Con la llegada de Internet, la industria de los
medios de impresión ha tenido la oportunidad de publicar "en
línea" en vez de producir y distribuir publicaciones
tradicionales basadas en papel. La publicación en línea tiene una
serie de ventajas. Desde el punto de vista del consumidor, la
información está disponible bajo demanda, puede navegarse por la
información a través de enlaces de hipertexto, la información puede
buscarse y la información puede personalizarse automáticamente.
Desde el punto de vista del editor, se eliminan los costes de
impresión y distribución física y la publicación se hace más
atractiva para los anunciantes ya que puede dirigirse a grupos
demográficos específicos y vincularse a los lugares del
producto.
La publicación en línea tiene también
desventajas. Las pantallas de ordenador son inferiores al papel.
Para la misma calidad que una página de una revista, una pantalla
SVGA de ordenador muestra sólo la quinta parte de información. Tanto
las pantallas TRC (Tubos de Rayos Catódicos) como LCD (Pantallas de
Cristal Líquido) tienen problemas de brillo y contraste, en
particular cuando la luz ambiente es intensa. La tinta sobre papel,
al ser reflectante en vez de emisora, es brillante y nítida en luz
ambiente. En consecuencia, la gente tiene una preferencia natural a
leer periódicos, revistas, catálogos, folletos y otras
publicaciones en un formato basado en papel encuadernado.
Las impresoras digitales conocidas, y en
particular las impresoras digitales de inyección, no prevén en
ningún modo la encuadernación junto con las páginas de medios
impresos. Dicha configuración proporcionaría de forma cómoda
producción de documentos encuadernados en el entorno de la oficina
pequeña/oficina en casa (SOHO). También permitiría superar algunos
de los inconvenientes existentes de la publicación en línea.

describe un aparato y un procedimiento para impresión variable y
encuadernación selectiva de hojas. Se usa una impresora para
imprimir conjuntos variables de información en una pluralidad de
hojas, ordenar las hojas impresas y reunir las hojas impresas en
una pila. Hojas concretas de las pilas de las hojas impresas se
encuadernan selectivamente usando un dispositivo de encuadernación
independiente. La encuadernación se realiza usando un tóner u otro
adhesivo aplicado selectivamente a las hojas. Esto permite la
impresión y encuadernación de diferentes cuadernillos a partir de
una pila reunida de hojas, por ejemplo, sin tener que retirar cada
cuadernillo de la pila y encuadernarlo por separado.
Es un objeto de la presente invención
proporcionar una forma alternativa de la producción de medios
impresos a partir de impresoras digitales usadas en un entorno
doméstico o comercial. En consecuencia, la presente invención
proporciona una impresora digital para imprimir páginas separadas
de los medios, en la que la impresora incluye:
un marco de soporte;
un cabezal de impresión y una bandeja montada
sobre el marco de soporte;
caracterizada porque la impresora comprende
además:
un elemento de encuadernación de páginas en el
marco de soporte, para encuadernar las páginas de los medios
impresos; y
expulsión de las páginas encuadernadas a la
bandeja.
Preferentemente, la encuadernación supone adherir
las páginas con cola, sin embargo se valorará que otras formas de la
invención incluyen elemento de encuadernación para encuadernar
páginas en espiral o con grapas.
En algunas formas de la invención, el elemento de
encuadernación incluye una rueda de cola para aplicar cola a un
borde de una página de medios, o una tira de cola recíproca para
aplicar cola a un borde de una página de medios.
En otra forma preferida más, la impresora incluye
dos motores de impresión, cada uno con un cabezal de impresión. En
una forma particularmente preferida, la impresora incluye una
trayectoria de papel, estando montados los motores de impresión en
configuración secuencial en línea opuesta a lo largo de la
trayectoria del papel.
La impresora incluye típicamente una estructura
de rodillos motorizada para arrastrar páginas de medios a los
motores de impresión y, opcionalmente, la página de medios pasa
desde los motores de impresión al elemento de encuadernación.
