Abstract
Description
本出願は、2013年10月11日に出願された米国仮特許出願第61/890,045号、2013年10月11日に出願された米国仮特許出願第61/890,055号、および2013年10月11日に出願された米国仮出願第61/890,059号に対する権利があり、そしてこれら仮出願に基づく優先権を主張しており、これら仮出願の開示は、各場合において、それらの全体が本明細書中に参考として援用される。
本発明はフォトクロミック光学物品に関し、光学物品は、光学基材と、光学基材の表面上のフォトクロミック層であって、フォトクロミック化合物を含むフォトクロミック層と、フォトクロミック層上の保護層であって、少なくとも1つのアロファネート基を含むエチレン性不飽和ラジカル重合性材料の残基を含むマトリックスを含む保護層と、を含む。
入射光の眼への伝達を減少させる一方、良好な画像品質を与える光学物品は、様々な用途、例えば、サングラス、視力矯正用眼科用レンズ、平レンズおよびファッションレンズ、例えば、度の付かないレンズおよび度付きレンズ、スポーツマスク、遮光保護面、ゴーグル、バイザー、カメラレンズ、光学窓、自動車用フロントガラス、ならびに航空機および自動車用透明物、例えば、Tルーフ、側灯およびバックライトに必要とされている。
本発明によれば、(i)光学基材と、(ii)光学基材の表面上のフォトクロミック層であって、フォトクロミック化合物を含むフォトクロミック層と、(iii)フォトクロミック層上の保護層であって、少なくとも1つのアロファネート基を含むエチレン性不飽和ラジカル重合性材料の残基を含むマトリックスを含む保護層と、を含むフォトクロミック光学物品が提供される。
本明細書で使用する場合、「光学の」、「光学的に透明な」という用語、および類似の用語は、特定された材料(基材、膜、コーティングなど)が、少なくとも4パーセントの光透過率値を示し(入射光を透過し)、例えば、Haze Gard Plus Instrumentによって550ナノメートルで測定した場合、1パーセント未満のヘイズ値(例えば、0.5パーセント未満のヘイズ値)を示すことを意味する。

Claims (18)
- フォトクロミック光学物品であって、
(i)光学基材と、
(ii)前記光学基材の表面上のフォトクロミック層であって、フォトクロミック化合物を含むフォトクロミック層と、
(iii)前記フォトクロミック層上の保護層であって、少なくとも1つのアロファネート基を含むエチレン性不飽和ラジカル重合性材料の残基を含むマトリックスを含む保護層と、を含むフォトクロミック光学物品。 - 該フォトクロミック層がウレタン結合を含むマトリックスを含む、請求項1に記載のフォトクロミック光学物品。
- 前記フォトクロミック層の前記フォトクロミック化合物が、インデノ縮合ナフトピラン、ナフト[1,2−b]ピラン、ナフト[2,1−b]ピラン、スピロフルオレノ[1,2−b]ピラン、フェナントロピラン、キノリノピラン、フルオロアンテノピラン、スピロピラン、ベンゾオキサジン、ナフトオキサジン、スピロ(インドリン)ナフトオキサジン、スピロ(インドリン)ピリドベンゾオキサジン、スピロ(インドリン)フルオランテノキサジン、スピロ(インドリン)キノキサジン、フルギド、フルグイミド(fulgimide)、ジアリールエテン、ジアリールアルキルエテン、およびジアリールアルケニルエテン、ならびにこれらの2つまたはそれを超える組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載のフォトクロミック光学物品。
- 前記保護層の前記マトリックスが、アミノプラスト材料の残基をさらに含む、請求項1に記載のフォトクロミック光学物品。

- 前記光学基材の表面と前記フォトクロミック層との間に挟入されているか、または
前記フォトクロミック層上にある、偏光層をさらに含む、請求項1に記載のフォトクロミック光学物品。 - フォトクロミック光学物品が、フォトクロミック眼科用物品である、請求項1に記載のフォトクロミック光学物品。
- フォトクロミック光学物品を調製する方法であって、
(a)光学基材の表面上に硬化性フォトクロミックコーティング組成物を塗布する工程であって、それにより、前記光学基材の前記表面上に硬化性フォトクロミック層を形成し、前記硬化性フォトクロミックコーティング組成物がフォトクロミック化合物を含む、工程、
(b)前記硬化性フォトクロミック層を少なくとも部分的に硬化する工程であって、それにより、前記光学基材の前記表面上に少なくとも部分的に硬化されたフォトクロミック層を形成する、工程、
(c)前記少なくとも部分的に硬化されたフォトクロミック層上に硬化性保護コーティング組成物を塗布する工程であって、それにより、前記少なくとも部分的に硬化されたフォトクロミック層上に硬化性保護層を形成することであって、前記硬化性保護コーティング組成物が少なくとも1つのアロファネート基を含むエチレン性不飽和ラジカル重合性材料を含む、工程、および
(d)前記硬化性保護層を少なくとも部分的に硬化する工程であって、それにより、前記少なくとも部分的に硬化されたフォトクロミック層上に少なくとも部分的に硬化された保護層を形成する、工程、を含む方法。 - 前記硬化性フォトクロミック層が、高温に暴露されることにより少なくとも部分的に硬化され、
前記硬化性保護層が、化学線に暴露されることにより少なくとも部分的に硬化される、請求項9に記載の方法。 - 前記少なくとも部分的に硬化されたフォトクロミック層が、ウレタン結合を含むマトリックスを含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記硬化性フォトクロミックコーティング組成物の前記フォトクロミック化合物が、インデノ縮合ナフトピラン、ナフト[1,2−b]ピラン、ナフト[2,1−b]ピラン、スピロフルオレノ[1,2−b]ピラン、フェナントロピラン、キノリノピラン、フルオロアンテノピラン、スピロピラン、ベンゾオキサジン、ナフトオキサジン、スピロ(インドリン)ナフトオキサジン、スピロ(インドリン)ピリドベンゾオキサジン、スピロ(インドリン)フルオランテノキサジン、スピロ(インドリン)キノキサジン、フルギド、フルグイミド、ジアリールエテン、ジアリールアルキルエテン、およびジアリールアルケニルエテン、ならびにこれらの2つまたはそれを超える組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項9に記載の方法。

- 前記硬化性保護コーティング組成物が、前記硬化性保護コーティング組成物の総重量に基づき、95重量%〜100重量%の固形分含有量を有する、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 硬化性ハードコートコーティング組成物を前記少なくとも部分的に硬化された保護層上に塗布する工程であって、それにより、前記少なくとも部分的に硬化された保護層上に硬化性ハードコート層を形成する、工程、および
前記硬化性ハードコート層を少なくとも部分的に硬化する工程であって、それにより、前記少なくとも部分的に硬化された保護層上に少なくとも部分的に硬化されたハードコート層を形成する、工程をさらに含む、請求項9に記載の方法。 - 前記光学基材の前記表面と前記少なくとも部分的に硬化されたフォトクロミック層との間に挟入されているか、または
