Description
DESCRIÇÃO "DISPOSITIVO DE INJECÇÃO"
TECNOLOGIA ANTECEDENTE A presente invenção refere-se a um dispositivo de injecção do tipo que recebe uma seringa, estende-a, descarrega o seu conteúdo e, depois, recolhe-a automaticamente. Dispositivos desta descrição geral são mostrados nos documentos WO 95/35126 e EP-A-0516473 e tendem a empregar uma mola de accionamento e alguma forma de mecanismo de libertação que liberta a seringa da influência da mola de accionamento uma vez que o seu conteúdo tenha, supostamente, sido descarregado, para permitir a sua recolha por uma mola de tracção.
Frequentemente, é necessário que tais dispositivos de injecção trabalhem com seringas hipodérmicas estanques que possuem, tipicamente, uma tampa ou "cobertura" hermeticamente vedada que cobre a agulha hipodérmica e mantém a esterilidade do conteúdo de seringa. Naturalmente, é necessário manter a esterilidade do conteúdo de seringa até ao ponto da administração, o que significa que, para dispositivos que são concebidos para serem descartáveis, a cobertura tem de ser removida com a seringa dentro do dispositivo de injecção.
Tipicamente, a acção necessária para remover a cobertura da seringa implica puxar a cobertura para fora da seringa ou rodar a cobertura e puxá-la para fora da seringa. Se uma seringa cheia 1 estiver muito tempo sem ser utilizada, é frequentemente difícil remover a cobertura da seringa; frequentemente, é necessária uma força substancial superior a 20 N.
Se os dispositivos de injecção são utilizados por doentes com artrite reumatóide ou doentes idosos ou fracos, é difícil para o doente remover a cobertura da seringa antes da sua utilização. Além disso, as coberturas são pequenas e delicadas para serem agarradas por todos os utilizadores, mas particularmente por utilizadores que possuem uma débil flexibilidade nas suas articulações ou uma destreza manual limitada. Visto que a cobertura da seringa pode ser posicionada dentro do corpo também pode existir um acesso limitado à cobertura. A patente US N° 5957897 divulga um dispositivo oco de aplicação de agulha para fármacos em cartuchos com uma disposição para recolha automática de agulha após expressão de conteúdo de cartucho. O preâmbulo da reivindicação 1 baseia-se neste documento. A patente US N° 6447480 divulga um dispositivo de injecção em que a tampa protectora possui um perfil complementar com uma secção intermédia em forma de um excêntrico.
SUMÁRIO DA INVENÇÃO
Os dispositivos de injecção da presente invenção são concebidos para lidarem com estes problemas.
Um dispositivo de injecção de acordo com a presente invenção compreende: 2 um corpo adaptado para receber uma seringa possuindo um ponta de descarga e uma cobertura gue cobre a sua ponta de descarga, definindo o corpo um primeiro eixo e possuindo uma primeira e segunda extremidades, em que a ponta de descarga pode estender-se desde a primeira extremidade do corpo através de uma abertura de saída, possuindo ainda o corpo, uma superfície excêntrica na sua primeira extremidade; e um elemento de fecho de corpo possuindo uma superfície excêntrica para comunicação com a superfície excêntrica no corpo, de modo a que uma rotação do elemento de fecho de corpo em torno do eixo obrigue o elemento de fecho de corpo a deslocar-se axialmente para fora do corpo; compreendendo ainda o elemento de fecho de corpo um meio para ligação à cobertura da seringa de modo a que a remoção do elemento de fecho de corpo do corpo provoque a remoção da cobertura da seringa.
As superfícies excêntricas no corpo e no meio de fecho de corpo podem compreender correspondentes superfícies curvas. 0 elemento de fecho de corpo pode compreender ainda uma caracterí stica de pega externa com a qual um utilizador pode agarrar o elemento de fecho de corpo.