Se observará que la presente invención permitirá
la producción de material impreso en la forma tradicionalmente
atractiva de un documento encuadernado, en vez de páginas
separadas. Con la ayuda de las impresoras modernas y de la
tecnología de redes informáticas, la invención tiene muchas
aplicaciones en publicación en línea de periódicos, revistas,
folletos, etc. La presente invención se describirá con especial
referencia al sistema de página en red. A continuación se
proporciona una visión general de este sistema. Se ha desarrollado
para permitir que un número amplio de usuarios distribuidos pueda
interaccionar con información en red a través de material impreso y
sensores ópticos, con lo que se obtiene material impreso
interactivo bajo demanda a partir de impresoras en color de alta
velocidad conectadas en red.
Para este fin, el solicitante ha desarrollado una
serie de impresoras de páginas en red. De ellas, la impresora mural
está diseñada para montaje mural en la zona en la que el usuario
normalmente primero consume las noticias de la mañana como, por
ejemplo, la cocina o junto a la mesa del desayuno. A la luz de lo
anterior, se espera que la impresora mural sea una de las
impresoras de páginas en red más ampliamente usadas y, por tanto,
se describirá en detalle más adelante para ilustrar una forma de
realización específica de la invención. Sin embargo, se observará
que se trata meramente de un ejemplo de la invención, que puede
realizarse en otras muchas formas.

En la forma de realización preferida, la
invención se configura para funcionar con el sistema de páginas en
red, del que se ofrece a continuación una visión general. El
sistema se describe en esta memoria descriptiva para reducir la
necesidad de referencias externas cuando se intente comprender el
contexto en el que operan las formas de realización preferidas y
los aspectos de la presente invención.
En su forma preferida, el sistema de páginas en
red se basa en la producción de, y la interacción humana con,
páginas en red. Éstas son páginas de texto, gráficos e imágenes
impresas en papel corriente, pero que funcionan como páginas Web
interactivas. La información está codificada en cada página usando
tinta, que es sustancialmente invisible para el ojo humano sin
ayuda. Sin embargo, la tinta, y por tanto la información
codificada, puede detectarse mediante un lápiz óptico (el lápiz de
páginas en red) y transmitirse al sistema de páginas en red.
En la forma preferida, puede pulsarse en los
botones activos e hiperenlaces de cada página con el lápiz de
páginas en red para solicitar información de la red o para marcar
preferencias a un servidor de red. En una forma de realización, el
texto escrito a mano en una página en red se reconoce
automáticamente mediante el lápiz, permitiendo rellenar
formularios. En otras formas de realización, se verifican
automáticamente las firmas registradas en una página en red,
permitiendo autorizar de forma segura transacciones de comercio
electrónico.
El lápiz de páginas en red actúa conjuntamente
con una impresora de páginas en red, un equipo conectado a Internet
para el hogar, la oficina o uso móvil. El lápiz es inalámbrico y se
comunica de forma segura con la impresora de páginas en red
mediante un enlace de radio de corto alcance.
La impresora de páginas en red suministra,
periódicamente o bajo demanda, periódicos, revistas, catálogos,
folletos y otras publicaciones personalizadas, todos impresos con
alta calidad como páginas en red interactivas. A diferencia de un
ordenador personal, la impresora de páginas en red es un equipo que
puede, por ejemplo, montarse en una zona adyacente a aquélla en que
se consumen primero las noticias de la mañana, como la cocina del
usuario, junto a la mesa del desayuno o en el punto de salida del
hogar durante el día. También se proporciona en versiones de
sobremesa, escritorio, portátil y en miniatura.
Las páginas en red impresas en su punto de
consumo combinan el fácil uso del papel con el carácter ilimitado y
la interactividad de un medio interactivo.
