Definitions
- Embodiments relate to a multilayer graphite sheet excellent in electromagnetic shielding capability and thermal conductivity and a method of manufacturing the same.
- the graphite sheet can be produced by expanded graphite method using natural graphite.
- the expanded graphite method is a method of producing a graphite sheet by immersing natural graphite in a mixture of concentrated sulfuric acid and acetic acid and then heating it rapidly, removing acid through a series of cleaning processes, and then processing the film into a film through a high pressure press. to be.
- the graphite sheet manufactured by the above method has a disadvantage in that the strength is low and the heat dissipation characteristics such as thermal conductivity are low, and in addition, defects may occur due to residual acid introduced during the acid cleaning process.
- a polymer graphite method in which a polymer film is carbonized and graphitized by heat treatment to produce a graphite sheet.
- polymer films such as polyoxadiazole, polyimide, polyphenylenevinylene, polybenzoimidazole, polybenzoxazole, polythiazole, polyamide and the like are used.
- the polymer graphite method has an advantage that the manufacturing process is simpler than the conventional expanded graphite method, and there is no impurities such as acid in the process.
- the graphite sheet obtained by the polymer graphite method is so excellent that the thermal conductivity and the electrical conductivity are close to those of the single crystal graphite (see Japanese Patent Laid-Open Nos. 60-181129, H7-109171 and S61-275116).
- a polymer film such as a polyimide film as a raw material is generally expensive, and due to material limitations, it is difficult to obtain a thick graphite sheet of 70 ⁇ m or more.
- the electromagnetic shielding ability of the graphite sheet is not well implemented at a thickness less than 70 ⁇ m, it is difficult to simultaneously realize high thermal conductivity and electromagnetic shielding ability in the conventional method.
- embodiments provide a hybrid laminate using relatively inexpensive materials, carbonize and graphitize it, and provide a multilayer graphite sheet capable of exhibiting excellent electromagnetic shielding ability with high thermal conductivity, and a method of manufacturing the same.
- At least one first graphite layer and at least one second graphite layer includes a laminate in which a total of five or more layers alternately stacked, wherein the first graphite layer is denser than the second graphite layer.
- a multilayer graphite sheet which is a dense layer.
- the step of forming a coating layer by coating a resin composition on one or both sides of the fiber substrate Manufacturing a laminate in which at least one of the fiber substrates and at least one of the coating layers is alternately laminated in total of five or more layers; A first heat treatment step of curing the coating layer by heat treating the laminate; And a second heat treatment step of carbonizing and graphitizing the fiber substrate and the coating layer by further heat-treating the laminate having undergone the first heat treatment step.
- a method of manufacturing a multilayer graphite sheet is provided.
- the multilayer graphite sheet of the above embodiment has a multilayer structure of five or more layers in total, it can be produced in a thick thickness of 70 ⁇ m or more even after rolling, and thus the electromagnetic shielding ability can be significantly improved.
- the multilayer graphite sheet may provide excellent thermal conductivity by increasing the density and reinforcing the layered structure through rolling.
- the multilayer graphite sheet is manufactured by graphitizing a hybrid laminate in which heterogeneous materials are mixed, thermal conductivity and electromagnetic shielding ability can be simultaneously realized at a lower cost.
