第1ステップ(10)で、対象となるカートリッジの内容物に対応するコードを選択し、
第2ステップ(20)で、重複しないN個のセットの各々から、電気特性に関するM個の可能な値の各1つを選択し、
第3ステップ(30)で、N個の導体の規則的な配置と動作可能に結合するN個の電気部品の規則的な配置をカートリッジと関連付け、各部品が、それぞれ、選択された電気特性値の1つを具現化し、
第4ステップ(40)で、N個の導体の規則的な配置に対するN個の電気部品の特定配置規則を選択し、
電気特性の選択された値と、これらの値を具現化するN個の電気部品のN個の導体に対する前記選択された配置規則とが組み合わされて、前記選択されたコードが表わされる。
i.部品が星形又は多角形トポロジで配置すること、
ii.部品配置が実質的に導体配置の一方の端部に配置されること、
iii.電気特性がインピーダンスであること、
iv.使用される部品が、抵抗、コンデンサ、インダクタ、ダイオード又は選択された電気特性の特定の値を具現化するのに適した部品のうちの1つであること、
v.絶縁性の非多孔質層中で導体がコーティングされること、
vi.汚染物質を検出するための更なる導体が含まれること、
vii.部品及び導体が、接着剤若しくは他の固定手段を使用して、カートリッジと関連付けられること、或いは
viii.ラベルに部品と導体が実装されること、及びこの後者の場合、
ix.任意には、製造の更なるステップとして、ラベルが重なり合うことで、(適切に配設された)部品が保護されるように、ラベルをカートリッジに貼付して、部品及び導体をカートリッジと関連付けること
を含むが、これらに限定されない。
Claims (15)
- 医療用デバイスと係合可能なカートリッジであって、
各々がそれぞれ異なる電気特性の値を有するN個の電気部品の規則的な配置と、
前記N個の電気部品の規則的な配置と動作可能に結合するN個の導体の規則的な配置と
を備えるカートリッジ。 - 前記N個の部品の各々が、前記電気特性のM個の可能な値を1セットとする重複しないN個のセットのうちのそれぞれ1つから選択された前記電気特性の値を有している、請求項1に記載のカートリッジ。
- 前記N個の電気部品の規則的な配置内において、N個の電気部品がN個の導体の規則的な配置に対して規則的に配置されていることにより、情報が符号化されている、請求項2に記載のカートリッジ。
- 前記N個の部品の各々が第1電気接点と第2電気接点とを有しており、
前記N個の電気部品の各々の前記第1電気接点が共通接続部を共有しており、
前記N個の電気部品の各々の前記第2電気接点が、それぞれ前記N個の導体の1つに接続している、請求項1ないし3の何れか1項に記載のカートリッジ。 - 前記N個の部品の各々が第1電気接点と第2電気接点とを有しており、
前記N個の電気部品の各々の前記第1電気接点が、それぞれ前記N個の電気部品のうちの他の電気部品の第2電気接点に接続していることによりN個の結合部が形成されており、
前記N個の結合部の各々が、それぞれN個の導体の1つに接続している、請求項1ないし3の何れか1項に記載のカートリッジ。 - 前記電気特性がインピーダンスである、請求項1ないし5の何れか1項に記載のカートリッジ。
- 前記N個の電気部品の全てが、
i.抵抗、
ii.コンデンサ、
iii.インダクタ、および
iv.ダイオード
から成るリストから選択された1つである、請求項1ないし6の何れか1項に記載のカートリッジ。 - 前記N個の導体の規則的な配置とは別の導体であって、前記カートリッジ上のN個の電気部品の規則的な配置と電気的に結合しない更なる導体を備えている、請求項1ないし7の何れか1項に記載のカートリッジ。
- 前記導体と前記N個の電気部品の規則的な配置とが、前記カートリッジの外面に取り付けられている、請求項1ないし8の何れか1項に記載のカートリッジ。
- 前記導体と前記N個の電気部品の規則的な配置とがラベルに取り付けられており、
前記ラベルが前記カートリッジの外面に貼付されており、
前記ラベルが、前記カートリッジの周囲に延在しており、前記N個の電気部品の規則的な配置を被覆するように重なり合っている、請求項1ないし8の何れか1項に記載のカートリッジ。 - 少なくとも前記N個の導体上に適用される非伝導性保護層を備えている、請求項1ないし10の何れか1項に記載のカートリッジ。
- 医療用デバイスと係合可能なカートリッジに取り付けられるラベルであって、
各々がそれぞれ異なる電気特性の値を有するN個の電気部品の規則的な配置と、
前記N個の電気部品の規則的な配置と動作可能に結合するN個の導体の規則的な配置と
を備えるラベル。 - 前記カートリッジ上のN個の導体の各々について、前記カートリッジが前記医療用デバイスと係合するときに前記対応する導体と電気的に結合するように配置された少なくとも第1の接点と、
前記カートリッジ上のN個の電気部品の電気特性のそれぞれ異なる値を評価するように動作可能な評価手段であって、前記N個の電気部品が、前記カートリッジ上の前記N個の導体に動作可能に結合された規則的な配置を形成している評価手段と、
各接点対を前記評価手段に選択的に電気的に結合させるよう動作可能なスイッチング配置と
を備えている、請求項1ないし11の何れか1項に記載のカートリッジを受容するように構成された医療用デバイス。 - 前記スイッチング配置が、前記評価手段と現在電気的に結合された第1部品と電気的に並列である1部品を除く全部品を短絡するように動作可能である、請求項13に記載の医療用デバイス。
- 医療用デバイスと係合可能なカートリッジを製造する方法であって、
前記カートリッジの内容物に応じてコードを選択するステップ、
重複しないN個のセットの各々から、電気特性に関するM個の可能な値の1つを選択するステップ、
N個の導体の規則的な配置と動作可能に結合するN個の電気部品の規則的な配置をカートリッジと関連付けるステップであって、各部品が前記電気特性の前記選択された値の1つを具現化するステップ、ならびに
前記N個の導体の規則的な配置に対する前記N個の電気部品の特定の配置規則を選択するステップ
を含み、
前記選択された電気特性の値と、これらの値を具現化する前記N個の電気部品の前記N個の導体に対して前記選択された配置規則との組み合わせが、前記選択されたコードを表す方法。
