Description
図1は本発明の第1実施形態に係る吸気ダクトを搭載した鞍乗型車両の一種である自動二輪車の側面図である。この自動二輪車の車体フレームFRは、前半部を形成するメインフレーム1と、このメインフレーム1の後部に取り付けられて車体フレームFRの後半部を形成するシートレール2とを有している。メインフレーム1の前端に設けられたヘッドパイプ4に、図示しないステアリングシャフトを介してフロントフォーク8が回動自在に軸支されて、このフロントフォーク8に前輪10が取り付けられている。フロントフォーク8の上端部に操向用のハンドル6が固定されている。

Claims (10)
- エンジンの前方を流れる空気を、前記エンジンのシリンダブロックの後方に配置された過給機に吸気として供給する吸気通路を形成する鞍乗型車両の吸気ダクトであって、
前記シリンダブロックの外側方を通過し、車幅方向内側に湾曲しながら前記過給機に接続されており、
前記吸気通路の横断面形状が、湾曲の中心から湾曲の径方向外側に向かって、前記湾曲の径方向に直交する直交方向寸法が徐々に小さくなるように形成され、
車体における操縦者用シートの前方に、車幅方向寸法がその前方部分よりも小さくなるニーグリップ部が形成され、
さらに、前記ニーグリップ部よりも前方でメインフレームから外側方に突出する突出部分を有し、前記突出部分よりも後方で前記メインフレームの内側に位置している鞍乗型車両の吸気ダクト。 - 請求項1に記載の鞍乗型車両の吸気ダクトにおいて、前記吸気通路の横断面形状は、前記直交方向の最大寸法が、前記湾曲の径方向の最大寸法よりも大きく設定されている鞍乗型車両の吸気ダクト。
- 請求項1または2に記載の鞍乗型車両の吸気ダクトにおいて、前方に開口して前記吸気として走行風を取り入れる吸気取入口を有している鞍乗型車両の吸気ダクト。
- 請求項1,2または3に記載の鞍乗型車両の吸気ダクトにおいて、前記シリンダブロックの前方から車体の一側方へ湾曲しながら前記シリンダブロックの一側方を通って前記過給機に接続されている鞍乗型車両の吸気ダクト。
- 請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の鞍乗型車両の吸気ダクトにおいて、前記直交方向寸法が外側に向かって徐々に小さくなる縮径形状が、ダクト全体に形成されている鞍乗型車両の吸気ダクト。
- 請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の鞍乗型車両の吸気ダクトにおいて、前記吸気ダクトの一部が、前記メインフレームの外側方を前後方向に延びている鞍乗型車両の吸気ダクト。
- 請求項4に記載の鞍乗型車両の吸気ダクトにおいて、前記過給機の吸込口が、前記エンジンの側面よりも内側に配置されて車体の一側方に開口し、
前記吸気ダクトは、前記エンジンの側方領域では、側面視で、クランク軸の上方でスロットルボディの下方を通過している鞍乗型車両の吸気ダクト。 - 請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の鞍乗型車両の吸気ダクトにおいて、前記吸気通路の通路面積は、上流から下流に向かって徐々に小さくなるように設定されている鞍乗型車両の吸気ダクト。
- 請求項8に記載の鞍乗型車両の吸気ダクトにおいて、前記吸気通路における上流部に、吸気を浄化するクリーナエレメントが内蔵されている鞍乗型車両の吸気ダクト。
- エンジンの前方を流れる空気を、前記エンジンに吸気として供給する吸気通路を形成する鞍乗型車両の吸気ダクトであって、
前記吸気として走行風を取り入れてラム効果により昇圧させるように前方に開口した吸気取入口を有し、
前記エンジンの外側方を通過し、車幅方向内側に湾曲しながら前記エンジンの後部に接続されており、
前記吸気通路の横断面形状が、湾曲の中心から湾曲の径方向外側に向かって、前記湾曲の径方向に直交する直交方向寸法が徐々に小さくなるように形成され、
車体における操縦者用シートの前方に、車幅方向寸法がその前方部分よりも小さくなるニーグリップ部が形成され、
さらに、前記ニーグリップ部よりも前方でメインフレームから外側方に突出する突出部分を有し、前記突出部分よりも後方で前記メインフレームの内側に位置している鞍乗型車両の吸気ダクト。
