本願は、一般に医療システムに関し、より具体的には、手術創などの創傷に用いるのに適した高吸収性の減圧創傷治療用品およびシステムに関する。
医師は、世界中で毎年数百万もの手術を行っている。この施術の多くはオープンな手術として行われ、例えば内視鏡式、関節鏡式、腹腔鏡式手術などの最小侵襲性手術を用いて行われるものも多くなっている。一例として、全米審美的美容整形協会は2007年に米国で450,000以上の脂肪吸引手術があったと報告している。
手術処置は、表皮や付随する組織の切開などの鋭い創傷を伴う。多くの場合、この切開部は施術の終わりに例えばステープルや縫合などの機械器具で閉じられ、あるいは接着剤を用いて閉じられる。その後、創傷部は往々にして単に乾いた滅菌包袋で覆われる。もちろん、通常は表皮部におけるものより多くの損傷が生じている。
多くの手術処置、特に最小侵襲技術を用いて行われるものでは、損傷またはダメージの多くは表皮の下あるいは皮下レベルにある。ここでも、一例として、脂肪吸引手術の一種では、膨張性液体(塩水、軽度の鎮痛剤、エピネフリン)を導入した後、外科医はトロカールとカニューレを用いて吸引し肥大した領域をなくすだろう。このとき、カニューレが配置されていた切開部や器具が配置されていた切開部から離れた組織領域において皮下空隙や他の組織欠損が生じることが珍しくない。この損傷した組織は治癒までに時間とケアを必要とするとともに、多くの合併症や、浮腫、漿液腫、血腫、さらなる傷、斑状出血などのリスクを呈していた。
脂肪吸引などの多くの手術後の治癒を促進すべく、身体部位によっては、患者にきつくフィットする包帯や弾性圧迫を数週間適用することがある。これらの用具は往々にして不快であり、非均一に圧迫をかけ、着脱が困難となりうる。さらに、浮腫のために、一人の患者に多くの異なる種類の圧迫ガーメントが必要となる場合がある。手術後の切開部や皮下損傷組織における創傷ケアの課題の一部または全部に取り組むことが望まれていた。
本書に図示する実施例は、面積のある傷や線形の傷を含む創傷および異常組織に適用可能である。「線形創傷」とは、一般に直線またはそれ以外の裂傷または切り傷をいう。図示する実施例によると、減圧治療システムに用いる医療アセンブリは、患者の創傷に対向して配置され、第1の面と、第2の内側対向面とを具える通気性の液体制限乾燥層を具える。この医療アセンブリはさらに、第1の面と、第2の内側対向面とを具える高吸収層を具える。この高吸収層の第2の内側対向面は、通気性の乾燥層の第1の面に隣接配置される。医療アセンブリはさらに、第1の面と、第2の内側対向面とを有する非通気層を具える。この非通気層の内側対向面は、前記高吸収層の第1の面に近接配置される。
一実施例によると、創傷治療用の減圧治療システムは、患者の表皮上に配置され創傷を覆うのに十分な寸法の高吸収性クッションを具える。この高吸収性クッションは、減圧マニホルドとして作用する。減圧治療システムはさらに、高吸収性医療クッションと患者との間に流体シールを提供するシーリングサブシステムと、当該シーリングサブシステムに減圧をかける減圧サブシステムとを備える。シーリングサブシステムと減圧サブシステムは、創傷部に減圧を供給するよう動作可能である。高吸収性医療クッション、シーリングサブシステム、および減圧サブシステムは、圧縮力を発生させるよう動作しうる。
一実施例によると、患者の創傷治療を補助するシステムが、患者の創傷部上に配置される高吸収性クッションアセンブリと、前記高吸収性クッションアセンブリと患者との間に液体シールを提供するシーリングサブシステムと、前記シーリングサブシステムに減圧を供給する減圧サブシステムとを具える。これら高吸収性クッション、シーリングサブシステム、および減圧サブシステムは、創傷部に減圧を供給するとともに、創傷部からの滲出液を除去するよう作用する。高吸収性クッションは、乾燥した内側対向面を呈しつつ250ミリリットル以上の液体を保持することができる。この吸収性クッションアセンブリは、第1の面および第2の内側対向面とを有する通気性の液体制限乾燥層と、第1の面および第2の内側対向面とを有する高吸収層とを具える。この高吸収層の第2の内側対向面は、前記通気性の乾燥層の第1の面に隣接配置される。