El sistema de páginas en red se hace
considerablemente más cómodo debido a la superioridad funcional de
las impresoras de páginas en red. En el núcleo de estas impresoras
hay cabezales de impresión de inyección (Memjet^{TM}) basados en
sistema microelectromecánico (MEMS) de alta velocidad descritos en
varias solicitudes pendientes de tramitación y presentadas
conjuntamente de la lista anterior. En la forma preferida de esta
tecnología, la impresión de alta calidad y relativamente alta
velocidad se hace más asequible para los consumidores. En su forma
preferida, una publicación de páginas en red tiene las
características físicas de una revista tradicional, como un
conjunto de páginas satinadas de tamaño carta a todo color en ambas
caras, encuadernadas conjuntamente para una fácil navegación y un
manejo cómodo.
Una impresora de páginas en red imprime páginas
de imágenes de calidad fotográfica y texto con calidad de revista a
una velocidad de más de 30 hojas a doble cara por minuto (es decir,
más de 60 páginas por minuto). Existe en una diversidad de formas,
que incluyen versiones murales, versiones de sobremesa, versiones
portátiles y versiones de bolsillo. Dada la naturaleza del sistema
de páginas en red, se contempla que una de las formas más
relevantes comercialmente de impresoras de páginas en red será la
versión mural, referida como impresora mural. Por comodidad, la
presente invención se describirá en detalle haciendo referencia a
esta versión específica mostrada en los dibujos anexos.
La impresora mural 600 de páginas en red montada
verticalmente se muestra totalmente ensamblada en las Figuras 1 y 2.
Como se muestra mejor en las Figuras 2, 2a y 19, imprime páginas en
red en medios de tamaño A4 usando motores 602 y 603 de impresión
Memjet^{TM} duplicados de 21,6 cm (8 ½''). Usa una trayectoria de
papel recta con el papel 604 pasando a través de motores 602 y 603
de impresión duplicados que imprimen simultáneamente ambas caras de
una hoja, a todo color y con sangrado completo. Un procesador de
imágenes en tramas (RIP) multi-DSP pixeliza las
páginas en la memoria interna, y un par de controladores de motores
de impresión personalizados extienden, difunden e imprimen las
imágenes de la página en los cabezales de impresión duplicados en
tiempo real.
Una estructura 605 de encuadernación integral
aplica una tira de cola a lo largo de un borde de cada hoja impresa,
permitiendo que se adhiera a la hoja anterior cuando se presiona
contra ella. Esto crea un documento 618 final encuadernado que
puede tener un grosor variable entre una hoja y varios centenares de
hojas. La estructura de encuadernación se considerará en gran
detalle más adelante, haciendo referencia en particular a las
Figuras 13, 14 y 15.
En referencia a las Figuras 1 a 9, la impresora
mural 600 consiste en un chasis 606 principal, que da cabida a todos
los componentes y estructuras importantes. Como se muestra mejor en
la Figura 8, tiene una bandeja 607 de medios pivotante en la parte
delantera superior, que está cubierta por una moldura 608 delantera
y una moldura 609 de mango. La moldura 608 delantera, la moldura 609
de mango y la moldura 610 delantera inferior pueden variar en
color, textura y acabado para hacer el producto más atractivo para
los consumidores. Simplemente se acoplan en la parte delantera de la
impresora mural 600.
Las Figuras 10 y 11 muestran el sistema eléctrico
de la impresora mural aislado. Una placa 611 de circuito impreso
flexible (PCB flexible) discurre desde la bandeja 607 de soportes a
la PCB principal 612. Incluye cuatro LED de diferentes colores 613,
614, 615 y 616 y un botón pulsador 617. Los LED se ven a través de
la moldura delantera e indican "encendido" 613, "sin
tinta" 614, "sin papel" 615, y "error" 616. El botón
pulsador 617 obtiene "ayuda" impresa en forma de instrucciones
de uso, información sobre el estado de la impresora y los
consumibles y un directorio de recursos en la red de páginas en
red.
Los documentos 618 impresos encuadernados salen a
través de la base de la impresora mural 600 en una bandeja 619 de
recogida extraíble, transparente y de plástico. Sobre ésta se habla
con mayor detalle más adelante haciendo referencia a la Figura
15.
