特許請求されている発明は、大学・企業の共同研究契約の下記の当事者:University of Michigan、Princeton University、University of Southern California、及びUniversal Display Corporationの理事らの1又は複数によって、その利益になるように、且つ/又は関連して為されたものである。該契約は、特許請求されている発明が為された日付以前に発効したものであり、特許請求されている発明は、該契約の範囲内で行われる活動の結果として為されたものである。

電荷輸送層は、伝導性ドーパントでドープされ、電荷キャリアの密度を大きく変え、それによりその伝導性を変えることとなる。伝導性は、マトリックス材料中の電荷キャリアを生成することで、又はドーパントのタイプに応じて増加され、半導体のフェルミ準位における変化も達成することができる。正孔輸送層は、p型伝導性ドーパントでドープされることができ、n型伝導性ドーパントは、電子輸送層中に用いられる。本明細書において開示される材料と組み合わせて、OLED中に用いられることができる伝導性ドーパントの非制限的な例は、これらの材料を開示する文献と共に下記に例示される。

Claims (9)
- 下記のA3及びA4から選択される配位子LAを含むことを特徴とする化合物。
前記配位子LAは、金属Mに配位し、
前記金属Mは、Irであり、
破線は、金属Mに配位する結合を表し;
R1は、モノ、ジ、トリ、又はテトラ置換を表す、又は無置換を表し;
R2は、モノ又はジ置換を表す、又は無置換を表し;
Xは、O、S、Se、C=O、S=O、及びSO 2 からなる群から選択され;
R1、R2、R3、及びR 4 は、それぞれ独立して、水素、重水素、ハロゲン、アルキル、シクロアルキル、アリールアルキル、アルコキシ、アリールオキシ、アミノ、シリル、アルケニル、シクロアルケニル、アルキニル、アリール、ヘテロアリール、アシル、カルボキシル、ニトリル、イソニトリル、スルファニル、ホスフィノ、及びこれらの組合せからなる群から選択され;任意の2つの隣接する置換基は、結合して環を形成してもよく;
R3及びR4の少なくとも1つは、アルキル、シクロアルキル、部分的にフッ素化されたアルキル、部分的又は完全にフッ素化されたシクロアルキル、及びこれらの組合せからなる群から選択される化学基を含み;
前記配位子LAは、他の配位子と結合し、三座配位子、四座配位子、五座配位子、又は六座配位子を含んでいてもよく;
前記金属Mは、他の二座配位子に配位していてもよい。 - R 3 及びR 4 の少なくとも1つはR A1 〜R A41 、及びR A55 〜R A64 からなる群から選択される、又は、R 3 及びR 4 が結合して形成されるR A42 〜R A54 からなる群から選択される請求項1に記載の化合物。
- 前記配位子L A が、下記からなる群から選択される請求項1から2のいずれかに記載の化合物。
- 前記配位子L A が、下記で定義されるL A376 〜L A525 からなる群から選択される請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の化合物。
(式中、L A376 〜L A525 は、下記の式Vの構造に基づいており、
- 前記化合物が、(L A ) n Ir(L B ) 3−n で表され、L B が、二座配位子であり、nが、1、2、又は3であり;前記L B が、下記からなる群から選択される請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の化合物。
- 第1の有機発光デバイスを含む第1のデバイスであって、前記第1の有機発光デバイスは、
アノードと;
カソードと;
前記アノードと前記カソードとの間に配置され、請求項1から5のいずれかに記載の化合物を含む有機層と、を含むことを特徴とする第1のデバイス。 - 前記有機層がホストを更に含み、前記ホストが、カルバゾール、ジベンゾチオフェン、ジベンゾフラン、ジベンゾセレノフェン、アザカルバゾール、アザ−ジベンゾチオフェン、アザ−ジベンゾフラン、及びアザ−ジベンゾセレノフェンからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの化学基を含む請求項6に記載の第1のデバイス。
- 前記第1のデバイスが、1つ以上の消費者製品、電子部品モジュール、有機発光デバイス、及び照明パネルに組み込まれている請求項6から7のいずれかに記載の第1のデバイス。
- 請求項1から5のいずれかに記載の化合物を含むことを特徴とする組成物。
