Abstract
【解決手段】 正極と負極とをセパレータを介して対向させてなる電極体と、該電極体を収容する外装缶と、該外装缶の開口部を封口する封口板とを有する扁平形非水電解液二次電池であって、上記正極は、金属リチウムを対極として測定される開路電圧が3.5V以上であり、上記封口板が正極端子を兼ね、上記外装缶が負極端子を兼ねており、上記封口板の内面が、アルミニウムまたはアルミニウム合金で構成されていることを特徴とする扁平形非水電解液二次電池により、上記課題を解決する。

Description
<正極の作製>
正極活物質であるLiCoO2と、導電助剤であるカーボンブラックと、バインダであるPVDFとを、質量比で、LiCoO2:カーボンブラック:PVDF=85:10:5の割合で混合して正極合剤を調製した。この正極合剤を加圧成形して、直径8mm、厚み0.7mmの正極を作製した。この正極は、金属リチウムを対極としたときに測定される開路電圧が3.5V以上となるものである。
負極活物質であるチタン酸リチウム(Li1.33Ti1.67O4)と、導電助剤であるカーボンブラックおよび黒鉛と、バインダであるPTFEとを、質量比で、チタン酸リチウム:カーボンブラック:黒鉛:PTFE=85:5:5:5の割合で混合して負極合剤を調製した。この負極合剤を加圧成形して、直径8.5mm、厚み0.7mmの負極を作製した。
封口板と外装缶と環状パッキングとからなる密閉空間内に、上記の正極と上記の負極とを、セパレータを介して対向させてなる電極体と、非水電解液とを収容して、図3に示す構造で直径12.5mm、高さ2.0mmの扁平形非水電解液二次電池を作製した。
正極端子となる封口板に、アルミニウム側を内側となるようにし、その周縁部に折り返し部を有する形状に成形したものを用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にして、図2に示す構造の扁平形非水電解液二次電池を作製した。
図1に示す構造の扁平形非水電解液二次電池を作製した。封口板1には、表面にニッケルメッキを施したステンレス鋼を、周縁部に折り返し部を有する形状に成形したものを用い、これを負極端子とした。また、外装缶2には、アルミニウム22とステンレス鋼21との積層金属からなるクラッド材を、アルミニウム22が内側となるように成形したものを用い、これを正極端子とした。そして、正極3、セパレータ4、負極5、および非水電解液には、実施例1で用いたのと同じものを用いた。すなわち、比較例1の電池は、実施例1および2の電池と、正極・負極の位置が反転していることになる。

Claims (4)
- 正極と負極とをセパレータを介して対向させてなる電極体と、該電極体を収容する外装缶と、該外装缶の開口部を封口する封口板とを有する扁平形非水電解液二次電池であって、
上記正極は、金属リチウムを対極として測定される開路電圧が3.5V以上であり、
上記封口板が正極端子を兼ね、上記外装缶が負極端子を兼ねており、
上記封口板の内面が、アルミニウムまたはアルミニウム合金で構成されていることを特徴とする扁平形非水電解液二次電池。 - 封口板が、アルミニウムまたはアルミニウム合金とステンレス鋼または鉄とのクラッド材で構成されている請求項1に記載の扁平形非水電解液二次電池。
- 封口板は、その周縁部において、封口板上面から一段下がった肩部を有し、かつ上記肩部から下方に延びて、その下端縁で終わる壁部を有する請求項1または2に記載の扁平形非水電解液二次電池。
- フッ素原子含有リチウム塩を有機溶媒に溶解させてなる非水電解液を有する請求項3に記載の扁平形非水電解液二次電池。
