Claims (34)
- 粒子治療システムを用いた治療のために患者を位置決定するために、前記粒子治療システムを含む治療システムを制御するために、コンピュータシステムによって実行される方法であって、前記コンピュータシステムが、
前記患者が治療台上にいるときに、前記患者に関連付けられた基準及び照射ターゲットの第1の画像を取得するために、撮像位置に配置された第1の撮像システムを制御する段階であって、前記撮像位置が、前記粒子治療システムを用いた治療が実行される治療室内に配置される、第1の撮像システムを制御する段階と、
前記患者が前記治療台上にいるときに、前記治療台を前記撮像位置から、前記粒子治療システムを用いた治療が実行される治療位置に向けて移動するように前記治療台を制御する段階であって、前記治療位置が、前記撮像位置とは異なり、前記治療室内にある、前記治療台を制御する段階と、
前記治療台の移動後に、前記患者が前記治療台上にいるときに、前記治療室内の前記基準の第2の画像を取得するために第2の撮像システムを制御する段階と、
前記第1の画像及び前記第2の画像の両方に基づいて、前記治療室内の前記基準の位置を判断する段階と、
前記治療室内の前記基準の位置及び前記第1の画像内の前記基準の位置に基づいて、前記粒子治療システムに対する前記照射ターゲットの位置を判断する段階と、
前記照射ターゲットの位置に基づいて、前記治療台を前記治療室内の前記治療位置に移動させるように前記治療台を制御する段階と、を含む動作を実行し、
前記患者が、前記第1の画像を取得し、前記治療台を前記治療位置に向けて移動し、前記第2の画像を取得し、前記治療台を前記治療位置に移動する間、前記治療台上に維持される、方法。 - 前記第1の撮像システムが、前記患者の内部画像及び前記基準の内部画像を取得するように構成され、
前記第2の撮像システムが、前記基準の外部画像を取得するように構成された、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記第1の画像が、X線放射線画像、コンピュータ断層撮影(CT)装置によって取得されたCT画像、磁気共鳴撮影(MRI)装置によって取得されたMRI画像、陽電子放出断層撮影(PET)装置によって取得されたPET画像、ビデオ表面撮像装置によって取得された画像、またはSPECT/CT装置によって取得された画像の1つまたは複数を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記コンピュータシステムが、前記患者を前記治療位置において治療するための前記粒子治療システムを制御する段階を含む動作を実行し、
前記粒子治療システムを制御する段階が、前記粒子治療システムを用いて、前記患者に陽子を照射するように、前記粒子治療システムを制御する段階を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記粒子治療システムがアイソセンターを有し、前記アイソセンターが前記治療位置を含む、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記粒子治療システムに対する前記照射ターゲットの位置が、前記治療室内の参照座標系に基づいて判断される、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記粒子治療システムがアイソセンターを有し、前記治療台を前記治療位置に移動させるように前記治療台を制御する段階が、前記照射ターゲットの位置が前記アイソセンターの位置に対応するように、前記治療台を移動させるように前記治療台を制御する段階を含む、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記参照座標系が、前記粒子治療システムを含む実世界空間の一部である、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記治療台を前記治療位置に移動させるように前記治療台を制御する段階が、前記患者が前記治療台上にいる状態で、前記治療台を、前記撮像位置から前記治療位置まで自動的に移動させるロボット機構を用いて実行される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記コンピュータシステムが、前記患者上の解剖学的ランドマークを特定する段階と、前記基準となる前記解剖学的ランドマークを指定する段階と、を含む動作を実行する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の画像が、3次元(3D)画像または2次元(2D)画像を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記コンピュータシステムが、
前記治療室内の前記基準の位置及び前記第1の画像内の前記基準の位置に基づいて前記照射ターゲットの方向を判断する段階と、
前記照射ターゲットの方向に基づいて、前記治療の方向を設定する段階と、を含む動作を実行する、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記コンピュータシステムが、
前記第1及び第2の画像に基づいて、経時的に前記基準の移動を追跡する段階と、
前記基準の移動に基づいて、前記治療台の移動を制御する段階と、を含む動作を実行する、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記コンピュータシステムが、
前記第1及び第2の画像に基づいて、経時的に前記基準の移動を追跡する段階と、
前記基準の移動に基づいて前記粒子治療システムを制御する段階と、を含む動作を実行する、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記第1の画像を取得するために前記第1の撮像システムを制御する段階が、前記第1の画像を異なる時間において取得するように、前記第1の撮像システムを制御する段階を含み、
前記コンピュータシステムが、
異なる時間における前記基準の異なる位置に基づいて前記基準の移動を識別する段階と、
前記移動に基づいて前記粒子治療システムを制御する段階と、を含む動作を実行する、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 患者を保持するための治療台と、
患者に関連付けられた基準と、
前記患者が前記治療台上にいる状態で、前記基準及び照射ターゲットの第1の画像を取得するための、撮像位置に配置された第1の撮像システムであって、前記第1の撮像システムが、粒子治療システムを用いた治療が行われる治療室内に配置される、第1の撮像システムと、
前記患者が前記治療台上にいる状態で、前記治療台を前記撮像位置から、前記粒子治療システムを用いた治療が行われる治療位置に向けて移動させるための機構であって、前記治療位置が前記撮像位置とは異なり、前記治療室内にある、前記治療台を移動させるための機構と、
前記治療台を前記治療位置に向けて移動した後であって、前記患者が前記治療台上にいる状態で、前記治療室内で、前記基準の第2の画像を取得するための第2の撮像システムと、
前記第2の画像内の基準の位置を、前記治療室内の位置に位置合わせし、前記第1の画像内の基準の位置を前記治療室内の位置に位置合わせし、前記治療室内の前記基準の位置及び前記第1の画像内の前記基準の位置に基づいて前記粒子治療システムに対する前記照射ターゲットの位置を判断するようにプログラムされたコンピュータシステムと、を含み、
前記治療台を移動するための機構が、前記照射ターゲットが前記治療位置にあるように前記照射ターゲットの位置に基づいて前記治療台を移動させるように制御可能であり、
前記患者が、前記第1の画像を取得し、前記治療台を前記治療位置に向けて移動し、前記第2の画像を取得する間、前記治療台上に維持される、治療システム。 - 前記第1の撮像システムが、前記患者及び前記基準の内部画像を取得するように構成され、
前記第2の撮像システムが、前記基準の外部画像を取得するように構成された、請求項16に記載のシステム。 - 前記第1の撮像システムが、放射線画像を取得するX線装置、コンピュータ断層撮影(CT)画像を取得するCT装置、磁気共鳴撮影(MRI)画像を取得するMRI装置、陽電子放出断層撮影(PET)画像を取得するPET装置、ビデオ表面撮像装置によって取得された画像、またはSPECT/CT装置によって取得された画像の1つまたは複数を含む、請求項16に記載のシステム。
- 前記粒子治療システムが、前記治療位置において前記患者を治療するための粒子加速器システムをさらに含み、