実施例の他の目的、特徴、および利点が、図面や付随する詳細な説明を参照することにより明らかとなる。
以降の詳細な説明を添付の図面とともに参照することにより、本発明のより完全な理解が得られるであろう。

以下の好適な実施例の詳細な説明において、その一部をなす添付図面が参照され、そこには本発明を具現化した場合の特定の実施例が図示されている。これらの実施例は、当業者であれば本発明を実施することができるように十分詳細に説明されており、他の実施例として利用することが可能で、その論理構造、機械的、電気的、そして科学的な変更を本発明の意図する範囲を逸脱することなく施すことができると理解されたい。当業者が本発明を実施するのに不要な詳細を回避すべく、この説明は当業者に周知の特定の情報を省略している場合がある。したがって、以下の詳細な説明は、限定する意図として把握されてはならず、本発明の範囲は添付のクレームによってのみ規定される。
図1を参照すると、例えば線形裂傷といった創傷を治療するための減圧治療システム10の一実施例が示されている。このシステム10を用いると、ポータブル減圧源が貯蔵キャニスタを具えなくてよい程度に滲出液や流体が医療クッションに保持される。システム10は、患者の部位に適用されリアルタイムで制御可能な圧縮力を発生させる。システム10は、線形創傷12(例えば切り傷)、範囲のある創傷、移植組織、または皮下空隙に用いることができる。とりわけ、システム10は適用時に組織の安定化や保持、創傷部の引っ張り強さの向上、皮下組織の圧迫による死腔の減少、外部感染源から創傷部の隔離、あるいは潅流の促進を補助する。創傷部の引っ張り強さとは、創傷を広げたり開いたりする力に対する創傷の強さである。
減圧治療システム10は、表皮14から真皮16を通り下皮または皮下組織18に到達する切り傷である線形創傷12の領域に図示されている。この皮下組織18は、脂肪組織や筋肉など多種の組織を含んでいる。損傷した皮下組織20が、線形創傷12から延びており、本例では、皮下の欠損、死腔、または空隙22を含む。この損傷した皮下組織20は、しばしば脂肪吸引などの外科手術により生じる。損傷した皮下組織20は、浮腫の原因となる体液の蓄積など多くの理由で厄介な(空隙22のような)空隙、開空間、および多種の不具合を含みうる。
線形創傷12は、ステープル、縫合糸、または接着剤など様々な閉塞デバイスを用いて閉じることができるが、本例では縫合糸13が示されている。この減圧治療システム10は、本例では切り傷である線形創傷12のような線形創傷治療用である。減圧治療システムはまた、皮下組織20、面積のある創傷、または移植部位の治療にも利用することができる。
減圧治療システム10は、高吸収性医療アセンブリ30を具え、これは高吸収性医療用クッション31と、シーリングサブシステム60と、減圧サブシステム80とを有する。高吸収性医療用クッション31に減圧がかけられると、高吸収性医療用クッション31は減圧を線形創傷12に分配し、圧縮力24を生じさせ、線形創傷12から滲出液といった流体を除去し、除去したすべての液体を実質的に保持(または貯蔵)する。この減圧治療システム10は、皮下組織22のレベルまで届く減圧を線形創傷12に送達可能であり、その領域の組織を互いに密着させ、同時に空気その他の液体を取り去るのを補助する。
高吸収性医療アセンブリ30は、第1の面34および第2の内側対向面36を有する高吸収層32を具える高吸収クッション31と、第1の面40および第2の内側対向面42を有し線形創傷12に面して配置される通気性の液体制限乾燥層である導入層38(または液体導入層)と、第1の面46および第2の内側対向面48を有し非通気性の層である最上層44とを具える。高吸収性医療用クッション31は、線形創傷12の上を実質的に覆う寸法形状であるが、面積のある適用例に用いる場合、高吸収性医療用クッション31は、損傷した皮下組織20の推定面積に実質的に合致するサイズとされ、さらに別の応用例にはより大きなまたは小さなサイズが適用されてもよい。高吸収層32について以下にさらに記載する。