Ou o elemento de fecho de corpo ou o corpo podem ainda compreender uma estria com a qual uma correspondente indentação no outro do elemento de fecho de corpo ou do corpo pode comunicar de modo a reter o elemento de fecho de corpo no corpo. 3 0 meio para ligação pode compreender uma anilha de preensão comprimida com um diâmetro interno recortado. Em utilização, uma cobertura seria inserida na parte central da anilha de preensão e o diâmetro interno recortado iria deformar-se ligeiramente para envolver a cobertura. Em particular, a anilha de preensão pode ser dobrada numa forma tronco-cónica. Contudo, quando a tampa é removida, a anilha de preensão firma-se na cobertura e impede-a de ser removida da tampa. 0 diâmetro interno da anilha de preensão pode ser castelado. Em alternativa, a anilha de preensão pode compreender uma anilha internamente dentada em estrela ou anilha dentada anti-vibração. 0 meio para ligação pode ser formado de metal. 0 meio para ligação pode ser mantido numa indentação moldada no meio de fecho de corpo. 0 meio para ligação pode estar alojado numa saliência central moldada no interior do meio de fecho de corpo. 0 meio para ligação pode ser mantido no lugar, no meio de fecho de corpo, por uma indentação moldada na saliência central.
Em alternativa, o meio para ligação pode ser moldado a partir do mesmo material que o meio de fecho de corpo, como parte de uma saliência central moldada no interior do meio de fecho de corpo. 0 meio para ligação pode compreender uma saliência central possuindo uma extremidade oca, em que um rebordo da extremidade oca é biselado no seu bordo de ataque, mas não no seu bordo de 4 fuga. Em utilização, a cobertura iria passar sobre o bordo biselado à medida que fosse inserida no meio de fecho de corpo. Contudo, quando o meio de fecho de corpo é removido, o bordo de fuga firma-se na cobertura e impede-a de ser removida do meio de fecho de corpo. 0 meio de fecho de corpo pode compreender ainda uma superfície de suporte para suportar uma extremidade de uma cobertura de uma seringa.
BREVE DESCRIÇÃO DOS DESENHOS A invenção será, de seguida, descrita a título exemplificativo fazendo referência aos desenhos anexos, nos quais: A Figura 1 mostra uma vista em perspectiva de um dispositivo de injecção de acordo com a presente invenção com o elemento de fecho de corpo removido e a agulha numa posição estendida; A Figura 2 mostra uma vista em planta do dispositivo de injecção da figura 1; A Figura 3 mostra uma vista lateral do dispositivo de injecção da figura 1; A Figura 4 mostra uma vista em perspectiva do dispositivo de injecção das figuras 1 a 3, com o elemento de fecho de corpo no lugar; 5 A Figura 5 mostra uma vista em planta do dispositivo de injecção da figura 4; A Figura 6 mostra uma vista em perspectiva de uma anilha de preensão castelada para utilização num dispositivo de injecção de acordo com uma forma de realização da presente invenção; A Figura 7 mostra um elemento de fecho de corpo para utilização num dispositivo de injecção de acordo com uma forma de realização da presente invenção; A Figura 8 mostra a tampa da figura 7 quando engatada numa cobertura de seringa de uma seringa utilizada com um dispositivo de injecção de acordo com uma forma de realização da presente invenção; e A Figura 9 mostra uma vista em corte de parte de um dispositivo de injecção de acordo com uma forma de realização da presente invenção.
DESCRIÇÃO DETALHADA
As Figuras 1 a 5 e 9 mostram um dispositivo 110 de injecção de acordo com uma primeira forma de realização da presente invenção. O dispositivo de injecção possui um corpo 112 de dispositivo de injecção. O corpo 112 contém uma seringa 114 hipodérmica do tipo convencional, incluindo um corpo 116 de seringa definindo um reservatório e terminando, numa extremidade, numa agulha 118 6 hipodérmica. A seringa 114 possui uma tampa ou "cobertura" hermeticamente vedada que cobre a agulha 118 hipodérmica e mantém a esterilidade do conteúdo de seringa. A cobertura é, geralmente, formada de uma borracha macia de material plástico. Embora a seringa ilustrada seja do tipo hipodérmica, pode não ser necessariamente assim. Também podem ser utilizadas seringas transcutâneas ou dérmicas e subcutâneas balísticas com o dispositivo de injecção da presente invenção. 0 dispositivo de injecção está ainda dotado com uma tampa 130. Como melhor se vê a partir das figuras 1 a 3 e 7, a tampa está retida no corpo 112 por uma estria 113 no corpo 112, e uma correspondente indentação 131 no interior da tampa 130.
