Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.放射エネルギーのフォーカスされたビームの制御装置において、 前記フォーカスされたビームを方向付ける光学的要素と、 前記光学的要素に対して動作し、前記フォーカスされたビームの焦点を所定位 置の方向へ変位させるアクチュエータと、 前記ビームからの光を受け取ると共に、前記所定位置からの前記ビームの焦点 の変位に応答する第1及び第2の出力を有するディテクタと、 前記ディテクタの前記出力に接続され、前記所定位置からの前記ビームの焦点 の変位を示すエラー信号を生成する回路と、 前記アクチュエータ及び前記エラー信号に接続されるサーボであって、前記ア クチュエータは前記サーボに応答して前記所定位置上に前記ビームの前記焦点を 変位させる前記サーボと、 前記ディテクタの前記出力に接続された局部帰還ループであって、前記ループ は、前記エラー信号に応答する第1の周期関数発生器と、及び前記エラー信号に 応答する第2の周期関数発生器とを備え、前記第2の周期関数発生器は前記第1 の周期関数発生器の出力とある位相角だけ異なる出力を有するループと、 前記ディテクタの前記第1の出力と、前記第1の周期関数発生器の前記出力と を乗算する第1の乗算器と、及び 前記ディテクタの前記第2の出力と、前記第2の周期関数発生器の前記出力と を乗算する第2の乗算器と、を備え、前記第1及び第2の乗算器の前記出力は前 記回路の入力として提供される装置。 2.前記周期関数は実質的に正弦状であり、前記第1の周期関数発生器及び前記 第2の周期関数発生器は正弦波発生器である請求項1 に記載の装置。 3.前記ディテクタの前記第1及び第2の出力は、前記ビームの前記変位に対し てほぼ相互に直角位相の関係を有し、前記ある位相角は約90度である請求項1 に記載の装置。 4.前記第1及び第2の検出信号は、前記ビームの前記変位に対してほぼ相互に 直角位相の関係を有する請求項1に記載の装置。 5.前記ある位相角は、約60度から約120度の範囲内である請求項4に記載 の装置。 6.前記ある位相角は約90度である請求項5に記載の装置。 7.放射エネルギーのビームをフォーカス制御する方法において、 前記ビームの焦点位置に応答して第1及び第2の検出信号を生成する工程と、 所定位置からの前記焦点の変位を示すエラー信号を生成する工程であって、前 記エラー信号は前記変位に対して周期的特性を有する工程と、 前記エラー信号に応答して、前記変位した焦点を前記所定位置に回復する工程 と、 前記エラー信号に応答して第1の周期的信号を生成する工程と、 前記エラー信号に応答して第2の周期的信号を生成する工程であって、前記第 2の周期的信号は前記第1の周期的信号とある位相角だけ異なる工程と、を有し 、前記エラー信号を生成する工程は、 前記第1の検出信号を前記第1の周期信号と乗算し、第1の積信 号を作る工程と、 前記第2の検出信号を前記第2の周期信号と乗算し、第2の積信号を作る工程 と、及び、 前記第1の積信号と前記第2の積信号との差を決定する工程と、を有する方法 。 8.前記第1及び第2の検出信号、並びに前記第1及び第2の周期的信号は実質 的に正弦状である請求項7に記載の方法。 9.前記ディテクタの前記第1及び第2の出力は、前記ビームの前記変位に対し てほぼ相互に直角位相の関係を有し、前記ある位相角は約90度である請求項7 に記載の方法。 10.前記ある位相角は、約60度から約120度の範囲内である請求項9に記 載の方法。 11.前記ある位相角は約90度である請求項10に記載の方法。
