Abstract

1363898 Hot water heaters CORY CORP 1 Dec 1971 [10 Feb 1971] 55698/71 Heading F4A A hot water supply system has a tank 11 in which water is heated and which is fed with cold water through a duct 17 containing a shut-off valve 18 and a control means 26 which passes the cold water when the valve 18 is open and vents the tank when the valve is closed. Valve 18 is actuated by a solenoid and the water is heated by an electric heater 25. Hot water is discharged automatically through a syphon 12 to a coffee brewer spray head 48, when the valve 18 is open. Passage of cold water through the duct 17 raises a valve member 29 to permit the water to pass through duct 19 into inlet guide tube 22. When the valve 18 is closed the member 29 falls and opens an air vent 38.