Próximo da extremidade do corpo 112, a partir da qual a agulha hipodérmica se pode estender, proporciona-se uma superfície 150 excêntrica curva que corresponde a outra superfície 152 excêntrica curva na tampa 130.
Como se pode ver a partir das figuras 7 e 8, o interior da tampa 130 está dotado com uma anilha 160 de preensão castelada. Esta anilha 160 de preensão é mostrada na figura 6. A anilha 160 de preensão é mantida no lugar, na tampa 130, por uma correspondente indentação 162 que está moldada no interior da tampa 130. O exterior da tampa 130 está dotado com um par de superfícies 170 de preensão. Estas superfícies 170 de preensão proporcionam uma superfície através da qual o utilizador pode agarrar a tampa 130. 7
Como se pode ver a partir da figura 9, o interior da tampa 130 pode estar dotado com uma superfície 180 de suporte que suporta a extremidade da cobertura 120.
Durante o fabrico do dispositivo 110 de injecção, a seringa 114 e a cobertura 120 são inseridas no corpo como uma peça única. A tampa é colocada sobre o corpo, de tal modo que a cobertura 120 é forçada para o centro da anilha 160 castelada e a estria 113 no corpo engata-se na indentação 131 na tampa 130. Além disso, as duas superfícies 150 excêntricas são alinhadas. Forçando a cobertura 120 para dentro da anilha 160 castelada, as castelações deformam-se de modo a que a anilha assuma uma forma ligeiramente tronco-cónica. O metal do qual a anilha 160 é formada penetra nos plásticos mais macios ou material de borracha dos quais a cobertura 120 é formada. Consequentemente, é produzida uma aderência muito firme na cobertura 120.
Quando se pretende utilizar o dispositivo 110 de injecção, o utilizador segura o corpo com uma mão e agarra a tampa 130 com a outra mão utilizando as superfícies 170 de preensão. Depois, o utilizador roda a tampa 130. Na rotação da tampa 130, as duas superfícies 150, 152 excêntricas deslocam-se uma sobre a outra e a tampa 130 é deslocada axialmente para fora do corpo 112. Este movimento rotacional e axial também roda e puxa a cobertura 120 para fora da seringa 114. A cobertura 120 mantém-se estacionária no interior da tampa 130 pela anilha 160 castelada porque a força necessária para rodar a cobertura 120 e removê-la da seringa 114 é significativamente menor do que a necessária para puxar a cobertura 120 para fora do centro da anilha 160 castelada. A superfície 180 de suporte ajuda a impedir que a cobertura 120 seja puxada para fora da seringa 114 com um ângulo, mantendo o alinhamento axial da cobertura 120 no 8 interior da tampa 130. A presente invenção proporciona um modo simples e eficaz de resolver os problemas dos dispositivos de técnica anterior. Visto não ser necessário fazer modificações à seringa ou cobertura, pode utilizar-se uma seringa padrão e os custos de produção podem ser reduzidos. Além disso, as tolerâncias com as quais a seringa e cobertura são posicionadas dentro do corpo não são críticas, uma vez que assim que a cobertura tenha sido inserida na anilha castelada, não pode ser removida. Não importa quanto da cobertura se estende através da anilha, desde que a anilha prenda suficientemente a cobertura. Visto que a profundidade de inserção e o tamanho exacto da seringa e cobertura podem ser sujeitos a variação, isto é uma vantagem significativa.
