Description
本明細書で使用するとき、溶解性固形構造体は、本明細書では「溶解性固形構造体」、「構造体」、又は「溶解性構造体」と称され得る。
[1−([溶解性固形構造体の坪量]/[溶解性固形構造体の厚さ×塊の乾燥材料の密度])]×100%として計算され、
単位はそれらが約分して、100%を乗じられてパーセント多孔率を提供するように調整される。
溶解性固形構造体形態のヘアケア製品は、消費者にとって魅力的な形態を呈する。これらの製品の典型的な使用法としては、消費者が製品を手に持ち、水を添加して溶液又は分散液を生成して、毛髪に塗布することが挙げられる。多くの場合、製品は、溶解するのに長い時間を要して、消費者にとって不愉快な体験となる場合がある。したがって、より迅速な溶解を示す溶解性固体を有する必要性が存在する。驚くべきことに、発泡用成分を含有する発泡性凝集粒子を封入することは、固体のより速い溶解に寄与することが見出された。発泡性成分が同じ凝集粒子中に存在しない場合、溶解はより遅くなる。
溶解性固形構造体は、約1:0.05〜約1:2、あるいは約1:0.05〜約1:0.4の繊維対発泡性凝集粒子比率を有する。溶解性固形構造体は、約1重量%〜約40重量%の予備形成された発泡性凝集粒子、あるいは約5〜約25重量%の予備形成された発泡性凝集粒子、あるいは約10〜約15重量%の予備形成された発泡性凝集粒子を有し得る。発泡塩は、医薬産業及び食品産業で広く使用されている。好適な発泡塩(炭酸塩)としては、重炭酸ナトリウム及び炭酸ナトリウムが挙げられるが、これらに限定されない。発泡又は「フィズ(fizz)」は、製品が有効であるという旨のメッセージを消費者に提供する。発泡効果をもたらす化学物質の最も一般的な組み合わせは、固体材料である重炭酸ナトリウム及びクエン酸である。

本発明の溶解性固形構造体(乾燥)は、(a)約20重量%〜約65重量%の洗浄性界面活性剤と、(b)約5重量%〜約70重量%の水溶性ポリマー構造剤と、を含む繊維構造体又は多孔質溶解性固体の形態であってもよく、予備形成された発泡性凝集粒子を更に含む。溶解性固形構造体は、約3重量%〜約75重量%の界面活性剤、あるいは約5重量%〜約65重量%の界面活性剤を含み得る。溶解性固形構造体は、約10重量%〜約50重量%のポリマー構造剤、あるいは約15重量%〜約40重量%のポリマー構造剤、あるいは約20重量%〜約30重量%のポリマー構造剤を含み得る。溶解性固形構造体は、約0.03グラム/立方センチメートル〜約0.50グラム/立方センチメートルの嵩密度を有し得る。
溶解性固形構造体は、構造剤として機能する水溶性ポリマーを含む。本明細書で使用するとき、用語「水溶性ポリマー」は水溶性ポリマー及び水分散性ポリマーの両方を包含するだけの十分な広範さがあり、25℃で少なくとも約0.1グラム/リットル(g/L)と測定される水溶解度を備えるポリマーとして定義される。いくつかの実施形態では、このポリマーは、25℃で測定して約0.1グラム/リットル(g/L)〜約500グラム/リットル(g/L)の水溶解度を有する(これは、巨視的に等方性の又は透明な、有色又は無色の溶液の生成を示す)。これらの溶解性固形構造体を作製するためのポリマーは、合成のもの又は天然由来のものでもよく、かつ化学反応によって変性されてもよい。これらは被膜形成性であってもよく、そうでなくてもよい。ポリマーは、生理学的に許容可能であるべきである。つまり、ポリマーは皮膚、粘膜、毛髪、及び頭皮に適合性であるべきである。
