背景技术
本文中描述的实施例涉及方向盘组件,并且更具体地涉及一种固定式(stationary)方向盘组件,以及与控制该固定式方向盘组件相关联的方法。
随着自动驾驶车辆的发展,将衍生出关于针对驾驶员的舒适度、娱乐和功能的大量机会。由于在车辆的操作期间需要驾驶员操纵方向盘,因此方向盘通常限制于标准驾驶位置。在车辆的自动驾驶模式期间,这些限制就可以不是必要的。
发明内容
根据本公开的一个方面,固定式方向盘组件包括连接到轴向延伸柱的方向盘。该组件还包括能够与方向盘接合并且能够在第一位置和第二位置之间运动的方向盘锁定部件,所述第一位置锁定方向盘以防止方向盘转动,所述第二位置解锁方向盘以允许方向盘转动。

根据本公开的又一个方面,提供一种控制自动车辆的固定式方向盘组件的方法。所述方法包括在标准驾驶模式中,使方向盘锁定部件从方向盘分离,以允许方向盘的转动。所述方法还包括在标准驾驶模式中,使转向轴锁定部件与转向轴接合,以防止转向轴的平移,并允许当方向盘转动时转向轴转动。

具体实施方式
参考附图,将参考具体实施例描述本发明,但本发明不限制于具体实施例,图1图示固定式方向盘组件10。该固定式方向盘组件10促进方向盘12和转向轴14以可收缩方式运动。该固定式方向盘组件10还促进方向盘12从转向轴14分离,以将方向盘12维持在固定(即,非转动)状态中。在维持车辆的道路车轮与方向盘12之间的机械链接的同时提供这些特征。这在装备有(多种)高级驾驶员辅助系统(以允许利用感测、转向和/或制动技术自动地控制车辆)的乘用车辆中采用组件10的实施例中是特别有益的。当启用ADAS系统时,车辆控制不需要方向盘。方向盘12和转向轴14朝向仪表盘、并且可能进入仪表盘的收缩,通过为驾驶员提供更多的空间而极大地提高了用户舒适度。例如,提供的额外空间促进了额外的工作空间区域或腿部余地。
本文所描述的实施例提供当车辆处于自动驾驶模式或部分自动驾驶模式时的可收缩的方向盘。本文针对方向盘所描述的操作状态是标准驾驶模式、自动驾驶模式和其间的过渡模式。
在标准驾驶模式中,方向盘组件10延伸至一定位置,该位置可由驾驶员以允许完全操纵和控制该方向盘的方式舒适地达到。在此延伸位置,方向盘12联接到转向轴14,并且转向轴14联接到下部轴16。下部轴16操作性地联接到控制车辆的道路车轮的额外转向部件,从而允许驾驶员以标准驾驶模式控制道路车轮。
方向盘12联接至转向轴14至少部分地用花键关系和/或位置18处的槽-辊布置(图1和2)完成。转向轴14用滚珠螺杆20联接到下部轴16。转向轴锁定部件22在标准驾驶模式中延伸,以径向地迫使接合构件24(诸如滚珠)进入转向轴14上的接合特征26(本文也称为插孔),诸如尺寸适合于至少部分地接收接合构件24的槽。在一些实施例中,转向轴锁定部件22为螺线管。接合构件24与接合特征26的接合防止转向轴14平移并且仅允许其转动。来自驾驶员的扭矩和定位从方向盘12通过上文所描述的花键界面18传递到转向轴14,并且从转向轴14通过滚珠螺杆20的滚珠和轨道传递到下部轴16。下部轴16附接于使道路车轮转向的齿条助力式电子定位系统(EPS)。从道路车轮到驾驶员的反馈以反向方式传送。
在自动驾驶模式期间,驾驶员将通过一些车辆接口(诸如开关或按钮)启用ADAS系统。当启用时,方向盘锁定部件28通过在第一位置和第二位置之间运动锁定方向盘12使其不能转动。在一些实施例中,第一位置和第二位置是径向位置,使得方向盘锁定部件28促进径向接合。就安全和视觉反馈的问题而言,在一些实施例中,收缩的方向盘在车辆处于自动驾驶模式中时保持固定。实现固定方向盘功能同时仍然保持与道路车轮转向系统的机械链接的一种方式是将差动齿轮结合在转向联动系统中,如下文所述。
在一些实施例中,方向盘锁定部件28是螺线管(图1),其延伸和收缩以便通过使滚珠等42与方向盘12径向地接合或分离来锁定和解锁方向盘12的转动。
并非柱和车轮锁定机构的一部分的单独的致动系统(未示出)至少部分地使方向盘组件10收缩进入车辆的仪表板。当驾驶员不提供转向输入时,齿条助力EPS系统根据ADAS系统命令使车辆转向。当齿条助力EPS系统使道路车轮运动时,下部轴16转动。当下部轴16转动时,滚珠螺杆20迫使转向轴14沿上部花键18平移,原因在于方向盘12是固定的。当转向轴14平移时,取决于下部轴16的转动方向,居中弹簧组30沿一定方向或沿另一方向被压缩。
当驾驶员希望转变回标准驾驶模式时,停用ADAS系统。当停用时,延伸转向轴锁定部件22,从而朝向转向轴14驱动滚珠。居中弹簧30,连同齿条EPS致动器一起,将提供力以引导转向轴14返回中心轴向位置。当到达中心位置时,迫使滚珠进入轨道,并且轴向地锁定转向轴14。此时,通过感测来通知ADAS系统方向盘12已经准备好交回驾驶员。释放方向盘锁定部件28以允许方向盘转动,并且单独的致动系统使方向盘组件10延伸返回驾驶员的优选位置。

