Claims (8)

  1. バルブ・タイミングが調整可能な多気筒内燃機関の少なくとも一つの気筒の排出量を低減する方法であって、
    上記内燃機関を停止する要求に応答して、少なくとも一つの気筒の開弁位置を調整する工程、
    上記要求に応答して、上記気筒への燃料供給を停止する工程、及び
    上記開弁位置の調整及び燃料供給の停止後、上記少なくとも一つの気筒の少なくとも一回の吸気行程の間、上記少なくとも一つの気筒を作動する工程を有する方法。
  2. 上記開弁位置は吸気開弁位置であって、該吸気開弁位置が、上記気筒の吸気行程の上死点後30〜180クランク角度である、請求項1の方法。
  3. 上記要求に応答して点火時期を調整する工程をさらに有する、請求項1又は2の方法。
  4. 上記点火時期の調整が、クランクシャフト位置に対して点火時期を遅角する、請求項3の方法。
  5. 上記内燃機関を停止する上記要求に応答して上記気筒に供給される燃料量を調整する工程をさらに有する、前記請求項1乃至4のうち何れか1項に記載の方法。
  6. 上記気筒の少なくとも一つの排気弁のタイミングを調整する工程をさらに有する、前記請求項1乃至5のうち何れか1項に記載の方法。
  7. バルブ・タイミングが調整可能な多気筒内燃機関の少なくとも一つの気筒の排出量を低減する方法であって、
    上記内燃機関を停止する要求に応答して、少なくとも一つの気筒の開弁位置を遅角させる工程、
    上記遅角された開弁位置に基づき、上記少なくとも一つの気筒の閉弁位置を遅角させる工程、及び
    上記開弁位置及び閉弁位置の調整後、上記少なくとも一つの気筒の少なくとも一回の吸気行程の間、上記少なくとも一つの気筒を作動する工程を有する方法。
  8. バルブ・タイミングが調整可能な多気筒内燃機関の少なくとも一つの気筒の排出量を低減する方法であって、
    上記内燃機関を停止する要求に応答して、少なくとも一つの気筒の開弁位置を調整する工程、
    上記開弁位置の調整後、上記少なくとも一つの気筒の少なくとも一回の吸気行程の間、上記少なくとも一つの気筒を作動する工程、及び
    燃料供給のタイミングが、上記少なくとも一つの気筒の開弁と同時になるように調整する工程を有する方法。
