and can be brought into contact with the rear outer panel.
- the first engaging portion is configured to detachably support the edge of the cap engaging portion on the side away from the rear outer panel to the cover body.
- the second engaging portion supports the edge of the cap engaging portion on the side away from the housing opening so as to be attached to and detached from the cover body.
- the cover cap can be detached from the cover body simply by engaging and disengaging the two portions of the first locking portion and the second locking portion. Thereby, the attaching / detaching operation of the cover cap can be easily performed. Workability at the time of removing the lamp member can be further improved.

- the door-side hinge portion 48 is supported by the support portion 47 from the opposite side of the inner edge portion 17a. Therefore, there is no possibility that the rotation of the door side hinge portion 48 is hindered by the inner edge portion 17a. Thereby, the rotation range of the door side hinge part 48 can be ensured suitably, and the tailgate 15 shown in FIG. 1 can be opened in a convenient state.
- a left rear combination lamp 17 is provided on the left side of the tailgate 15 in the vehicle width direction.
- the left rear combination lamp 17 is a lamp in which a brake lamp, a blinker lamp, a back lamp, a tail lamp, and the like are integrated.
- This left rear combination lamp 17 is provided on a rear outer panel (surface outside the vehicle body) 33 so as to cover the vehicle body side hinge portion 45 from the outside (outside) of the vehicle body. Therefore, the vehicle body side hinge portion 45 can be hidden by the left rear combination lamp 17.
- the vehicle body side hinge portion 45 can be hidden by the left rear combination lamp 17.