Além disso, o número de passos operacionais necessários para utilizar o dispositivo é minimizado, visto não ser necessário realizar dois passos separados para remover a tampa e a cobertura.

Claims (15)
- REIVINDICAÇÕES 1. Dispositivo (110) de injecção compreendendo: um corpo (112) adaptado para receber uma seringa (114) possuindo uma ponta (118) de descarga e uma cobertura (120) que cobre a sua ponta de descarga, definindo o corpo um primeiro eixo e possuindo uma primeira e segunda extremidades, em que a ponta de descarga é capaz de se estender desde a primeira extremidade do corpo através de uma abertura de saida, possuindo ainda o corpo, uma superfície (150) excêntrica na sua primeira extremidade; e caracterizado por: um elemento (130) de fecho de corpo possuir uma superfície (152) excêntrica para comunicação com a superfície excêntrica no corpo, de modo a que uma rotação do elemento de fecho de corpo em torno do eixo obrigue o elemento de fecho de corpo a deslocar-se axialmente para fora do corpo, em que o elemento de fecho de corpo compreende ainda um meio (160) para ligação à cobertura da seringa de modo a que a remoção do elemento de fecho de corpo, do corpo, provoque a remoção da cobertura a partir da seringa.
- 2. Dispositivo de injecção, de acordo com a reivindicação 1, em que as superfícies excêntricas no corpo e no meio de fecho de corpo compreendem correspondentes superfícies curvas. 1
- 3. Dispositivo de injecção, de acordo com a reivindicação 1 ou reivindicação 2, compreendendo ainda uma caracteristica (170) de pega externa com a qual um utilizador pode agarrar o elemento de fecho de corpo.
- 4. Dispositivo de injecção, de acordo com qualquer reivindicação anterior, em que, ou o elemento de fecho de corpo ou o corpo, compreende ainda uma estria (113) com a qual uma correspondente indentação (131) no outro do elemento de fecho de corpo ou do corpo pode comunicar de modo a reter o elemento de fecho de corpo no corpo.
- 5. Dispositivo de injecção, de acordo com qualquer reivindicação anterior, em que o meio para ligação compreende uma anilha (160) de preensão comprimida com um diâmetro interno recortado.
- 6. Dispositivo de injecção, de acordo com a reivindicação 5, em que o diâmetro interno da anilha de preensão é castelado.
- 7. Dispositivo de injecção, de acordo com a reivindicação 5, em que a anilha de preensão compreende uma anilha internamente dentada em estrela ou anilha dentada anti-vibração.
- 8. Dispositivo de injecção, de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações 5 a 7, em que, após ligação da cobertura da seringa ao elemento de fecho de corpo, a anilha de preensão é dobrada numa forma tronco-cónica. 2
- 9. Dispositivo de injecção, de acordo com qualquer reivindicação anterior, em que o meio para ligação é formado de metal.
- 10. Dispositivo de injecção, de acordo com qualquer reivindicação anterior, em que o meio para ligação é mantido numa indentação moldada no meio de fecho de corpo.
- 11. Dispositivo de injecção, de acordo com qualquer reivindicação anterior, em que o meio para ligação está alojado num saliência central moldada no interior do meio de fecho de corpo.
- 12. Dispositivo de injecção, de acordo com a reivindicação 11, no qual o meio para ligação é mantido no lugar no meio de fecho de corpo por uma indentação (162) moldada na saliência central.
- 13. Dispositivo de injecção, de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações 1 a 4, em que o meio para ligação é moldado a partir do mesmo material que o meio de fecho de corpo, como parte de uma saliência central moldada no interior do meio de fecho de corpo.
- 14. Dispositivo de injecção, de acordo com a reivindicação 13, em que o meio para ligação compreende uma saliência central possuindo uma extremidade oca, em que um rebordo da extremidade oca está biselado no seu bordo de ataque, mas não no seu bordo de fuga.
