Abstract
Un procedimiento para preparar un artículo antimicrobiano, en el que se forma un coloide de plata in situ como resultado de los componentes empleados. El procedimiento comprende los pasos de: (i) proporcionar un líquido que contiene un polímero polar soluble en un disolvente seleccionado de entre ciertos disolventes polares orgánicos; (ii) anadir a dicho líquido una sal de plata seleccionada de entre carboxilatos de plata alfa-funcionalizados; (iii) permitir que la mezcla reaccione con formacion de un coloide de plata; y (iv) separar el disolvente de la mezcla y formar el artículo antimicrobiano. Los artículos antimicrobianos así obtenidos pueden ser hojas, películas, fibras, capas de revestimiento, y especialmente membranas tales como una membrana semipermeable para ultrafiltracion, separacion de agua o separacion de gases.
