Description
一実施形態において、改善した減衰性能を有する多層減衰積層体が開示されている。減衰積層体及びその構成要素である減衰層の減衰性能は、これらの複合損失係数(CLF)特性の観点から説明できる。材料又は装置の複合損失係数は、振動エネルギーを熱エネルギーに転換する能力の尺度である。一般的な実行では、高度に減衰されるものとして選択された個別の層の材料又は組成物は、0.8以上の複合損失係数を有することができる。層状構造物において、構造物全体の複合損失係数の合計は、一般に0.05以上の値で効果的であるとみなされる。多層減衰積層体の複合損失係数は、例えば、標準プロトコルASTM E756‐05(2017)に記載のように決定できる。本明細書に記載の開示された多層減衰積層体は、約0.050超、例えば、約0.060超、約0.070超、約0.080超、約0.090超、約0.100超、約0.200超、約0.300超、約0.400超、又は約0.500超の200Hzにおける複合損失係数を有することができる。
開示された多層減衰積層体は、少なくとも1つの拘束層を含んでもよい。拘束層は、積層体構造体に剛性及びstiffnessを提供し、また、積層体に多数の不連続減衰層が存在する場合は、それを規定及び区別する作用をし得る。一部の場合において、減衰積層体は、第1の不連続減衰層及び少なくとも1つのさらなる不連続減衰層を含み、ここで、第1及び少なくとも1つのさらなる不連続減衰層は、少なくとも1つの拘束層によって互いに分離される。一部の実施形態において、少なくとも1つの拘束層は内部拘束層であり、内部拘束層の少なくとも一部は、第1の不連続減衰層と少なくとも1つのさらなる不連続減衰層との間に配置される。内部拘束層の一方の面は、第1の不連続減衰層に直接隣接し得る、又は内部拘束層と第1の不連続減衰層との間に配置された1つ以上の介在層が存在し得る。内部拘束層の反対面は、少なくとも1つのさらなる不連続減衰層に直接隣接し得る、又は内部拘束層と少なくとも1つのさらなる不連続減衰層との間に配置された1つ以上の介在層が存在し得る。第1の不連続減衰層の減衰材料領域による内部拘束層のカバレッジの割合は、上述の通りであり得る。
一部の場合において、多層積層体フィルムは、不連続減衰層に接続されたライナー層をさらに含む。一実施形態において、不連続減衰層は、第1の不連続減衰層であり得る。ライナー層の一方の面は、不連続減衰層に直接隣接し得る、又は不連続減衰層とライナー層との間に1つ以上の介在層が存在し得る。一部の場合において、不連続減衰層の一方の面は、少なくとも1つの拘束層に直接隣接し、また、不連続減衰層の反対の面は、ライナー層に直接隣接する。一実施形態において、多層積層体フィルムは、少なくとも1つの拘束層に対向する第1の不連続減衰層に接続されたライナー層をさらに含む。
実施形態1:少なくとも1つの拘束層と、1つ以上の減衰材料領域及び1つ以上のギャップ領域とを含む不連続減衰層とを含む多層減衰積層体であって、前記1つ以上の減衰材料領域による前記不連続減衰層のカバレッジの割合は、99%未満であり、且つ、前記多層減衰積層体の200Hzでの複合損失係数は、0.05を超える。
実施例
Avery Dennison社から商業的に入手可能な接着剤転写テープHPA1905のシートを減衰材料として機能するように、0.500インチ(1.270cm)幅の矩形ストリップに切断した。次いで、これらのストリップを厚さ5mil(125μm)のアルミニウム箔基材のシートに適用し、アルミニウム箔拘束層上に不連続減衰層の減衰材料領域を形成した。前記ストリップを前記箔に隣接するストリップの間に2つの異なるギャップ領域幅をもたせて適用した。一つの配列では、箔の表面積の約75%が接着ストリップで覆われるように0.25インチ幅のギャップ領域を使用した。第2の配列では、箔の表面積の約50%が接着ストリップで覆われるように、0.500インチ幅のギャップ領域を使用した。次に、それぞれの接着ストリップの配列を有する1枚のシートを、接着ストリップの配列が同じ別のシートに積層して、それぞれ2つの不連続減衰層と2つの拘束層とを有する多層拘束層減衰構造体を生成した。図2は、製造された二つの積層体構造体(比較例A及びB)の側面図、及び拘束アルミニウム箔層のカバレッジ全体を提供する連続減衰接着剤層を有する従来技術の対照積層体構造体の対照群の側面図である。