溶解性固形構造体は、毛髪又は皮膚への塗布に好適な1つ以上の洗浄性界面活性剤を含む。構造体での使用に好適な界面活性剤としては、アニオン性界面活性剤、非イオン性界面活性剤、カチオン性界面活性剤、双極性イオン性界面活性剤、両性界面活性剤、高分子界面活性剤、又はこれらの組み合わせが挙げられる。代表的な界面活性剤を本明細書に記載したが、当業者であれば、他の界面活性剤で容易に代用することができ、同様の利益を、本明細書に記載のビニルアセテート−ビニルアルコールコポリマーの使用から得ることができるということを認識するであろう。本明細書全体にわたって記載される各特許は、それぞれが構造体中に含有するのに適した界面活性剤に関する指針を提供する範囲で、参照により本明細書に援用される。
構造体(乾燥)は、任意で、約1重量%〜約25重量%の可塑剤、一実施形態では約3重量%〜約20重量%の可塑剤、一実施形態では約5重量%〜約15重量%の可塑剤を含む。
溶解性連続気泡発泡体の溶解性固形構造体は、米国特許第US20120270029号、及び同第US2013303419号に開示されるプロセスのいずれかに従って作製することができる。
本発明の繊維要素は、あらゆる好適なプロセスによって製造することができる。繊維要素を作製するための好適なプロセスの非限定的な例は以下に記載される。
a.1つ以上のフィラメント形成材料と、任意で1つ以上の活性剤とを含むフィラメント形成組成物を提供する工程と、
b.フィラメント形成組成物を、紡糸ダイを介するなどして、1種以上のフィラメント形成材料と、任意で1種以上の活性剤とを含む1つ以上の繊維要素、例えば、フィラメント10に紡糸する工程と、を含む。1種以上の活性剤は、意図される使用条件に曝されると繊維要素から放出可能であってもよい。繊維要素、例えばフィラメント10中に存在する1種以上のフィラメント形成材料の合計濃度は、活性剤がその中に存在する場合、乾燥繊維要素基準及び/又は乾燥繊維構造体基準で、80重量%未満、及び/又は70重量%未満、及び/又は65重量%未満、及び/又は50重量%以下であってよく、1種以上の活性剤の合計濃度は、繊維要素中に存在する場合、乾燥繊維要素基準及び/又は乾燥繊維構造体基準で、20重量%超、及び/又は35重量%超、及び/又は50重量%以上、65重量%以上、及び/又は80重量%以上であってよい。
本発明の繊維構造体、例えば繊維構造体層又はプライは、フィラメント形成組成物を紡糸ダイから紡糸して、フィラメント10などの複数の繊維要素を形成することによって作製されてもよい。繊維要素は、メルトブロー、スパンボンド、エレクトロスピニング、及び/又は回転紡糸などの好適な紡糸プロセス操作を介して紡糸することができる。
層間に配置された微量成分を含む3層ウェブスタックは、共に固体形成プロセス(下記の回転刃開口装置を参照)に通し、物品中にほぼ円錐形の開口部を形成し、機械的に積層された物品をもたらす層間繊維相互作用を引き起こすことができる。積層助剤(例えば、ウェブ可塑剤、接着剤流体など)を追加的に用いて、確実に層を積層する助けとすることができる。

活性剤を含む表面残留コーティングの調製は、本明細書に記載したいずれかの任意材料を含む活性剤(複数可)を含有する組成物、又は流体からのコーティングを生成するための任意の好適な、機械的手段、化学的手段、又はその他の手段を含み得る。
本明細書に記載される組成物は、毛髪、毛包、皮膚、歯、及び口腔を洗浄及び/又は処理するために使用され得る。これらの消費者基材を処理するための方法は、a)有効量の構造体を手に適用する工程と、b)構造体を水で濡らして固体を溶解する工程と、c)標的消費者基材を洗浄又は処理するなどのために溶解した材料を標的消費者基材に適用する工程と、d)希釈した処理組成物を消費者基材からすすぎ落とす工程と、を含んでもよい。これらの工程は、所望のクレンジング及び又はトリートメント効果を達成するために必要に応じて何度でも繰り返すことができる。

一般に、材料又は物品(溶解性固形構造体を含む)の坪量は、最初にダイカッター又は同等物を使用して試料を既知の面積に切断し、続いて、最小分解能0.01gの上皿天秤で試料の重量を測定及び記録し、続いて最後に、以下のとおり坪量を計算することによって測定される。

