Abstract

본 발명은 기판의 표면에 자기층을 형성하여 자기 기록 매체(예:기록 테이프)를 제조하기 위해 사용되는 피복 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 특징적인 성분은 공중합체 수지이다. 공중합체 수지는 (1) 비닐 클로라이드,(2) 비닐 아세테이트 및 (3) 설폰산 그룹 또는 이의 금속염 또는 아민염을 갖는 아크릴레이트 또는 메타크릴레이트를 특별한 비율로 포함하는 공단량체들의 공중합체 의해 수득되는 공중합체이다. 이 공중합체 수지는 증진된 분산 특성과 자기 특성을 부여하면서 동시에 바람직한 레올러지 특성과 열안정성을 부여하는 이점이 있다.

Claims (10)

  1. 유기 용매에 용해되거나 분산되는 것으로서, 비닐 클로라이드(a), 비닐 아세테이트(b) 및 설폰산 그룹(-SO3H) 또는 이의 금속염 또는 아민염을 갖는 아크릴레이트 또는 메타크릴레이트 부분(moiety)(설포메틸 메타크릴레이트 제외)(c)인 단량체 부분을 포함하는 공중합체 수지(A) 및 비히클로서의 공중합체 수지에 분산되는 강자성 물질의 입자(B)를 포함하는 자기 기록 매체용 자기 피복 조성물.
  2. 기판; 및 기판 위에 존재하는 제1항에 따른 공중합체 수지가 자기 피복층의 분산 특성을 증진시키기에 충분한 양으로 포함된 경화된 결합제 시스템과 자기 입자를 포함하는 자기 기록층을 포함하는 자기 기록 매체.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 성분(A)인 공중합체 수지의 평균 중합도가 200 내지 800인 자기 피복 조성물.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 성분(A)인 공중합체 수지의 양이 성분(B)인 강자성 물질의 입자 100중량부 당 8 내지 30중량부의 범위인 자기 피복 조성물.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 아크릴레이트 또는 메타크릴레이트의 일반식이 CH2=C(CH3)-CO-O-C2H4-SO3X(여기서, X는 수소, 알칼리 금속 또는 양성자화 아민이다)인 자기 피복 조성물.
  6. 유기 용매에 용해되거나 분산되는 것으로서, 제1단량체 부분으로서, 구조식 -CH2-CHCl-의 비닐 클로라이드(a) 65 내지 95중량%; 제2단량체 부분으로서, 구조식 -CH2CH(O-CO-CH3)-의 비닐 아세테이트(b) 3 내지 15중량%; 및 제3단량체 부분으로서, 설폰산 그룹(-SO3H) 또는 이의 금속염 또는 아민염을 갖는 아크릴레이트 또는 메타크릴레이트(설포메틸 메타그릴레이트 제외)(c) 0.1 내지 5중량%를 포함하는 공중합체 수지(A) 및 비히클로서의 공중합체 수지에 분산되는 강유전성 물질의 입자(B)를 포함하는 자기 기록 매체용 자기 피복 조성물.
  7. 기판; 및 기판위에 존재하는 제6항에 따른 공중합체 수지가 자기 피복층의 분산 특성을 증진시키기에 충분한 양으로 포함된 경화된 결합제 시스템과 자기 입자를 포함하는 자기 기록층을 포함하는 자기 기록 매체.
  8. 제6항에 있어서, 성분(A)인 공중합체 수지의 평균 중합도가 200 내지 800인 자기 피복 조성물.
  9. 제6항에 있어서, 성분(A)인 공중합체 수지의 양이 성분(B)인 강자성 물질의 입자 100중량부 당 8 내지 30중량부의 범위인 자기 피복 조성물.
  10. 제6항에 있어서, 아크릴레이트 또는 메타크릴레이트의 일반식이 CH2=C(CH3)-CO-O-C2H4-SO3X(여기서, X는 수소, 알칼리 금속 또는 양성자화 아민이다)인 자기 피복 조성물.
