Abstract

Claims (42)
- 電気化学セルであって、筐体と、正電極、負電極および電極間に配置されたセパレータを備える電極アセンブリと、電解質とを備え、
前記筐体が、
電極アセンブリおよび電解質が配置されている、開放端を持つ容器と、
電極アセンブリと筐体の開放端との間に配置された集電体アセンブリと、
を備え、
前記集電体アセンブリが、
最初の開口を規定する保持装置と
2番目の開口を規定する周辺フランジを備えた接触ばねと、
前記最初と2番目の開口は圧力解放チャネルを規定するが、
保持装置と接触ばねとの間に配置された周辺部分を有し、圧力解放チャネルを閉じている圧力解放通気部材と
を備え、
前記圧力解放通気部材が少なくとも規定した解放圧力の大きさの内部セル圧力に反応して破れ、それによって物質を保持装置の最初の開口を通じて逃がすことができる、前記電気化学セル。 - 圧力解放通気部材が金属、高分子化合物およびこれらの混合物の群から選択した組成の少なくとも最初の層を備える、請求項1に記載のセル。
- 圧力解放通気部材が厚さ0.254 mmあるいはそれより薄い、請求項1に記載のセル。
- 保持装置、接触ばねの周辺フランジ、圧力解放通気部材の周辺部分が協力して集電体アセンブリ内の電解質密封を形成する、請求項1に記載のセル。
- 接触ばねの周辺フランジが連続した環形を形成する、請求項4に記載のセル。
- 圧力解放通気部材が 11.81 g・mm(日mm2)より小さい電解質の蒸気透過率を有する最初の層を備える、請求項1に記載のセル。
- 圧力解放通気部材が、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリブチレンテレフタレート、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、エチレンアクリル酸、エチレンメタアクリル酸、ポリエチレン、メタアクリル酸およびこれらの混合物を含む群から選択した組成から成る2番目の層を備える、請求項2に記載のセル。
- 圧力解放通気部材が3番目の層を備え、最初の層が2番目の層と3番目の層との間に配置され、3番目の層がポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリブチレンテレフタレート、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、エチレンアクリル酸、エチレンメタアクリル酸、ポリエチレンメタアクリル酸およびこれらの混合物を含む群から選択した組成から成る、請求項7に記載のセル。
- 最初の層がアルミニウムから成る、請求項8に記載のセル。
- 集電体アセンブリが容器に対して配置された最初のガスケットを備え、前記ガスケット、保持装置、接触ばねおよび圧力解放通気部材が一緒に圧縮されてそれにより保持装置と接触ばねとの間の密封を提供する、請求項1に記載のセル。
- 集電体アセンブリが、保持装置と少なくとも接触ばねあるいは圧力解放通気部材のいずれかとの間に配置された2番目のガスケットを備える、請求項1に記載のセル。
- 接触ばねの周辺フランジが最初の開口の周りの連続的なフランジを備え、前記連続的なフランジがその上に連続的な突起部を有する、請求項1に記載のセル。
- 前記保持装置および圧力解放通気部材が一緒に結合されている、請求項1に記載のセル。
- 前記接触ばねと圧力解放通気部材とが一緒に結合されている、請求項12に記載のセル。
- 前記圧力解放通気部材が20℃から25℃の温度範囲で、10.5 kg/cm2 から 42.3 kg/cm2の圧力範囲で破れる、請求項1に記載のセル。
- 前記圧力解放通気部材がアルミニウムを含む組成の層を備え、前記圧力解放通気部材が0.254 mmの最大厚さを有する、請求項1に記載のセル。
- 圧力解放通気部材が、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリブチレンテレフタレート、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、エチレンアクリル酸、エチレンメタアクリル酸、ポリエチレンメタアクリル酸およびこれらの混合物を含む群から選択した組成から成る2番目および3番目の層を備える、請求項16に記載のセル。
- 前記セルがさらに接触端子と、前記接触端子と保持装置との間に配置された正の温度係
数素子を備える、請求項17に記載のセル。 - 正電極がFeS2を含み、負電極がリチウム金属を含む、請求項18に記載のセル。
- 前記保持装置が実質的に円形の周辺の縁を有する、請求項19に記載のセル。
- 筐体が円筒形である、請求項20に記載のセル。