本実施例は、Electromatic Equipment Co.(Cedarhurst,NY)製のCheck−Line J−40−V Digital Material Thickness Gaugeを用いて測定した。
嵩密度は、以下に従って、所与の試料(固体溶解性構造体)の厚さ及び坪量の計算(上記の方法を使用して)によって決定される。
界面活性剤密度は、材料の嵩密度及び界面活性剤活性(界面活性剤である物品の分率)を考慮して、計算によって決定される。
Texture Exponent 32ソフトウェアと共にTA−57R円筒型プローブを用いて、質感分析器で破壊方法によって測定する。構造体は4〜7mmの厚さを有して、本方法の場合は少なくとも7mmの直径を有する円に切断されるか、あるいは、この全体的な厚さ及び直径範囲内となるように、慎重に切断又は積層されるべきである。多孔質固体物試料を、シリンダーの上部に取り付けられた4本のネジでシリンダーの上部に慎重に取り付け、上蓋を試料の上の所定の位置に重着する。シリンダー及びその蓋の中心には、プローブが通過して試料を引き伸ばすことを可能にする穴がある。試料は、合計30mmの距離を、毎秒1mmの前試験速度、毎秒2mmの試験速度、及び毎秒3mmの後試験速度で測定する。最大力までの距離を記録する。
溶解性構造体/物品の設置面積は、基部面積(すなわち設置面積)が計算され得るように、その基部の寸法を測定することによって測定することができる。例えば、物品の基部が直角を有する平行四辺形である場合、基部の不均等な辺(A及びB)の長さは定規によって測定され、基部の面積(設置面積)は、製品A×Bとして計算される。物品の基部が正方形である場合、辺(C)の長さは定規によって測定され、基部の面積(設置面積)は正方形C2として計算される。形状の他の例としては、円形、楕円形などが挙げられる。
必要な材料:
試験対象物品:3〜5個の物品(最終製品試料)を試験し、個別の物品試料のそれぞれのストローク数の平均を計算して、物品の平均手溶解値として記録する。この方法では、消費者に販売可能な物品又は消費者が使用する物品の全体が試験される。消費者に販売可能な物品又は消費者が使用する物品全体が50cm2を超える設置面積を有する場合には、最初に、50cm2の設置面積を有するように物品を切断する。

使用される水は、硬度7gpg及び40℃+/−5℃である。
・300〜500mLの水をガラスビーカーに添加する。
・水が40℃+/−5℃の温度になるまでビーカー内の水を加熱する。
・ビーカーからシリンジによって10mLの水を秤量ボートに移す。
・水を秤量ボートに移す10秒以内に、手袋をはめた手(物品試料を保持するための非利き手で、カップのように丸めた形の手)の掌に物品試料を置く。
・利き手を使用して、秤量ボートから物品試料に水を素早く添加して、直ちに5〜10秒間濡らす。
・反対側の利き手(同様に手袋もはめている)を用いて2回の急速な円形ストロークで擦る。
・2回のストローク後に、手の中の物品試料を視覚的に検査する。物品試料が完全に溶解している場合、ストローク数=2回の溶解ストロークと記録する。完全に溶解していない場合は、残りの物品試料を更に2回円形ストロークで擦り(合計4回)、溶解度を観察する。2回の更なるストローク後に物品試料が固体片を含有していない場合、ストローク数=4回の溶解ストロークと記録する。合計で4回のストローク後も、なお物品試料が溶解していない物品試料の固体片を含む場合は、追加で2回の円形ストロークで残存する物品試料を継続して擦り、物品試料が完全に溶解するまでか、又は合計で30回のストロークに達するまでのいずれか早い方に達するまで、各追加の2回のストローク後に固体片が残存しているか否かを確認する。ストロークの合計回数を記録する。最大30回のストローク後に固形の物品試料が残った場合であっても、30回の溶解ストロークと記録する。
