Description
本実施の形態では、一対の電極間に挟持された発光層を含む発光素子について、図1を用いて説明する。
はじめに合成スキーム(A−1)を以下に示す。
以下では、一般式(G1)で表される有機化合物の別の合成方法について説明する。はじめに、Aのホウ素化合物を原料に用いる場合の、合成スキーム(B−1)を以下に示す。
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様の発光素子を適用した発光装置について図2を用いて説明する。なお、図2(A)は発光装置を示す上面図、図2(B)は図2(A)をA−B及びC−Dで切断した断面図である。
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様である発光素子を用いて作製される発光装置について、図4を用いて説明する。
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様である発光素子を適用して作製された発光装置について図5を用いて説明する。
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様である発光素子を適用して作製された照明装置について図6を用いて説明する。
本実施の形態においては、本発明の一態様の発光装置と組み合わせることができるタッチセンサ、及び表示モジュールについて、図7乃至図10を用いて説明する。
本実施の形態においては、電子機器の例について説明する。
2mDBTPDBQu−IIの合成スキームを(C−1)に示す。
1H NMR(CDCl3,300MHz):δ=7.48−7.51(m、2H)、7.61−7.89(m、9H)、8.16(d、J=8.4Hz、1H)、8.22−8.25(m、2H)、8.44(d、J=7.8Hz、1H)、8.60−8.72(m、3H)、8.79(s、1H)、8.97(d、J=8.7Hz、1H)、9.57−9.60(m、1H)。
まず、基板1100上に、珪素若しくは酸化珪素を含有した酸化インジウム−酸化スズ(ITO−SiO2、以下ITSOと略記する。)をスパッタリング法にて成膜し、第1の電極1101を形成した。なお、用いたターゲットの組成は、In2O3:SnO2:SiO2=85:10:5[重量%]とした。また、第1の電極1101の膜厚は、110nmとし、電極面積は2mm×2mmとした。ここで、第1の電極1101は、発光素子の陽極として機能する電極である。
発光素子1における発光層1113に対応する比較発光素子2における発光層1113を、4−[3−(トリフェニレン−2−イル)フェニル]ジベンゾチオフェン(略称:mDBTPTp−II)と、:PCBNBBと、[Ir(mppr−Me)2(dpm)とを共蒸着することで形成した。ここで、mDBTPTp−II、PCBNBB、及び[Ir(mppr−Me)2(dpm)]の重量比は、0.8:0.2:0.05(=mDBTPTp−II:PCBNBB:[Ir(mppr−Me)2(dpm)])となるように調節した。また、発光層1113の膜厚は40nmとした。
発光素子1における発光層1113に対応する比較発光素子3における発光層1113を、2mDBTPDBQu−IIと、4−フェニル−4’−(9−フェニル−9H−カルバゾール−3−イル)トリフェニルアミン(略称:PCBA1BP)と、トリス(2−フェニルピリジナト−N,C2’)イリジウム(III)(略称:[Ir(ppy)3])と、を共蒸着することで形成した。ここで、2mDBTPDBQu−II、PCBA1BP、及び[Ir(ppy)3]の重量比は、0.8:0.2:0.06(=2mDBTPDBQu−II:PCBA1BP:[Ir(ppy)3])となるように調節した。また、発光層1113の膜厚は30nmとした。
2mDBTBPDBQu−IIの合成スキームを(F−1)に示す。
1H NMR(CDCl3,300MHz):δ=7.43−7.51(m、2H)、7.60−7.85(m、12H)、8.13(d、J=8.7Hz、1H)、8.18−8.23(m、3H)、8.35(d、J=7.8Hz、1H)、8.59−8.71(m、4H)、8.94(d、J=8.7Hz、1H)、9.58(dd、J=1.5Hz、8.4Hz、1H)。

- 発光素子は一対の電極を有し、
前記一対の電極の間に発光層を有し、
前記発光層は、ホスト材料と、ゲスト材料とを有し、
前記ホスト材料は、有機化合物を有し、
前記有機化合物は、ジベンゾ[f,h]キノリン環と、アリーレン基と、正孔輸送性骨格と、を有し、
前記有機化合物は、前記ジベンゾ[f,h]キノリン環と、前記正孔輸送性骨格とが前記アリーレン基を介して結合することを特徴とする発光素子。 - 発光素子は、一対の電極を有し、
前記一対の電極の間に電子輸送層と、発光層と、正孔輸送層と、を有し、
前記発光層は、ホスト材料と、ゲスト材料とを有し、
前記ホスト材料は、有機化合物を有し、
前記有機化合物は、ジベンゾ[f,h]キノリン環と、アリーレン基と、正孔輸送性骨格と、を有し、
前記有機化合物は、前記ジベンゾ[f,h]キノリン環と、前記正孔輸送性骨格とが前記アリーレン基を介して結合することを特徴とする発光素子。 - 請求項1または請求項2において、
前記ゲスト材料は、燐光性化合物であることを特徴とする発光素子。 - 請求項1乃至3のいずれか一において、
前記ゲスト材料は、イリジウム錯体であることを特徴とする発光素子。 - 請求項1乃至4のいずれか一において、
前記正孔輸送性骨格が、π電子過剰型ヘテロ芳香環であることを特徴とする発光素子。 - 請求項1乃至5のいずれか一において、
前記アリーレン基が、フェニレン基、またはビフェニルジイル基であることを特徴とする発光素子。 - 請求項1乃至6のいずれか一において、
前記アリーレン基が、m−フェニレン基であることを特徴とする発光素子。 - 請求項1乃至7のいずれか一に記載の発光素子を用いた発光装置。
- 請求項8に記載の発光装置を用いた電子機器。
- 請求項8に記載の発光装置を用いた照明装置。