本書で用いる「通気性」とは、気体が透過可能であることをいう。通気性の液体制限乾燥層は、気体が通過可能であり、以下に説明するように液体を制限する。これが通気性の液体制限乾燥層が「液体制限」手段であり、例えば創傷からの滲出液などの液体はこの層を通過することができるが、この液体は他の方向にほぼ流れることがない。これは底面が通気性であり、液体制限乾燥層が触れても乾燥していることを意味する。この通気性の液体制限乾燥層は、乳児の皮膚に触れる典型的な使い捨ておむつの層に似ている。
高吸収性医療用クッション31は、減圧を線形創傷12に分配し力を発生させる。本書における用語「マニホルド」は、通常、組織部位に減圧をかけ、流体を供給し、あるいはそこから流体を除去するのを補助すべく設けられる物質または構造をいう。マニホルドは、通常、相互接続されマニホルド周囲の組織領域へ、およびこの領域からの流体の分配を向上すべく相互接続された複数のフローチャネルまたは流路を具える。
シーリングサブシステム60は、ドレープ62またはシーリング部材を具える。ドレープ62は、エラストマ素材など流体シールを提供する様々な材料であってよい。「流体シール」または「シール」は、特定の減圧サブシステムにかけられた所望の部位の減圧を維持するのに適した封を意味する。「エラストマ」は、ゴム状の特性を有することをいう。これを通常ラバー状の特性を有するポリマ材料をいう。より具体的には、多くのエラストマは100%より大きな身長率と、相当量の弾力を有する。材料の弾力性は、材料の弾性変形からの回復力を示す。エラストマの例は、限定しないが、天然ゴム、ポリイソプレン、ブタジエンスチレンゴム、クロロプレンゴム、ポリブタジエン、ニトリルゴム、ブチルゴム、エチレン−プロピレンゴム、エチレンプロピレンジエンモノマ、クロロスルホンポリエチレン、多硫化ゴム、ポリウレタン、EVAフィルム、共ポリエステル、およびシリコーンを含む。ドレープの材料の特定の例は、シリコーンドレープ、3M Tegaderm(商標)ドレープ、Avery Dennisonから入手可能なアクリルドレープ、または切創ドレープを含む。
ドレープ62は、高吸収性医療用クッション31に、特にその最上層44の第1の面46に結合されてもよい。この結合は、様々な方法で実現することができる。ドレープ62と最上層44は、例えばアクリル性接着剤、シリコーン接着剤、ヒドロゲル、親水コロイド等の接着剤を用いて結合することができる。このドレープ62と最上層44は、熱接合、超音波接合、無線周波数接合等により接着されてもよい。この結合部はパターンであってもよいし、より完全に、あるいは全体的であってもよい。ドレープ62が所望の方向に異方性を呈すべく構造部材を接着剤に添加して、異方性のドレープ部材が形成されるようにしてもよい。この異方性ドレープ部材により、医療アセンブリ30が主として所定の方向、例えば特定の軸や複数軸の周りで動くようになる。
図1の実施例では、ドレープ62は高吸収性医療用クッション31の外縁部39を超えて延在するよう寸法形成され、ここにドレープ伸長部64が形成される。このドレープ伸長部64は、第1の面66と、第2の内側対向面68とを具えている。ドレープ62は、液密を提供する封止器具69を用いて患者の表皮14に対して密着され、これで減圧サブシステム80により減圧が維持される。封止器具69は、例えば接着剤、シーリングテープ70、またはドレープテープあるいはストリップ、両面ドレープテープ、糊、浸水コロイド、ヒドロゲル、または他の封止手段など、多種の形態をとりうる。テープ70を用いる場合、このテープ70はドレープ62と同じ材料で形成され、予め感圧接着剤が設けられたものであってよい。別の実施例では、ドレープ伸長部64の第2の面68に感圧接着剤が設けられてもよい。この接着剤は、ドレープ62と患者の表皮14との間に実質的な液密を提供する。ドレープ62を患者に固定する前には、粘着部は感圧接着剤を覆う剥離片を具えてもよい。テープ70を用いる場合、テープ70は伸長部64を覆って適用され、液密を提供する。