La impresora mural 600 está alimentada por una
fuente de alimentación interna de 110V/220V 620 y tiene una placa
621 de montura metálica que está fija a una pared o a una
superficie vertical estable mediante cuatro tornillos. Los detalles
de la ranura 622 en U embebida en la placa 621 metálica permiten
enganchar en la placa las cuatro espigas montadas sobre la parte
posterior de la impresora. Como se muestra mejor en las Figuras 2 y
19, se evita que la impresora mural 600 se levante mediante un
tornillo que sitúa la moldura 606 del chasis en la placa 621 en una
posición dispuesta detrás de la bandeja 607 de medios.
En referencia a las Figuras 16 y 17, el lateral
de la impresora mural 600 incluye un hueco 624 de módulos que aloja
un módulo 625 de interfaz de red que permite conectar la impresora
a la red de páginas en red y a un ordenador o red locales. El
módulo 625 de interfaz puede seleccionarse e instalarse en fábrica o
sobre el terreno para proporcionar las interfaces requeridas por el
usuario. Los módulos pueden tener opciones de conector comunes,
como: conexión IEEE 1394 (Firewire), conexión de puerto de impresora
Centronics estándar o una conexión combinada de USB2 649 y Ethernet
650. Esto permite al consumidor conectar la impresora mural 600 a un
ordenador o usarla como impresora en red. La Figura 17 muestra la
estructura en despiece ordenado del módulo 625. La PCB 651 del
módulo de interfaz (con tiras de borde de contacto de oro) se
enchufa directamente en la PCB 612 principal de la impresora mural a
través de un conector 654 de borde. Las diferentes configuraciones
de conectores se alojan en el diseño de los módulos mediante el uso
de una herramienta 652 de inserción. Los rebajes para los dedos 653
de ambos lados del módulo 625 permiten una fácil inserción o
retirada manual.
Pasando a la Figura 19, la PCB 612 principal está
unida a la parte posterior del chasis 606. La placa 612 se
interconecta a través de la moldura del chasis 606 al módulo 625 de
interfaz. La PCB 612 también contiene los elementos electrónicos
periféricos necesarios para los cabezales de impresión Memjet^{TM}
705. Esto incluye una UCP principal con dos DRAM de 32MB, memoria
flash, chip de interfaz IEEE 1394, seis controladores de motor,
varios conectores de sensor, conector de borde de PCB del módulo de
interfaz, administración de potencia, conectores de datos
internos/externos y un chip QA.
La Figura 8 muestra el acceso a la compuerta
delantera al papel 604 y el cartucho 627 de tinta. En referencia a
la Figura 18, el papel 604 se coloca en una bandeja 607 superior
con bisagras y se presiona hacia abajo sobre una platina 666 con
muelles. Se monta la bandeja 607 en el chasis 606 mediante bisagras
700. Cada bisagra tiene una base, una palanca de bisagra y un
lateral de bisagra. Los pivotes en la base y la bandeja 607 de
papel/medios engranan con la palanca y el lateral, de manera que la
bandeja 607 de papel/medios gira de modo que evita doblar los tubos
646 flexibles de suministro.
El papel 604 se coloca debajo de las guías 667 de
borde antes de cerrarse y se registra automáticamente a un lado de
la bandeja 607 por acción de una pieza 668 de muelle metálico. Un
cartucho 627 de tinta se conecta en una moldura 628 de conector de
tinta pivotante a través de una serie de 629 conectores de
autosellado. Los conectores 629 transmiten tinta, aire y cola a sus
posiciones separadas. La moldura 628 de conector de tinta contiene
un sensor, que detecta un chip QA en el cartucho de tinta y
verifica la identificación antes de impresión. Cuando la compuerta
delantera se detecta como cerrada, un mecanismo de liberación hace
que la platina 666 con muelles empuje el papel 604 contra una
estructura 626 de rodillo motorizada de recogida de medios.
