Description
Claims (24)
- 基板と、
前記基板の上に第一の配向で積層されたバッファ層と、
前記バッファ層の上に第二の配向で積層された下地層であって、導電性酸化物を含む前記下地層と、
前記下地層の上に積層され、その表面に対して実質的に垂直な磁気異方性の軸を有する磁気記録層とを含み、前記酸化物はMgHfOであることを特徴とする垂直磁気記録媒体。 - 前記酸化物は、Mgおよび、Ti、Zr、Hfから成るグループより選択される1もしくはそれ以上の要素を含む合金酸化物であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の前記記録媒体。
- 前記酸化物は、Mgを5〜35at%含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の前記記録媒体。
- 前記酸化物は、Mgを15〜25at%含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の前記記録媒体。
- 前記基板の上に積層された第二のバッファ層を更に含み、前記第二のバッファ層はNiTaを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の前記記録媒体。
- 前記NiTaは、DCスパッタリングによって前記基板の上に積層されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の前記記録媒体。
- 前記バッファ層は、Crを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の前記記録媒体。
- 前記Crは(200)配向で積層されることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の記録前記媒体。
- 前記Crは、DCスパッタリングによって積層されることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の前記記録媒体。
- 前記下地層は、(001)配向で前記バッファ層の上に積層されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の前記記録媒体。
- 前記下地層は、DCスパッタリングによって前記バッファ層の上に積層されることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の前記記録媒体。
- 前記磁気記録層は、FePtAgCを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の前記記録媒体。
- 前記磁気記録層は、DCコスパッタリングによって前記下地層の上に積層されることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の前記記録媒体。
- 基板の上にバッファ層を積層し、
前記バッファ層の上に、下地層であって、導電性酸化物を含む前記下地層を積層し、
前記基板および積層された複数の層を加熱し、
前記下地層の上に磁気記録層を積層することを含み、
さらに、前記基板上に第二のバッファ層を積層することと、前記バッファ層を積層するより前に、前記第二のバッファ層の表面を調整することを含むことを特徴とする垂直磁気記録媒体の製造方法。 - 前記酸化物は、Mgおよび、Ti、Zr、Hfから成るグループより選択される1もしくはそれ以上の要素を含む合金酸化物であることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の前記方法。
- 前記酸化物は、Mgを5〜35at%含むことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の前記方法。
- 前記酸化物は、Mgを15〜25at%含むことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の前記方法。
- 前記表面の調整には、あらかじめ定められた時間酸素を添加することと、前記表面に(200)配向でCrを成長させることとを含むことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の前記方法。
- 前記酸化物は、MgTiOxであることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の前記方法。
- 前記酸化物は、MgTiO2であることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の前記方法。
- 前記酸化物は、MgZrO3であることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の前記方法。
- 前記酸化物は、MgHfOであることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の前記方法。
- 前記バッファ層の積層には、(200)配向で前記第二のバッファ層の上にCrを積層することを含むことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の前記方法。
- 前記磁気記録層の積層には、DCコスパッタリングによって前記下地層の上にFePtAgCを積層することを含むことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の前記方法。