・更に4つの物品試料のそれぞれについて、このプロセスを繰り返す。
・5つの個々の物品試料について記録された溶解ストロークの値の算術平均を計算し、物品の平均手溶解値として記録する。平均手溶解値は、単一の溶解ストローク単位の単位で報告する。
構造体は、以下に記載される泡プロファイルを提供する。発泡容量評価は、0.098gの人工的な液体皮脂[10〜22%のオリーブオイル、18〜20%のココナッツオイル、18〜20%のオレイン酸、5〜9%のラノリン、5〜9%のスクアレン、3〜6%のパルミチン酸、3〜6%のパラフィンオイル、3〜6%のドデカン、1〜4%のステアリン酸、1〜4%のコレステロール、1〜4%のココナッツ脂肪酸、18〜20%のcholeth−24]で処理された15g/10インチのフラットな東洋人の真新しいヘアピースで実施される。そのヘアピースを、シャワーノズルで9〜11グレインの100oFの水を用いて20秒にわたり1.5ガロン/分ですすぐ。液体対照製品を試験する場合、0.75cm3の液体製品を、ヘアピースの中心に適用し、次にヘアピース上の毛髪の下部分を毛髪上の製品越しに円運動で10回擦り、続いて前後に40回ストロークする(合計80ストローク)。泡速度を、80回のストロークの間に最初の泡が明らかに発生するときのストローク数として記録する。オペレーターの手袋からの泡を、内径3.5cmで、合計容量が発生する泡の合計量に応じて70mL、110mL、又は140mLのいずれかであるメスシリンダーに移す(ガラス専門店によって標準寸法のメスシリンダーの高さを変更)。毛髪からの泡は、ヘアピースを強く握り締めて下方向に1ストローク動かすことによって集め、そしてまたシリンダー内に入れる。総泡体積をミリリットル単位で記録する。試験試料につき3回の作業を行い、3つの値の平均を計算する。構造体を試験する時は、必要に応じてはさみを使用して0.20±0.01グラムの製品を秤量してからヘアピースに適用し、続いて2cm3の追加の水をシリンジで製品に添加する。続いて、10秒間の待ち時間後に、発泡法を液体製品用に説明されているとおりに実施する。
繊維構造体の場合、ウェブ試料中の溶解性繊維の直径は、走査型電子顕微鏡(SEM)又は光学顕微鏡及び画像分析ソフトウェアを使用して決定する。測定のために繊維が適切に拡大されるように、200〜10,000倍の倍率を選択する。SEMを使用するときに、電子ビームにおける繊維の帯電及び振動を避けるために、試料は金又はパラジウム化合物でスパッタされる。SEM又は光学顕微鏡で撮影された(モニタ画面上の)画像から、繊維直径を決定するための手動手順を用いる。マウス及びカーソルツールを用いて、無作為に選択された繊維の縁部を探し、その後、その幅方向に(すなわち、その時点での繊維方向に対して垂直に)繊維の他方の縁部まで測定する。目盛付きで較正された画像解析ツールは、マイクロメートル(μm)単位での実際の読み取り値を得るためのスケーリングを提供する。SEM又は光学顕微鏡を使用して、ウェブ試料全域で数個の繊維を無作為に選択する。ウェブ(若しくは製品内のウェブ)から少なくとも2つの試験体を切り取り、この方法で試験する。こうした測定を少なくとも合計で100回行い、続いて全てのデータを統計分析のために記録する。記録されたデータは、繊維直径の平均値(平均)、繊維直径の標準偏差、及び繊維直径の中央値を算出するために使用される。別の有用な統計値は、特定の上限以下である繊維の集合の量の算出である。この統計値を決定するために、ソフトウェアは、繊維直径のうちどれぐらい多くの結果が上限以下であるかカウントするようにプログラムされ、このカウント(データの合計数で除算され100%を乗算される)は、上限未満のパーセント(例えば直径1マクロメートル未満のパーセント、又はサブミクロンの%)としてパーセント単位で報告される。本発明者らは、個々の円形繊維の測定された直径(マイクロメートル単位)をdiと表す。