減圧サブシステム80は減圧源82を具え、これは減圧治療システム10の一部として減圧を提供する様々な異なる実施例を用いることができる。この減圧源82は、真空ポンプ、壁面吸引、その他のソースであってよい。組織部位に適用される減圧の大きさや性質は通常応用例によって変化するが、減圧は一般に−5mmHg乃至−500mmHgであり、より具体的には−100mmHg乃至−300mmHgである。−200mmHgの圧力がいくつかの状況で用いられる。
本書で用いる「減圧」とは、概して、治療を受ける組織部位の周囲圧力より低い圧力のことをいう。多くの場合、この減圧は、患者がいる位置の大気圧未満となるであろう。若しくは、減圧は、組織部位における組織に付随する静水圧より低くてもよい。特に示さない限り、本書で述べる圧力の値はゲージ圧である。与えられる減圧は一定であっても変化してもよく(パターン化またはランダム)、連続的あるいは間欠的に与えられてもよい。「真空」および「負圧」といった用語が組織に加えられる減圧を説明するのに使用されるが、組織部位にかけられる実際の減圧は、一般に完全真空にかかる圧力よりも高い。同様に、減圧または真空圧の増加とは、一般的には絶対圧の低下のことをいう。
患者の移動性や便宜を最大化すべく、減圧源82はバッテリ駆動式の、使い捨ての減圧発生器または治療ユニットとすることができる。このような減圧源82は、手術室での利用を実現し、リハビリテーションフェーズで患者に移動性と便利性を提供する。例えばテキサス州サンアントニオのKCIから入手可能なV.A.C.(商標)治療ユニットや、壁面吸引ユニットなど他の減圧源を用いてもよい。減圧源はまた、医療用クッションと表皮間の気密性にどれくらいの漏れがあるかにより、例えばチューブ内のピストン等のポータブル機械器具で与えられてもよい。
高吸収性医療用クッション31の高吸収性質により、この高吸収性医療用クッション31が液体を効率的に貯蔵するため、遠隔の液体貯蔵キャニスタを必要とせずに減圧源を用いることが可能となる。高吸収層32は、300ミリリットル以上の液体を保持しうる。同時に、エントリ層38が患者表皮14から液体を隔離し、これにより浸軟が避けられる。減圧源82はバッテリ区画84を具えて図示されている。疎水性あるいは疎油性フィルタなどの中間膜フィルタが、減圧送達導管またはチューブ90と減圧源82の間に挿入されている。
減圧源82が発生する減圧は、減圧導管90を通してL字ポート94などの減圧インタフェース92に送達される。一実施例では、L字ポート94はテキサス州サンアントニオのKCIから入手可能なTRAC(商標)技術ポートである。この減圧インタフェース92によりシーリングサブシステム60に減圧を送り、シーリングサブシステム60の内側部分まで到達させることができる。この特定の実施例では、減圧インタフェース92はドレープ62を通り、高吸収性医療用クッション31へと延在している。
運用時、減圧治療システム10は、患者の手術後に手術室または他の場所に適用される。高吸収性医療用クッション31のエントリ層38の第2の面42は、患者の表皮14に対して線形創傷12を覆って配置される。医療アセンブリ30は、ヘルスケア業者が実施する処置に含まれる典型的なアプリケーション用に寸法調整されている。医療アセンブリ30は、腹部、胸部、腿部、臀部などの異なる解剖学的アプリケーションにおいて動作するよう寸法調整、形成、および構成されている。
ドレープ62が高吸収性医療用クッション31にすでに結合されていない場合、ドレープ62は最上層44の第1の面46および高吸収性医療用クッション31の外縁部39の上に配置され、伸長部が外縁部39を超えて延在してドレープ伸長部64を形成する。このドレープ伸長部64は、テープ70か、ドレープ62と患者表皮14間の液密を構成するのに用いた接着剤で留められる。この液密は単に、減圧治療システム10が治療範囲または組織部位において所望の治療期間だけ減圧を維持するのに適していればよい。減圧インタフェース92が、すでに取り付けられていない場合は適用される。減圧送達導管90は、減圧源82および減圧インタフェース92に液通している。減圧源82がその後起動され、高吸収性医療用クッション31に減圧が送られる。
