Description
Claims (10)
- 1.2つの光学的に透明な媒体の間で非恒久的受動光結合を行う光学インターフ ェース手段であって、少なくとも一方の媒体が固体である光学インターフェース 手段において、支持部材(3;30)と、それによって支持された光学的に透明 な弾性材料の少なくとも1つの整形体(6;31、32)とを包含し、この整形 体が前記固体媒体あるいは両媒体と弾性的に接触するようになっており、前記弾 性材料が前記両媒体に関して整合した屈折率を有することを特徴とする光学イン ターフェース手段。
- 2.請求の範囲第1項記載の光学インターフェース手段において、前記支持部材 (3;30)が、少なくとも部分的に、光学的に透明であり、前記弾性材料の整 形体(6;31、32)が支持部材の片側あるいは両側に取りつけてあって、支 持部材と共に少なくとも1つの光結合経路を形成していることを特徴とする光学 インターフェース手段。
- 3.請求の範囲第1項または第2項記載の光学インターフェース手段において、 前記支持部材(31;32)を支持するホルダ部材(23)を包含することを特 徴とする光学インターフェース手段。
- 4.請求の範囲第1、2、3項のうちいずれか1つに記載の光学インターフェー ス手段において、前記光学的に透明な媒体がたとえばガラスで作った平らな基板 (10、12)であることを特徴とする光学インターフェース手段。
- 5.請求の範囲第第1項から第4項のうちいずれか1つに記載の光学インターフ ェース手段において、前記透明弾性材料がゴム材料あるいは架橋エラストマーで あることを特徴とする光学インターフェース手段。
- 6.請求の範囲第5項記載の光学インターフェース手段において、前記透明弾性 材料がシリコーンゴムであることを特徴とする光学インターフェース手段。
- 7.請求の範囲第第1項から第6項のうちいずれか1つに記載の光学インターフ ェース手段において、前記支持部材(3;30)がガラス、プラスチックまたは 石英で作ってあることを特徴とする光学インターフェース手段。
- 8.請求の範囲第1項から第7項のうちいずれか1つに記載の光学インターフェ ース手段であり、内面反射ベース・システムにおいてプリズム(10)と少なく とも1つの検知面を有するセンサ・ユニット(12)との間に挿入してプリズム とセンサ・ユニットのドッキングを行うようになっている光学インターフェース 手段において、たとえばガラスで作った透明プレート(30)を包含し、この透 明プレートがその片面に長手方向に平行に延びる隆起(31)を支持しており、 これらの隆起(31)が透明プレートの反対面で長手方向に平行に延びる隆起( 32)と整合しており、これらの隆起(31、32)が、(i)弾性透明材料で 作ってあり、(ii)2つ以上の検知領域の場合に、前記センサ・ユニット(1 2)の定まった検知領域(17A−17D)の間の距離に対応した距離隔たって おり、(iii)入射光線の全横断面をセンサ・ユニットに結合させるに少なく とも充分な長さを有し、(iv)前記検知領域と正反対の側でセンサ・ユニット に押し付けられて光をセンサ・ユニット(12)に送り込むようになっているこ とを特徴とする光学インターフェース手段。
- 9.請求の範囲第8項記載の光学インターフェース手段において、各隆起(31 、32)がその各側に多数の長手方向に延びる段部(33)を有し、一連の階段 状の横断面形状を有する構造を形成しており、その最上方段部が、密閉空気ポケ ットを生じさせることなく、センサ・ユニット(12)に弾力的に押し付けられ 、したがって、プリズム(10)に押し付けられることを特徴とする光学インタ ーフェース手段。
- 10.請求の範囲第1項から第7項のうちいずれか1つに記載の光学インターフ ェース手段を以下の用途に使用すること: −平らな基体についての屈折率測定のためのプリズム・カップラ −伝達、反射、光散乱および吸光度の測定のための光導波ユニットに対する光結 合 −顕微鏡スライドから顕微鏡への結像光結合−顕微鏡作業における基板ガラスお よびカバーガラスに対する結合照明光 −加熱のための赤外線領域における光結合。