Claims (15)

1.一种固定式方向盘组件,包括:
连接到轴向延伸柱的方向盘组件;和
方向盘锁定部件,其能够与所述方向盘接合并且能够在第一位置和第二位置之间运动,所述第一位置锁定所述方向盘以防止所述方向盘的转动,所述第二位置解锁所述方向盘以允许所述方向盘的转动。
2.如权利要求1所述的固定式方向盘组件,其中,所述第一位置是第一径向位置,且所述第二位置是第二径向位置,其中,所述方向盘锁定部件在自动驾驶模式中处于径向第一位置,且在标准驾驶模式中处于径向第二位置。
3.如权利要求1所述的固定式方向盘组件,其中,所述方向盘锁定部件包括螺线管。
4.一种固定式方向盘组件,包括:
方向盘;
操作性地联接到所述方向盘的转向轴;
操作性地联接到所述转向轴的下部轴;
转向轴锁定部件,其能够与所述转向轴接合,并且能够在第一位置和第二位置之间运动,所述第一位置锁定所述转向轴以防止所述转向轴的轴向平移,且所述第二位置解锁所述转向轴以允许所述转向轴的轴向平移。
5.如权利要求4所述的固定式方向盘组件,其中,所述转向轴锁定部件在标准驾驶模式中处于所述第一位置。
6.如权利要求5所述的固定式方向盘组件,其中,当所述转向轴锁定部件处于所述第一位置时,所述转向轴响应于所述方向盘的转动而转动。
7.如权利要求4所述的固定式方向盘组件,其中,所述转向轴锁定部件在完全自动驾驶模式中处于所述第二位置,所述完全自动驾驶模式包括高级驾驶辅助系统,其控制车辆的道路车轮,从而导致所述下部轴的转动。
8.如权利要求7所述的固定式方向盘组件,其中,所述转向轴用滚珠螺杆操作性地联接到所述下部轴。
9.如权利要求8所述的固定式方向盘组件,其中,所述滚珠螺杆联接允许所述转向轴在所述自动驾驶模式中随所述下部轴的转动而平移。
10.如权利要求4所述的固定式方向盘组件,其中,所述转向轴锁定部件包括螺线管。
11.如权利要求4所述的固定式方向盘组件,还包括方向盘锁定部件,其能够与所述方向盘接合并且能够在第一位置和第二位置之间运动,所述第一位置锁定所述方向盘以防止所述方向盘的转动,所述第二位置解锁所述方向盘以允许所述方向盘的转动。
12.如权利要求11所述的固定式方向盘组件,其中,所述方向盘锁定部件包括螺线管。
13.如权利要求4所述的固定式方向盘组件,还包括弹簧组,其与所述转向轴操作性地接触,以朝向轴向中心位置偏压所述转向轴,以使所述转向柱锁定部件与插座对齐,所述插座的尺寸适合于接收处于所述转向轴锁定部件的所述第一位置的所述转向柱锁定部件。
14.一种控制自动车辆的固定式方向盘组件的方法,包括:
在标准驾驶模式中,使方向盘锁定部件从方向盘分离,以允许所述方向盘的转动;以及
在所述标准驾驶模式中,使转向轴锁定部件与转向轴接合,以防止所述转向轴的平移,并且允许所述转向轴随所述方向盘的转动而转动。
15.如权利要求14所述的方法,还包括:
在自动驾驶模式中,使所述方向盘锁定部件与所述方向盘接合,以防止所述方向盘的转动;以及
在所述自动驾驶模式中,使所述转向轴锁定部件从所述转向轴分离,以允许所述转向轴的平移,并防止所述转向轴响应于道路车轮的转动而转动,所述道路车轮在所述自动驾驶模式中由自动驾驶辅助系统控制。