外部拘束層であって、前記少なくとも1つのさらなる不連続減衰層の少なくとも一部が、内部拘束層と外部拘束層との間に配置され、且つ、1つ以上のさらなる不連続層減衰材料領域による少なくとも1つのさらなる不連続減衰層のカバレッジの割合が約99%未満である外部拘束層と、をさらに含む、請求項1~13のいずれか一項に記載の多層減衰積層体。 - 前記1つ以上のさらなる不連続層減衰材料領域による前記少なくとも1つのさらなる不連続減衰層のカバレッジの割合は、約90%以下である、請求項14に記載の多層減衰積層体。
- 前記1つ以上のさらなる不連続層減衰材料領域による前記少なくとも1つのさらなる不連続減衰層のカバレッジの割合は、約70%を超える、請求項14又は15に記載の多層減衰積層体。
- 前記1つ以上のさらなる不連続層減衰材料領域による前記少なくとも1つのさらなる不連続減衰層のカバレッジの割合は、約50%を超える、請求項14~16のいずれか一項に記載の多層減衰積層体。
- 前記1つ以上のさらなる減衰層のギャップ領域の平均幅は、約0.200cm未満である、請求項14~17のいずれか一項に記載の多層減衰積層体。
- 前記1つ以上のさらなる不連続減衰層の減衰材料領域の平均幅は、約1.000cm未満である、請求項14~18のいずれか一項に記載の多層減衰積層体。
- 前記少なくとも1つのさらなる不連続減衰層は、前記外部拘束層に直接隣接している、請求項14~19のいずれか一項に記載の多層減衰積層体。
- 前記少なくとも1つのさらなる不連続減衰層の厚さは、約2μm~約5000μmの範囲である、請求項14~20のいずれか一項に記載の多層減衰積層体。
- 前記外部拘束層の厚さは、約5μm~約3000μmの範囲である、請求項14~21のいずれか一項に記載の多層減衰積層体。
- 1つ以上のさらなる不連続減衰層の減衰材料領域は、感圧接着剤を含む、請求項14~22のいずれか一項に記載の多層減衰積層体。
- 前記外部拘束層は、金属を含む、請求項14~23のいずれか一項に記載の多層減衰積層体。
- 前記金属は、金属箔である、請求項24に記載の多層減衰積層体。
- 前記金属は、アルミニウム、鋼、マグネシウム、ブロンズ、銅、黄銅、チタン、鉄、ベリリウム、モリブデン、タングステン又はオスミウムのうち少なくとも1つの金属を含む、請求項25に記載の多層減衰積層体。
- 前記不連続減衰層は、第1の不連続減衰層であり、前記少なくとも1つの拘束層は、第1の内部拘束層であり、
多層減衰積層体は、
N個のさらなる不連続減衰層(ここで、Nは2以上の整数である)であって、それぞれのさらなる不連続減衰層は、1つ以上のさらなる減衰材料領域及び1つ以上のさらなるギャップ領域を含み、且つ、第1の内部拘束層の少なくとも一部が第1の不連続減衰層と第1のさらなる不連続減衰層との間に配置されるN個のさらなる不連続減衰層と、
M個のさらなる内部拘束層(ここで、Mは1~N-1の範囲の整数である)であって、それぞれのM番目のさらなる内部拘束層の少なくとも一部がM番目のさらなる不連続減衰層と(M+1)番目のさらなる不連続減衰層との間に配置され、且つ、1つ以上のさらなる減衰材料領域によるN個のさらなる不連続減衰層のカバレッジの割合が約99%未満であるM個のさらなる内部拘束層と、
外部拘束層であって、N番目のさらなる不連続減衰層の少なくとも一部が(N-1)番目のさらなる内部拘束層と外部拘束層との間に配置され、且つ、1つ以上のさらなる減衰材料領域によるN個のさらなる不連続減衰層のカバレッジの割合が約99%未満である外部拘束層と、をさらに含む、請求項1~13のいずれか一項に記載の多層減衰積層体。 - ベース基板と、
請求項1~27のいずれか一項に記載の多層減衰積層体と、を含むシステムであって、
不連続減衰層が前記ベース基板に接続される、システム。 - 振動を受けるベース基板を提供するステップと、
請求項1~27のいずれか一項に記載の多層減衰積層体の不連続減衰層を前記ベース基板に接続することにより、前記ベース基板の振動を減少させるステップと、を含む、ベース基板の振動を低減させる方法。
