Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable hot water of desired temperature to be fed at any desired time by a method wherein water is fed in such a way as a hot water temperature within a hot water tank is not less than a specified temperature, and if the hot water reaches the specified temperature after heating operation, water is fed again and the water is supplied up to a required amount of hot water and then heating operation is carried out. CONSTITUTION:A water supplying means is comprised of a thermistor 2, a hot water supplying port 6 arranged between water level sensors 41 and 42, a solenoid valve 7 for opening or closing a water feeding valve, and a control part 72 for controlling energization of a solenoid valve 71 in response to signals from the water level sensors 41 and 42 and a signal from a thermistor 3. In case that water within a hot water tank 1 is less than a water level sensor 41, the solenoid valve 71 is opened and water is fed until the water indicates a water level of a minimum water level sensor 41, and a heater 2 is turned ON and then a heating operation is started. When the temperature is increased more than the set temperature, the heater is turned OFF, the solenoid valve 71 is opened again to feed water. If the water is decreased down to such a limit temperature as one capable of feeding hot water, the solenoid valve 71 is closed and the water feeding is terminated. If the temperature within the hot water tank 1 reaches the set temperature, the heater 2 is turned OFF. The hot water temperature is always kept more than a specified temperature and so the desired hot water can be attained at any time.