高吸収性医療用クッション31の圧力が減少すると、この減圧はさらに高吸収性医療用クッション31を通して伝達され、線形創傷12の近くの患者表皮14に減圧がかかる。少なくとも治癒プロセスの初期ステージにおいて、減圧は線形創傷12を通り皮下組織20に到達し、この場合に減圧が(もしあれば)皮下空隙22といった欠損部を閉じ、通常は治療範囲に復元力をもたらす。高吸収性医療用クッション31に送達される減圧はまた圧力24を発生させ、これもまた復元力をもたらし引っ張り強さ等を向上させる。圧力24は、表皮14の上だけに留まらなくてもよい。この圧力はより深くまでかかり、皮下組織20のレベルまで到達してもよい。
治療の間、二次剪断や二次的な緊張その他の作用による患者表皮14の水ぶくれなどの皮膚炎症が起きないよう配慮される。皮膚炎症を回避すべく、周縁部39は形成あるいは角度決定され、もしくは高吸収性医療用クッション31と患者表皮14との間に内側層が追加される。
図2を参照すると、減圧創傷治療システムに用いる高吸収性医療アセンブリ130の展開された部分断面図が示されている。この高吸収性医療アセンブリ130は大部分において図1の高吸収性医療アセンブリ30と似ているが、この高吸収性医療アセンブリ130は、当該アセンブリ130の上に延在するドレープを有さない。この高吸収性医療アセンブリ130は多くの層を具えることができるが、本例では、高吸収層132と、導入層138と、最上層144との3つの主な層を有する高吸収性医療用クッション131を具える実施例が示されている。
導入層138は、第1の面140と、第2の内側対向面142とを具える。導入層138は、患者表皮114上の線形創傷112から液体が導入層138を通って除去されるが、表皮114上には残らないようになっている。換言すれば、導入層138は流れが効果的に一方通行となるよう機能する。この一方通行の作用は、表皮114の浸軟防止に役立つ。導入層138はまた、線形創傷112への減圧の分岐または分配を補助する。この導入層138は通気性のある乾燥層と説明することができる。導入層138には、例えば親水性の不織布など多くの材料を用いることができる。
最上層144は、第1の面146と、第2の内側対向面148とを具える。最上層144は非通気層であってもよい。この最上層144は、当該最上層144を通って形成され減圧を減圧源と連通させる開口149を具えてもよい。最上層144は、高吸収層132を覆う密閉を提供するのに役立つ。この最上層144には、液体が漏れない例えばポリエチレンフィルムなど多くの材料を用いることができる。代替的な実施例では、最上層144が省略され、高吸収性医療アセンブリ130内に液体を留めるのにドレープのみを用いてもよい。
さらなる中間通気層194を、フィルタとして機能するように、最上層144の第1の面146の上に追加してもよい。この中間通気層194は、開口部149をカバーする。中間通気層194により減圧が供給可能となり、高吸収層132の一部が減圧接続部、例えば図1の高吸収性医療アセンブリ130の頂部にある減圧接続部92に入り込むのが防止される。
高吸収層132は、第1の面134と、第2の内側対向面136とを具える。この高吸収層132は、導入層138へ、および線形創傷112上への減圧の分配を促す。高吸収層132は、比較的大量の液体を保持可能であるとともに、圧迫力(例えば図1の力24)を生じさせる医療用クッションとして作用しうる。
高吸収層132(図1)および高吸収層132は、しばしば「ヒドロゲル」、「高吸収性物質」、「親水コロイド」と呼ばれる高吸収性樹脂(SAP)から製造することができる。高吸収性球体を用いて、当該高吸収性球体が飽和するまで減圧を分配してもよい。離れたキャニスタを用いることなく、あるいは人間の患者の場合に比較的小さな遠隔キャニスタを用いて減圧を利用するためには、多くの施術例において高吸収層132は300ミリリットル以上の液体を保持可能であることが望ましい。いくつかのアプリケーションでは、さらに高吸収医療品132と減圧源との間の減圧供給導管(例えば図1の90)内に高吸収性材料を追加的に設けてもよい。