連続気泡発泡構造体の場合、構造体は気泡壁厚さを有する。その気泡壁の厚さは、本明細書に記載されるとおりマイクロコンピューターを使った断層撮影システム(μCT80、SN 06071200、Scanco Medical AG)によってスキャンされた画像から計算される。その気泡壁の厚さは、Scanco Medicalの骨梁形態計測評価を用いた骨梁厚さ測定のために定められる方法に従って決定される。
構造体の坪量は、成分の面積当たりの構造体成分の重量(グラム/m2)として計算される。その面積は多孔質固体の外縁部に対して垂直な平坦面上の投影面積として計算される。したがって、平らな物体に対しては、面積は、試料の外側周囲内に取り囲まれている面積に基づいて計算される。したがって、球状物体に関しては、面積は、平均直径に基づいて3.14×(直径/2)2として計算される。したがって、円筒状物体に対しては、面積は、平均直径及び平均長さに基づいて直径×長さとして計算される。不規則形状の三次元物体に対しては、面積は、この側面に対して垂直に方向付けられた平坦面上に投影される最大外側寸法を備える側面に基づいて計算される。このことは、物体の外側寸法を1枚のグラフ用紙に鉛筆で注意深くトレーシングし、次に正方形を近似的に計数し、その正方形の既知の面積を乗算することによるか、又はスケールを含むトレーシングした領域(コントラストのために陰影がつけられている)の写真を撮り、画像分析技術を用いることにより、その面積を算定することによって達成できる。
構造体の乾燥密度は、次の等式によって決定される:計算された密度=多孔質固体の坪量/(多孔質固体の厚さ×1,000)。溶解性多孔質固体の坪量及び厚さは、本明細書に記載の方法に従って決定される。
清潔なかみそりの刃でこのスポンジから代表的な切片を切り出し、切断面を上向きにして標準クライオSEMスタブ上に置く。炭素テープ及び銀塗料で試料を台に固定する。Gatan Alto2500クライオステージを取り付けたHitachi S−4700 FE−SEMを用いて試料を撮像する。顕微鏡での撮像前に、試料を−95℃に冷却する。試料を白金で軽くコーティングして、荷電を低減する。下部二次電子検出器を用いて、2kV、20μA引出電圧、超高解像モードにて代表的な画像を収集する。長作動距離を使用して、試料全体が1つのフレームにて撮像されるようにする。
連続気泡発泡構造体の場合、星形体積及び構造モデル指数によって気泡間接続性を測定するために、直径約4cm、高さ3〜7mmの円盤状試料を、マイクロコンピューターを使った断層撮影システム(μCT80、SN 06071200、Scanco Medical AG)を用いてスキャンする。各試料を、円筒型の管の底の上に平らに載っている間に撮像する。画像取得のパラメータは、視野45kVp、177μA、51.2mm、集積時間800ms、1000投影である。スライスの数は、試料の高さをカバーするように調節する。再構築されるデータセットは、25μmの等方性解像度を備える各2048×2048ピクセルの画像の積み重ねからなる。データ分析には、表面領域を避けて、完全に試料の内部に入るように関心体積を選択する。典型的な関心体積は1028×772×98ボクセルである。
連続気泡発泡構造体の場合、連続気泡含有率は、ガス比重びん法により測定される。ガス比重びん法は、体積を正確に測定するガス置換法を用いる一般的な分析技術である。置換媒体としてヘリウム又は窒素のような不活性ガスが用いられる。構造体の試料を既知の体積の計器コンパートメント内に密閉し、適切な不活性ガスを入れ、次に別の精密な内部体積に膨張させる。膨張前後の圧力を測定し、これを用いて試料構造体の体積を計算する。この体積を試料構造体の重量に分割すると、ガス置換密度が得られる。