La Figura 4 muestra la estructura completa del
cartucho 627 de tinta reemplazable. Tiene cámaras para guardar el
fijador 644, el adhesivo 630 y las tintas cian 631, magenta 632,
amarilla 633, negra 634 e infrarroja 635. El cartucho 627 también
contiene un microfiltro 636 de aire en una moldura 637 de base. Como
se muestra en la Figura 9, el microfiltro 636 de aire se
interconecta con una bomba 638 de aire dentro de la impresora a
través de un tubo 639 flexible. Esto proporciona aire filtrado a
los cabezales 705 de impresión para evitar la entrada de
micropartículas en los cabezales 705 de impresión Memjet^{TM} que
pueden obstruir las boquillas. Al incorporar el filtro 636 de aire
dentro del cartucho 627, la vida operativa del filtro está ligada
eficazmente a la vida del cartucho. Esto asegura que el filtro se
sustituya junto con el cartucho, en vez de que el usuario tenga que
limpiar y sustituir el filtro en los intervalos requeridos. Además,
la tinta adhesiva e infrarroja se rellena junto con las tintas
visibles y el filtro del aire, lo que reduce la frecuencia con que
se interrumpe el funcionamiento de la impresora debido al
agotamiento de un material consumible.
El cartucho 627 tiene una delgada caja 640 de
pared. Las cámaras 631 a 635 de tinta y la cámara 644 de fijador
están suspendidas dentro de la caja por un pasador 645 que engancha
conjuntamente el cartucho. La única cámara 630 de adhesivo se sitúa
en la moldura 637 de base. Éste es un producto totalmente
reciclable con capacidad para imprimir y encolar 3.000 páginas
(1.500 hojas).
En referencia a las Figuras 2, 2a, 10, 11 y 19,
la estructura 626 motorizada de recogida de medios empuja la hoja
superior directamente desde la bandeja 607 de medios después de un
sensor de papel (no mostrado) en el primer motor 602 de impresión
en la estructura de cabezales de impresión Memjet^{TM}
duplicados.
Dos motores 602 y 603 de impresión Memjet^{TM}
están montados en una configuración secuencial en línea en oposición
a lo largo de la trayectoria recta del papel. El papel 604 es
arrastrado en el primer motor 602 de impresión por rodillos 626 de
recogida impulsados integrales. Se detectan la posición y el tamaño
del papel 604 y comienza la impresión con sangrado completo.
El fijador se imprime simultáneamente para ayudar
al secado en el menor tiempo posible.
Como se muestra mejor en la Figura 2a, los
motores 602 y 603 de impresión Memjet^{TM} incluyen un dispositivo
669 giratorio de tapa, secante y platina. El dispositivo de tapa
sella los cabezales 705 de impresión Memjet^{TM} cuando no están
en uso. Destapa y gira para producir un secante integral, que se usa
para absorber la tinta eyectada desde los cabezales 705 de
impresión durante el mantenimiento de arranque sistemático de la
impresora. Mueve simultáneamente un dispositivo de tapa interno
dentro del cabezal 705 de impresión Memjet^{TM} que permite el
flujo de aire en la zona de blindaje de la boquilla protectora. La
tercera rotación del dispositivo mueve una superficie de platina a
su lugar, que sostiene una cara de la hoja 604 durante la
impresión.
El papel sale del motor 602 de impresión
Memjet^{TM} a través de un conjunto de ruedas de dientes rígidos
(alineadas a lo largo de la trayectoria recta del papel), que actúa
contra un rodillo engomado. Estas ruedas de dientes rígidos entran
en contacto con la superficie impresa "húmeda" y siguen
alimentando la hoja 604 en el segundo motor 603 de impresión
Memjet^{TM}.
Este segundo motor 603 de impresión está montado
de forma opuesta al primero para imprimir la cara inferior de la
hoja 604.
Como se muestra en las Figuras 2, 2a, 9, 13 y 14,
el papel 604 pasa desde los motores 602 y 603 de impresión
duplicados a la estructura 605 de encuadernadora. La página impresa
pasa entre un eje 670 de rueda de dientes rígidos con un rodillo de
soporte fibroso y otro eje móvil con ruedas de dientes rígidos y
una rueda 673 de cola de acción momentánea. La estructura 673 de
eje/cola movible está montada sobre una brida de soporte metálico y
se transporta hacia delante para interconectarse con el eje 670
impulsado por la acción de un árbol de levas 642. Un motor 675
separado alimenta este árbol de levas. Ambos motores 676 están
controlados por los cabezales de impresión Memjet^{TM}.