高吸収層132に液体が加わると、医療用クッション131がより硬くなり、減圧下において図1の力24のような圧迫力の増大をもたらす。この液体は、浸出液や、線形創傷112からの他の液体や、注射で故意に添加される食塩水などの供給液体の形態をとる。
図3を参照すると、高吸収性医療アセンブリ230は、減圧を供給するための減圧接続部292と、注入ポート233とを設けて形成される。注入ポート233により、高吸収性医療アセンブリ230の高吸収層へ液体の注入が可能となる。
図4を参照すると、高吸収性医療アセンブリ330が、高吸収層に減圧を供給するための第1の接続部または減圧接続部392を具え、さらに高吸収層に食塩水などの液体を供給するための第2の接続部または液体供給接続部335を具える。
注入ポート233(図3)、第2の接続部335(図4)、または他の手段のいずれにせよ、高吸収層の硬度を増すべく高吸収層に液体が添加され、液体制御式クッションとなる。液体の添加が硬度を制御し、これにより減圧下で生じる圧迫力を制御することができる。滲出(例えば出血)のある創傷から液体が出る場合、さらなる液体−浸出液−によりさらなる圧迫力が生じ、この医療器具があたかも自己調整または自己調節式となる。これは特に、戦場での創傷治療に有用である。生じる圧迫の量は、ドレープの弾力性にも影響され、より弾力性があれば圧迫力はより弱くなる。圧迫力の測定を実現し、所望レベルまたは所望パラメータ内に圧迫を調整するために第2の接続部335に供給される(または第1の接続部392から除去する)液体量を調整可能な変換器および制御部を設けてもよい。
別の実施例によると、減圧創傷治療システムに用いる医療アセンブリの製造方法は、創傷に面して配置され第1の面と第2の内側対向面とを具える通気性の液体制限乾燥層を形成するステップと、第1の面と第2の内側対向面とを具える高吸収層を前記通気性の乾燥層に載置するステップと、第1の面と第2の内側対向面とを具える非通気層を前記高吸収層の第1の面に載置するステップとを具える。この製造方法はさらに、前記悲痛寄贈の第1の面の上にドレープを配置するステップと、減圧接続部を前記高吸収層に流体接続するステップとを具える。
本発明およびその利点を特定の非限定的な実施例の説明として開示したが、添付のクレームで規定された本発明の範囲を逸脱することなく様々な変化、置換、交換、変更を施すことができると解されるべきである。いずれかの実施例に関して記載されたいずれの特徴も、他の様々な実施例に適用してもよいことを理解されたい。

Claims (13)

  1. 減圧治療システムに用いる医療アセンブリであって、
    第1の面と、第2の面とを具える液体制限乾燥層と、
    第1の面と、第2の面とを具える高吸収層であって、当該高吸収層の第2の面が前記液体制限乾燥層の第1の面に隣接配置される、高吸収層と、
    第1の面と、第2の面とを有する非通気層であって、当該非通気層の第2の面が前記高吸収層の第1の面に隣接配置される、非通気層と、
    前記高吸収層と流体接続されるよう構成されるとともに、前記高吸収層に液体を添加するよう構成された液体供給接続部とを具え
    前記高吸収層が、液体の添加により、より硬くなって、圧迫力の増大をもたらすよう構成されていることを特徴とする医療アセンブリ。
  2. 請求項1の医療アセンブリがさらに、前記非通気層の第1の面の上に延在するドレープと、前記高吸収層に流体接続され、減圧を受けるように動作可能である減圧接続部とを具えることを特徴とする医療アセンブリ。
  3. 請求項2の医療アセンブリがさらに、前記液体制限乾燥層、高吸収層、および非通気層の周縁部を超えて延在するドレープの部分に形成されたドレープ伸長部を具えることを特徴とする医療アセンブリ。
  4. 請求項2の医療アセンブリがさらに、前記液体制限乾燥層、高吸収層、および非通気層の周縁部を超えて延在するドレープの部分に形成されたドレープ伸長部と、当該ドレープ伸長部を患者の表皮に密封するシーリング器具とを具えることを特徴とする医療アセンブリ。