- 電気化学セルであって、筐体と、正電極、負電極および電極間に配置されたセパレータを備える電極アセンブリと、電解質とを備え、
前記筐体が、
電極アセンブリと電解質とが配置されている、開放端を持つ容器と、
電極アセンブリと筐体の開放端との間に配置された集電体アセンブリと
を備え、
前記集電体アセンブリが、
最初の開口を規定する保持装置と、
2番目の開口を規定する周辺フランジを備えた接触ばねと、
前記最初と2番目の開口は圧力解放チャネルを規定するが、
保持装置と接触ばねとの間に配置された周辺部分を持ち、最初の開口と2番目の開口との間の圧力解放チャネルを閉じている圧力解放通気部材と
を備え、
前記圧力解放部材が少なくとも規定の解放圧力の大きさの内部セル圧力に反応して破れ、それによって物質が保持装置の最初の開口を通って逃げることができ、
保持装置と接触ばねフランジが圧力解放部材と協力して圧力解放部材と保持装置との間の密封を形成する、前記電気化学セル。 - 前記圧力解放通気部材の破裂圧力が20℃から25℃の温度範囲で、10.5 kg/cm2 から 42.3 kg/cm2の圧力範囲である、請求項22に記載のセル。
- 圧力解放通気部材が金属、高分子化合物およびこれらの混合物の群から選択した組成の少なくとも最初の層を備える、請求項22に記載のセル。
- 前記圧力解放通気部材の最初の層がアルミニウムから成る、請求項24に記載のセル。
- 圧力解放通気部材が、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリブチレンテレフタレート、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、エチレンアクリル酸、エチレンメタアクリル酸、ポリエチレンメタアクリル酸およびこれらの混合物を含む群から選択した組成から成る2番目の層を備える、請求項25に記載のセル。
- 圧力解放通気部材が3番目の層を備え、最初の層が2番目の層と3番目の層との間に配置され、3番目の層がポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリブチレンテレフタレート、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、エチレンアクリル酸、エチレンメタアクリル酸、ポリエチレンメタアクリル酸およびこれらの混合物を含む群から選択した組成から成る、請求項26に記載のセル。
- 前記2番目の層がポリエチレンから成り、3番目の層がポリエチレンから成る、請求項27に記載のセル。
- 接触ばねの周辺フランジが最初の開口の周りの連続的なフランジから成り、前記連続的なフランジがその上に連続的な突起部を有する、請求項22に記載のセル。
- 前記保持装置が圧力解放通気部材および接触ばねに圧縮力を加える折り曲げを有する、請求項22に記載のセル。
- 前記保持装置が圧力解放通気部材の周辺部および接触ばねの周辺フランジに圧縮力を加える折り曲げを有する、請求項29に記載のセル。
- 前記集電体アセンブリがさらに接触端子と、ガスケットと、前記接触端子と保持装置との間に配置された正の温度係数素子を備える、請求項31に記載のセル。
- 前記保持装置と圧力解放通気部材とが一緒に結合されている、請求項32に記載のセル。
- 正電極がFeS2を含み、負電極がリチウム金属を含む、請求項33に記載のセル。
- 前記保持装置が実質的に円形の周辺の縁を有する、請求項33に記載のセル。
- 筐体が円筒形である、請求項33に記載のセル。

保持装置と接触ばねとの間に配置された周辺部分を持ち、最初の開口と2番目の開口との間に配置された圧力解放チャネルを閉じている圧力解放部材と、
前記圧力解放部材は少なくとも規定の解放圧力の大きさの内部セル圧力に反応して破れ、それによって物質が保持装置の最初の開口を通って逃げることができるが、
圧力解放部材と保持装置との間の密封手段とを
備えた、前記電気化学セル。 - 前記密封手段が保持装置、接触ばね、および圧力解放通気部材の周辺部分の協力により生じる圧縮力を備える、請求項37に記載のセル。
- 前記密封手段が、接触ばねの周辺フランジおよび圧力解放通気部材の周辺部分に対する保持装置における折り曲げを備える、請求項38に記載のセル。
- 圧力解放通気部材と保持装置との間の圧縮力が減少したとき、集電体アセンブリが圧力解放通気部材と保持装置との間の密封を維持するための手段を備える、請求項39に記載のセル。
- 圧力解放通気部材と保持装置との間の密封を維持するための手段が、2番目の開口の周りを完全に囲む、接触ばねの周辺フランジ内に、連続的な突起を含む、請求項40に記載のセル。
- 正電極がFeS2を含み、負電極がリチウム金属を含む、請求項37に記載のセル。