La estructura 673 de rueda de cola consiste en un
eje 679 parcialmente hueco con un acoplamiento 680 giratorio para el
tubo 641 flexible de suministro de cola desde el cartucho 627 de
tinta. Este eje 679 se conecta con una rueda 681 de cola, que
absorbe el adhesivo por acción capilar a través de orificios
radiales. Una carcasa moldeada rodea a la rueda 681 de cola, con una
abertura delante. Las molduras 683 laterales pivotantes y las
puertas 684 exteriores con muelles están unidas a la brida de
soporte metálico y la bisagra en los laterales cuando el resto de la
estructura 673 se impulsa hacia delante. Esta acción deja al
descubierto la rueda 681 de cola a través de la parte delantera de
la carcasa moldeada. Los resortes 685 de tensión cierran la
estructura y tapan eficazmente la rueda 681 de cola durante los
períodos de inactividad.
Conforme la hoja 604 pasa por la estructura 673
de rueda de cola, se aplica adhesivo a un borde vertical en la parte
delantera (aparte de la primera hoja de un documento) según se
transporta hacia la estructura 605 de encuadernación. Se observará
que esta configuración aplica adhesivo a cada página durante la
impresión, de manera que el movimiento del papel a través de la
impresora no se interrumpe y se detiene en un puesto de encolado
separado. Esto aumenta la velocidad de impresión, pero requiere que
las páginas se muevan a través de la impresora en configuración
"vertical" (es decir, en una dirección paralela a los bordes
largos). Esto a su vez requiere que la bandeja de papel, el puesto
de encuadernación y el puesto de recogida estén en configuración
vertical. Esto puede hacer que la longitud total de la impresora sea
demasiado grande para caber cómodamente en zonas que tienen espacio
limitado. En estas situaciones, la bandeja de soporte, el puesto de
encuadernación y el puesto de recogida pueden disponerse en
orientación "horizontal" (lados cortos paralelos al movimiento
del papel) para acortar la longitud de la impresora. Sin embargo,
la estructura de encolado debe seguir siendo capaz de aplicar cola
por el lado largo de las páginas. En esta versión de impresora
mural (no mostrada), el adhesivo se aplica al borde longitudinal de
cada página con una tira de cola recíproca.
La estructura 605 de encuadernadora
"vertical" se muestra mejor en la Figura 13. Tiene un chasis
686 de soporte metálico, una platina 687 de encuadernación moldeada
con muelles que discurre sobre cuatro barras transportadoras, una
platina 689 inclinada moldeada que soporta el documento 618 después
de que se ha movido la hoja 604, y una compuerta 690 de salida con
brida 691 de soporte. La página 604 impresa se alimenta hasta que
descansa en la compuerta 690 de salida. La platina 687 de
encuadernación es impulsada hacia delante a alta velocidad a través
de un sistema en bucle de ruedas 692 y un cable 693 de acero con
muelle que está unido a un eje 694 devanador de cable impulsado.
Cuando se hace girar el eje 694 devanador del cable, el bucle del
cable 693 se acorta y transporta la platina 687 de encuadernación
hacia delante. Este eje 694 impulsado tiene un mecanismo de
embrague deslizante y proporciona la velocidad necesaria para
impulsar la hoja 604 hacia la parte posterior de la hoja anterior,
la encola/encuaderna y después vuelve bajo la acción de resortes 699
de retorno a la posición de partida para aceptar la siguiente hoja
impresa. Un simple ciclo operativo de la platina alternativa dura
menos de 2 segundos.
La estructura 605 de encuadernación encuaderna
las páginas una a una en un documento encuadernado, con lo que
produce documentos encuadernados sin adición significativa al
tiempo invertido para imprimir las páginas separadas del documento.
