Abstract

一种打印机的间隙调节机构,含有:一个用来将一张记录纸输送到压纸卷筒与打印头之间的送纸机构;一个间隙调节机构,用来在打印过程中将压纸卷筒与打印头之间的间隙调节成一个预定的打印间隙,而在换行过程中将该间隙调节成大于上述的预定间隙;一个测定从换行开始至换行结束的换行时间的机构;和一个用来根据换行时间校正间隙的校正机构。

Description

打印机的间隙调节机构
本发明涉及打印机的间隙调节机构,用于调节压纸卷筒与打印机的打印头之间的头部间隙。本发明的间隙调节机构可用于打印机及信息处理机例如印刷机、图像扫描仪或传真机中。
在普通打印机中进行换行操作时,为了保证送入的张纸有稳定的进纸通道,将打印头与压纸卷筒间的间隙量增大到一个预定值。但是,当处理在纸页之间的边界上具有穿孔的连续式纸张时,穿孔的地方便会从纸张的表面上凸起。在这种情况下进行换行时,穿孔会卡住打印头从而使换行的精度变差。
本发明的目的是解决现有技术的上述问题,提供一种打印机的打印间隙调节机构,采用这种调节机构,就可在换行操作过程中按照换行量来调整间隙量,从而达到较高的换行精度,即使在处理带有穿孔的纸张(例如连续式纸张)的情况下也如此。
为了实现本发明的上述目的,本发明提供一种打印机的间隙调节机构,它含有:一个将记录纸张送入压纸卷筒与打印头之间的传纸机构;一个用来调节压纸卷筒与打印头之间的间隙,使之在打印过程中等于一个预定的打印间隙值而在换行过程中则大于上述预定的打印间隙值的间隙调节机构;一个测定从换行开始至换行结束的换行时间的机构;和一个根据换行时间校正间隙量的校正机构。
当换行量大时,将间隙调到大的值,反之,当换行量小时,就将间隙调到小的值。因此,即使换行(换页)时碰到穿孔部分(例如连续式纸张),也可以具有足够大的间隙张开量,并保持高的打印质量。
下面通过附图及实施例详细说明本发明。
图1是打印机送纸机构的一个实施例的外形的侧视图;图2是一本存折的视图;图3(a)是表示在图1所示的送纸机构中进行换行操作的一个实施例的流程图;图3(b)是表示在送纸机构中进行的换行操作的普通实例的流程图。
图1简单地示出本发明的一个实施例的打印机的送纸机构。当要处理图2所示的银行存折时,要根据折叠部位通过送纸机构时其前面部分厚度与后面部分厚度之差对换行进行适量的校正。
在图1中,标号为131是打印头,标号为132是纸张检测传感器,标号为133是安装打印头131和纸张检测传感器132的托架,标号为134是托架可在它上面移动的导向轴,标号为135是一个偏心轴,而标号为136是脉冲马达。标号为141是插纸顶板,标号为142、143是送纸辊,标号为144是换行送纸马达,标号为145是压纸卷筒,而标号为146是叠卡器。
如图2所示,在记录介质存折打开时,折叠部位151的前面部分152的厚度t2通常与其后面部分153的厚度t1不同。在存折150的纸张中,前面部分152打印完之后才打印后面部分153。在折叠部位151正处于两行之间而进行换行时,由于前面部分152的厚度与后面部分153的厚度不同,必须对打印头131与压纸卷筒145之间的间隙进行适量的改动。在折叠部位151处于两行之间而进行换行时,由于前面部分152与后面部分153之间存在的高度差,便会使打印头131或色带导轮(图中未示出)承受载荷,或者使纸张在折叠部位处产生弯曲。因此,便不可能得到适当的换行量。
本实施例含有一个其中的马达136可根据纸张的厚度而转动,并可通过一个由马达136带动的偏心轴135自动地调整间隙量的机构。这种间隙量调整机构是众所周知的,并且在日本未审专利申请No.6-166238中已公开过,因此,对于这种机构,这里不作详细说明。
在本实施例中,对于根据存折150中纸张的前部与后部之间形成的高度差进行的换行量修正进行了说明。
