Description
また、本発明のバリヤースタックによる封入前及び封入後において、(ガラス及び珪素で二次加工された)OLEDデバイスの性能も比較した。封入後、電流密度 対 電圧及び輝度 対 電流密度の特性は、初期状態の(封入されていない)デバイスの測定された挙動と同じであった(実験誤差内)。この事実は、バリヤースタック及び蒸着法がOLEDデバイス製造と両立できることを示している。
Claims (26)
- 基板;
該基板の上に配置された、ポリマー層とバリヤー層とポリマー層が順次積層されてなる第一バリヤースタック;
当該第一バリヤースタックに隣接している有機発光層スタック;及び
当該有機発光層スタックの上に配置された、アクリレート含有ポリマーを含むポリマー層とバリヤー層とアクリレート含有ポリマーを含む層が順次積層されてなる第二バリヤースタック、を含む封入された有機発光デバイス。 - 当該基板と当該第一バリヤースタックとの間に配置された少なくとも1つの第一中間バリヤースタックを更に含み、当該第一中間バリヤースタックが少なくとも1つのポリマー層と少なくとも1つのバリヤー層とを含む請求項1記載の封入された有機発光デバイス。
- 当該有機発光層スタックと第二バリヤースタックとの間に配置された少なくとも1つの第二中間バリヤースタックを更に含み、当該第二中間バリヤースタックが少なくとも1つのポリマー層と少なくとも1つのバリヤー層とを含む請求項1又は2記載の封入された有機発光デバイス。
- バリヤー層のうちの少なくとも1つが透明である請求項1〜3のいずれか1項記載の封入された有機発光デバイス。
- バリヤー層のうちの少なくとも1つが、酸化金属、窒化金属、炭化金属、オキシ窒化金属、及びそれらの組合せから選択される材料を含む請求項1〜4のいずれか1項記載の封入された有機発光デバイス。
- 当該酸化金属を、シリカ、アルミナ、チタニア、酸化インジウム、酸化錫、インジウム錫酸化物、及びそれらの組合せから選択する請求項5記載の封入された有機発光デバイス。
- 当該窒化金属を、窒化アルミニウム、窒化珪素、及びそれらの組合せから選択する請求項5記載の封入された有機発光デバイス。
- バリヤー層のうちの少なくとも1つを、不透明な金属、不透明なポリマー、及び不透明なセラミックから選択する請求項1〜4のいずれか1項記載の封入された有機発光デバイス。
- 当該基板が、ポリマー、金属、紙、織物、及びそれらの組合せから選択される軟質基板材料を含む、請求項1〜8のいずれか1項記載の封入された有機発光デバイス。
- 当該基板が、ガラス、金属、及び珪素から選択される硬質基板材料を含む請求項1〜8のいずれか1項記載の封入された有機発光デバイス。
- 第一バリヤースタック、第一中間バリヤースタック、及び第二中間バリヤースタックのポリマー層のうちの少なくとも1つが、アクリレート含有ポリマーを含む請求項1〜10のいずれか1項記載の封入された有機発光デバイス。
- 当該有機発光層スタックが、第一電極、エレクトロルミネッセント層、及び第二電極を含む請求項1〜11のいずれか1項記載の封入された有機発光デバイス。
- 当該エレクトロルミネッセント層が、正孔輸送層及び電子輸送層を含む請求項12記載の封入された有機発光デバイス。
- 以下の工程:すなわち、
基板を提供する工程;
当該基板の上に、ポリマー層とバリヤー層とポリマー層が順次積層されてなる第一バリヤースタックを形成する工程;
第一バリヤースタックの上に、有機発光層スタックを形成する工程;
該有機発光層スタックの上に、アクリレート含有ポリマーを含むポリマー層とバリヤー層とアクリレート含有ポリマーを含むポリマー層が順次積層されてなる第二バリヤースタックを形成する工程;
を含む封入された有機発光デバイスを製造する方法。 - 当該基板と当該第一バリヤースタックとの間に、少なくとも1つのポリマー層と少なくとも1つのバリヤー層とを含む少なくとも1つの第一中間バリヤースタックを配置する工程を更に含む請求項14記載の方法。
- 当該有機発光層スタックと第二バリヤースタックの間に、少なくとも1つのポリマー層と少なくとも1つのバリヤー層とを含む少なくとも1つの第二中間バリヤースタックを配置する工程を更に含む請求項14又は15記載の方法。
- 当該有機発光層スタックを形成する工程が、蒸着により行われる、請求項14〜16のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 第一バリヤースタック、第二バリヤースタック、第一中間バリヤースタック、及び第二中間バリヤースタックを、真空蒸着によって形成する、請求項14〜17のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- ポリマー層を、アクリレート含有のモノマー、オリゴマー又は樹脂の、真空下でのその場重合を伴う、フラッシュ蒸着、プラズマ蒸着、スパッター、化学蒸着、プラズマ補強化学蒸着、蒸発、昇華、電子サイクロトロン共鳴・プラズマ補強化学蒸着(ECR−PECVD)、及びそれらの組合せからなる群より選ばれる方法により形成する、請求項14〜18のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 当該基板を、封入された有機発光デバイスから除去する工程をさらに含む、請求項14〜19のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- バリヤー層のうちの少なくとも1つを、酸化金属、窒化金属、炭化金属、オキシ窒化金属、及びそれらの組合せから選択される材料から形成する、請求項14〜20のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 当該酸化金属を、シリカ、アルミナ、チタニア、酸化インジウム、酸化錫、インジウム錫酸化物、及びそれらの組合せから選択する請求項21記載の方法。
- 当該窒化金属を、窒化アルミニウム、窒化珪素、及びそれらの組合せから選択する請求項21記載の方法。
- バリヤー層のうちの少なくとも1つを、不透明な金属、不透明なポリマー、及び不透明なセラミックから形成する請求項14〜20のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 当該基板が、ポリマー、金属、紙、織物、及びそれらの組合せから選択される軟質基板材料である、請求項14〜24のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 当該基板が、ガラス、金属、及び珪素から選択される硬質基板材料である、請求項14〜24のいずれか1項記載の方法。