Además, aplica el adhesivo directamente antes de presionarlo contra
la página anterior. Esto es más eficaz que aplicar el adhesivo a la
parte posterior de cada página y presionar secuencialmente cada
página con la página posterior, ya que cualquier interrupción en el
procedimiento de impresión, como el rellenado de suministro de
papel, puede hacer que el adhesivo aplicado a la última página
adherida se deteriore y se haga menos eficaz.
El cable 693 se abre para permitir aplicar una
presión positiva en la hoja anterior y ayudar a la encuadernación.
Además, la platina 689 inclinada es más plana en la parte superior
que en la base, para que soporte el documento 618 en una
configuración sobre el eje.
Puede usarse un sensor (no mostrado) conectado
operativamente al control del motor por pasos para determinar la
posición de la última página encuadernada al documento y permitir
que la platina se adhiera con precisión a la página siguiente.
Un golpeador 643 de papel impacta sobre la hoja
604 en un lado de la encuadernadora 605 mientras se transporta a
través de la platina 689 inclinada. La PCB principal 612 controla
motores 695, 696 y 697 para el eje 694 devanador de cable, el
golpeador 643 y la compuerta 690 de salida, respectivamente.
Cuando un documento 618 se encuaderna y se
termina, la compuerta 690 de salida impulsada se abre. Se
proporciona un sensor apisonador (no mostrado) para detectar
atascos de documentos u otras interferencias que actúan para evitar
el cierre de la compuerta 690 de salida. El apisonador 643 también
alinea el documento 618 impreso durante la eyección de la
encuadernadora 605 en la bandeja 619 de recogida. Láminas 698 de
plástico en la moldura 610 delantera inferior actúan conjuntamente
con la compuerta 690 para dirigir el documento 618 acabado a la
parte posterior de la bandeja 619 de recogida y alimentar otros
documentos cualesquiera en la bandeja sin apoyarse en los
existentes. Puede proporcionarse una pluralidad de las láminas
flexibles, cada una con longitudes diferentes para dar cabida a
documentos que tienen distintos tamaños de página. La bandeja 619
de recogida se moldea en plástico transparente y tira de su
encastre bajo cierta carga. El acceso para extraer los documentos se
proporciona en tres lados.
Claims (8)
1. Una impresora digital para impresión en
páginas separadas de medios, incluyendo la impresora:
un marco (606) de soporte;
un cabezal (705) de impresión y una bandeja
(619), montada sobre el marco (606) de soporte;
caracterizada porque la impresora
comprende además:
un elemento (605) de encuadernación de páginas
montado en el marco (606) de soporte, para encuadernar las páginas
de los medios impresos y expulsión de las páginas encuadernadas a la
bandeja (619).
2. Una impresora digital según la reivindicación
1, en la que el elemento de encuadernación adhiere las páginas
conjuntamente con cola.
3. Una impresora digital según la reivindicación
2, en la que el elemento (605) de encuadernación incluye una rueda
(673) de cola para aplicar cola a un borde de una página de
medios.
4. Una impresora digital según la reivindicación
2, en la que el elemento (605) de encuadernación incluye una tira de
cola recíproca para aplicar cola a un borde de una página de medios
que son rectangulares y el elemento de encuadernación está adaptado
para aplicar cola a lo largo de uno de los lados largos de cada
página excepto en la primera o la última página en un conjunto
encuadernado de páginas.
5. Una impresora digital según la reivindicación
4, en la que la impresora incluye dos motores (602, 603) de
impresión, cada uno con un cabezal (705) de impresión.
6. Una impresora digital según la reivindicación
5, en la que la impresora incluye una trayectoria de papel, estando
montados los motores (602, 603) de impresión en una configuración
secuencial en línea en oposición a lo largo de la trayectoria del
papel.
7. Una impresora digital según la reivindicación
6, en la que la impresora incluye una estructura (626) de rodillos
motorizada para arrastrar las páginas de medios a los motores de
impresión.
8. Una impresora según la reivindicación 7, en la
que la página de medios pasa desde los motores (602, 603) de
impresión al elemento (605) de encuadernación.
