Abstract
Description
イタコン酸エステル単位(イタコン酸構成単位とも呼ぶ)は、共重合性モノマーとの共重合が可能なエチレン性不飽和部位(ethylenic unsaturation)を含み、この場合に不飽和ポリエステルは希釈されていてもよい。本発明による不飽和ポリエステルは、少なくとも1種のポリオールと不飽和ジカルボン酸としてのイタコン酸またはイタコン酸無水物とを重縮合させて製造することができる。重縮合は、反応性不飽和部位を含む他のジカルボン酸(例えばマレイン酸または無水物およびフマル酸など)の存在下で、および/または飽和脂肪族ジカルボン酸または無水物(例えば、シュウ酸、コハク酸、アジピン酸、セバシン酸のようなもの)の存在下で、および/または芳香族飽和ジカルボン酸または無水物(例えば、フタル酸または無水物およびイソフタル酸のようなもの)の存在下で行わせることもできる。重合では、二官能性または多官能性のアルコールがさらに使用される。好ましくは、例えば、1,2−プロピレングリコール、エチレングリコール、ジエチレングリコール、トリエチレングリコール、1,3−プロピレングリコール、ジプロピレングリコール、トリプロピレングリコール、ネオペンチルグリコール、水素化ビスフェノールA、またはエトキシル化/プロポキシル化ビスフェノールAなどのジオールを使用する。
(ii)形成される不飽和ポリエステルの酸価が60未満になるまで、180〜200℃の温度まで反応器を加熱し、
(iii)形成された樹脂を、好ましくは20から120℃までの温度に冷却し、さらに
(iv)任意選択により、樹脂を反応性希釈剤で希釈する
ことによって製造する。
a.本発明による不飽和ポリエステルを含む粉体塗料組成物の成分を混合してプレミックスを得るステップと、
b.得られたプレミックスを、好ましくは押出機中で加熱して、押出物を得るステップと、
c.得られた押出物を冷却して固化した押出物を得るステップと、
d.得られた固化した押出物を小粒子に砕いて粉体塗料組成物を得るステップと
を含み、好ましくはそうして製造された粉末粒子をふるいで分級して90μm未満の粒径のふるい分級物を回収する更なるステップを含む、本発明による粉体塗料組成物の製造方法に関する。
1)本発明による粉体塗料組成物を、基材が部分的または完全に塗膜で被覆されるように基材に塗布するステップと、
2)得られた部分的または完全に被覆された基材を、その塗膜が少なくとも部分的に硬化されるような時間、またそのような温度まで加熱するステップと
を含む、基材を被覆するための方法に関する。
ジオール、二酸および/または無水物、任意選択の禁止剤、および触媒を、充填カラム、温度測定装置および不活性ガス注入口を備えた容器に充填した。混合物は、普通の方法でゆっくり加熱して200℃にした。混合物は、水の蒸留が終わるまで200℃に維持した。充填カラムを取り外し、酸価がある特定値に達するまで混合物を減圧状態に維持した。次いで、真空を不活性ガスで和らげ、混合物を冷やして130℃以下にした。固体のUP樹脂をこのようにして得た。次に固体の樹脂を80℃未満の温度で反応性希釈剤中に溶かした。
硬化は、標準的なゲル化時間装置(gel time equipment)によって監視した。これは、示されている過酸化物で樹脂を硬化させる場合に、ゲル化時間(TgelまたはT25−>35℃)およびピーク時間(TpeakまたはT25−>peak)の両方を、DIN 16945の方法に従って発熱量測定(exotherm measurements)によって求めたことを意味することを意図する。
機械的性質を測定するために、4mmの注型物を作った。16時間後に注型物を金型から取り出し、60℃で24時間、その後80℃で24時間保って後硬化させた。
732gのイタコン酸、471gの1,2−プロピレングリコールおよび100ppmの2−メチルヒドロキノンを用いて、標準的な合成手順によって樹脂を製造した。樹脂の合成は、表1に示した酸価に達するまで続行した。該当する場合、樹脂は、希釈した後(35重量%のスチレン)、0.5重量%のコバルト溶液(NL−49P)を用い、その後に過酸化物としての2重量%のTrigonox 44Bを用いて硬化させた。
(a)バーコル硬さが0であることから分かるように、注型物は軟らかすぎて役立たない。
(b)注型物は室温ですでに柔軟であった。これはHDT<25℃を示す。
イタコン酸および1,2−プロピレングリコールの量は別にして実施例1を繰り返して、表2に示す酸価およびヒドロキシル価を有する樹脂を得た。

- イタコン酸エステルを反応性不飽和部位として含む不飽和ポリエステル樹脂であって、前記樹脂の酸価が25〜125mgKOH/g(樹脂)の範囲内であり、ヒドロキシル末端基とカルボン酸末端基とのモル比が0.33〜3の範囲内である不飽和ポリエステル樹脂。
- 前記酸価が30〜100mgKOH/g(樹脂)の範囲内である、請求項1に記載の不飽和ポリエステル樹脂。
- 前記酸価が35〜75mgKOH/g(樹脂)の範囲内である、請求項1に記載の不飽和ポリエステル樹脂。

- 前記不飽和ポリエステルの不飽和ジカルボン酸構成単位の少なくとも25重量%がイタコン酸構成単位である、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の不飽和ポリエステル。
- 前記不飽和ポリエステル樹脂が、イソソルビドおよび/または1,3−プロパンジオール構成単位をさらに含む、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の不飽和ポリエステル樹脂。
- 請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の不飽和ポリエステルを含みかつ反応性希釈剤をさらに含む、樹脂組成物。
- 請求項11に記載の樹脂組成物を開始剤で硬化させて得られる、硬化された物体または構造部品。
- 前記開始剤が過酸化物を含む、請求項12に記載の硬化された物体または構造部品。
- 自動車部品、ボート、化学アンカー、屋根材、構造物、容器、取り替え用裏張り、パイプ、タンク、床材または風車の羽根における、請求項13に記載の硬化された物体または構造部品の使用。
- 請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載の不飽和ポリエステル樹脂を含む粉体塗料組成物。
