Abstract

上式で、V電池/充電は充電器30による計測値としての電池20の電圧であり、V端子は端子両端の電圧降下(例えば、110mV)であり、さらにVセルは電池電圧のパーセントで評価されているセルの電圧である。セル5の電圧の評価値が閾値(「低減閾値(reduction threshold)」)を超えれば、電池充電器30は、後続の電流オン期間Tオン3を変更することができる。この例では、電池充電器30は、セル5の電圧の評価値(または算定値)が低減閾値(約800ミリ秒である)に達する時点を記憶している。図39に示すように、充電器30は、セル5を高い電池セルとして識別しかつ算定し、さらに後続の電流オン期間Tオン3を、充電器30が記憶している継続時間(例えば、800ミリ秒)とほぼ等しいように変更する。したがって、電流オン期間Tオン3の長さT2は、先行する電流オン期間Tオン1およびTオン2の長さT1よりも短い。

Claims (10)
- 第1の電動工具の電池および第2の電動工具の電池を充電するように動作可能な電池充電器であって、
制御器と、
パルス充電を介して前記第1の電動工具の電池および前記第2の電動工具の電池を充電するように動作可能な充電回路とを備え、
前記第1の電動工具の電池は、第1の複数の電池セルを有し、前記第1の複数の電池セルの各々は、リチウムベースの化学的性質を有し、
前記第2の電動工具の電池は、第2の複数の電池セルを有し、前記第2の複数の電池セルの各々は、ニッケルカドミウムの化学的性質およびニッケル水素の化学的性質の一方を有し、
前記充電回路は、充電電流を前記第1の電動工具の電池および前記第2の電動工具の電池に供給し、前記充電電流は、前記第1の電動工具の電池の充電動作の少なくとも一部に対してパルス化されていることを特徴とする電池充電器。 - 前記充電回路は、前記ニッケルカドミウムの化学的性質および前記ニッケル水素の化学的性質の他方を有する第3電池を充電するように動作可能であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の電池充電器。
- 前記制御器は、前記第1の電動工具の電池のリチウムベースの化学的性質を識別するように動作可能であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の電池充電器。
- 前記制御器は、前記充電回路を制御して、第1の充電アルゴリズムによって前記第1の電動工具の電池へ充電電流を供給し、第2の充電アルゴリズムによって前記第2の電動工具の電池へ充電電流を供給するように動作可能であり、
前記第1の充電アルゴリズムは前記第2の充電アルゴリズムとは異なることを特徴とする請求項1記載の電池充電器。 - 前記充電電流は、前記第2の電動工具の電池の充電動作に対して一定であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電池充電器。
- 第1の電動工具の電池および第2の電動工具の電池を充電するように動作可能な電池充電器であって、
制御器と、
パルスモードで、前記第1の電動工具の電池に充電電流を供給するように動作可能な充電回路とを備え、
前記充電回路はさらに、前記第2の電動工具の電池に充電電流を供給するように動作可能であり、
前記第1の電動工具の電池は、リチウムベースの化学的性質を有し、
前記第2の電動工具の電池は、リチウムベースの化学的性質とは異なる化学的性質を有することを特徴とする電池充電器。 - 前記充電回路は、前記制御器を含むことを特徴とする請求項6記載の電池充電器。
- 前記第2の電動工具の電池の化学的性質は、ニッケルカドミウムであることを特徴とする請求項6記載の電池充電器。
- 前記第2の電動工具の電池の化学的性質は、ニッケル水素であることを特徴とする請求項6記載の電池充電器。
- 前記第1の電動工具の電池および前記第2の電動工具の電池の一方は、手持ち型の電動工具に電力を供給するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項6記載の電池充電器。