首先,按箭头P的方向沿打印机的插纸顶板141的上表面插入存折150,然后使送纸马达144沿正方向转动,并由送纸辊142、143沿箭送P的正方向送进存折150的纸,而后,由位于打印头131旁边的纸张检测传感器132检测存折纸张的前端部分。当纸张检测传感器132检测到连续式纸张的后端部分时,换行送纸马达144停止转动,这样,就可识别存折纸张的长度L。
然后,使换行送纸马达144反转,这样,连续式纸张150就被抽出一个距离α 。此时,换行送纸马达144停止转动,并测出在存折150中纸张的后端153的厚度t1。
然后,使换行送纸马达144反转,使存折150的纸张再抽出L/2的距离,此时,换行送纸马达144停止转动,并测出存折150的纸张前端152的厚度t2。
然后,使换行送纸马达144继续反转,直到纸张检测传感器132检测到存折150的纸张的前端为止,而后,再使换行送纸马达144暂停转动。
然后,使换行送纸马达144正转,直到纸张检测传感器132检测到连续式纸张150的前部152的打印起始线,然后开始打印操作。
在打印操作和换行操作重复进行的情况下,对存折150的前部分152进行处理。当进行换行操作而折叠部分151处在两行之间时,便对换行操作加上一个下式的换行修正量,以便进行换行操作。
式中,x是在前、后部分形成的高度差为t0时的换行修正量,该x值根据存折纸张的类型和厚度凭经验确定。
换行操作完成后,便可对存折150纸张后部153进行处理。这样,就完成了打印操作。
图3(a)是本发明另一个实施例的打印机送纸机构的流程图。图3(b)是对应于上述流程图的普通实例的流程图。
当连续式纸张或切开式纸张由图1所示的打印机进行处理时,按照图3(b)所示的普通实例,换行的方式是,将打印头与压纸卷筒间形成的间隙扩大一定的量,以便形成一个足够的纸的通道而保证稳定地送纸,但是,当连续式纸张上形成的孔眼隆起部较大时,在换到下一页的第一行的换行操作过程中打印头会被上述隆起部绊住,从而使换行精度降低。
为了解决上述现有技术的问题,本实施例提高换行精度的方法如下。当换行量大时,例如,当换到下一页的第一行时,则增大打印头与压纸卷筒间的间隙量,而在平常的换行操作时,上述的间隙量则减小。当间隙的量是根据上述的换行量而改变时,即使在连续式纸张上穿孔部位凸起较大的情况下,也能保证纸张通道,从而提高换行精度。
如流程图3(a)所示,换行操作过程如下:
(1)接收来自主计算机的换行信息;
(2)执行换行操作时,根据换行执行时间计算换行时间,并在换行操作中调整换行马达;
(3)在换行操作过程中,根据(2)项中计算出的换行时间确定打印头与压纸卷筒间的间隙,然后启动带动凸轮(图1)的脉冲马达136。因此,托架133围绕导向轴134逆时针方向转动,并在打开状态下调整压纸卷筒145与打印头131之间的间隙。
(4)在完成间隙张开操作后,使脉冲马达反转以便开始间隙闭合操作,使间隙闭合一个与已张开的量相同的量。在换行操作中,也执行上述动作。
(5)当换行操作完成后,上述的间隙张开/闭合的动作也告完成。因此,打印头与压纸卷筒之间的间隙被调到与换行操作开始之前相同的状态。
当间隙按上述方法张开和闭合时,即使在穿孔处的隆起部位较大的连续纸张的情况下,也具有足够的纸张通道,从而可提高换行的精度。而且,在进行换行动作的同时,执行间隙张开/闭合操作,因此,可以在不降低送纸机构的性能的情况下提高换行精度。

1.一种打印机的间隙调节机构,含有:一个用来将一张记录纸输送到压纸卷筒与打印头之间的送纸机构;一个间隙调节机构,用来在打印过程中将压纸卷筒与打印头之间的间隙调节成一个预定的打印间隙,而在换行过程中将该间隙调节成大于上述的预定间隙;一个测定从换行开始至换行结束的换行时间的机构;和一个用来根据换行时间校正间隙的校正机构。