  5. 請求項1の医療アセンブリにおいて、前記高吸収層が少なくとも300ミリリットルの液体を保持可能であることを特徴とする医療アセンブリ。
  6. 創傷治療用の減圧治療システムであって、
    創傷を実質的に覆うよう寸法調整され、減圧を分配可能なクッションと、
    前記クッションと患者との間に液密を提供するシーリングサブシステムと、
    前記シーリングサブシステムに減圧を送達する減圧サブシステムと、
    前記シーリングサブシステムと協働して減圧を受ける減圧接続部と、
    前記クッションに液体を添加して前記クッションの硬度を増すよう構成された液体供給接続部とを具え、
    前記シーリングサブシステムと減圧サブシステムが前記創傷に減圧を供給可能であり、
    前記クッション、シーリングサブシステム、および減圧サブシステムが圧迫力を発生するよう動作可能であることを特徴とする減圧治療システム。
  7. 請求項6の減圧治療システムにおいて、前記クッションが、
    第1の面と第2の面とを有する液体制限乾燥層と、
    第1の面と第2の面とを有する高吸収層であって、当該高吸収層の第2の面が前記液体制限乾燥層の第1の面に隣接配置された、高吸収層とを具えることを特徴とする減圧治療システム。
  8. 請求項7の減圧治療システムにおいて、前記クッションがさらに、第1の面と、第2の面とを有する非通気層であって、当該非通気層の第2の面が前記高吸収層の第1の面に隣接配置された、非通気層を具えることを特徴とする減圧治療システム。
  9. 請求項7の減圧治療システムにおいて、前記高吸収層の第2の面が、少なくとも一部において、前記液体制限乾燥層の第1の面に結合されていることを特徴とする減圧治療システム。
  10. 請求項6の減圧治療システムにおいて、前記減圧サブシステムが、
    減圧を発生する減圧源と
    前記減圧源から前記減圧接続部へと減圧を提供する減圧送達導管とを具えることを特徴とする減圧治療システム。
  11. 請求項6の減圧治療システムにおいて、前記減圧サブシステムが、
    周囲の気圧より低い可変の圧を提供しうる減圧源と
    前記減圧源から前記減圧接続部へと減圧を提供する減圧送達導管とを具えることを特徴とする減圧治療システム。
  12. 請求項6の減圧治療システムにおいて、前記減圧サブシステムが、
    ポータブルの減圧源と
    前記減圧源から前記減圧接続部へと減圧を提供する減圧送達導管とを具え、
    前記減圧接続部が減圧を前記シーリングサブシステムに送ることを特徴とする減圧治療システム。
  13. 患者の創傷の治癒を促進させるシステムであって、
    前記患者の創傷の上に配置されるクッションアセンブリと、
    前記クッションアセンブリの上に液密を提供するシーリングサブシステムと、
    前記シーリングサブシステムと協働して減圧を受ける減圧接続部と、
    前記シーリングサブシステムに減圧を送達する減圧サブシステムと、
    前記クッションアセンブリに流体接続し、前記クッションアセンブリに液体を供給して前記クッションアセンブリの硬度を増すよう構成された液体供給接続部とを具え、
    前記クッションアセンブリ、シーリングサブシステム、および減圧サブシステムが、前記創傷に減圧をかけて創傷からの滲出液を除去可能であり、
    前記クッションアセンブリが、乾燥した内側対向面を呈しつつ250ミリリットル以上の液体を保持可能であり、
    前記クッションアセンブリが、
    第1の面と、第2の面とを具える液体制限乾燥層と、
    第1の面と、第2の面とを具える高吸収層であって、当該高吸収層の第2の面が前記液体制限乾燥層の第1の面に隣接配置される、高吸収層と
    第1の面と、第2の面とを具える非通気層であって、当該非通気層の第2の面が前記高吸収層の第1の面に隣接配置される、非通気層とを具えることを特徴とするシステム。
