Abstract

[Also in Division F4] A gas flow regulator 6 of a gas boiler comprises a flanged member 10, forming a fixed flow passage 11, slidable on an apertured sleeve 9 to control flow through the apertures 8. A first passage 13 controlled by a plug 14 by-passes the passage 11. A second by-pass passage 17 set by a throttle 18 also by-passes the passage 11 and is controlled by a valve 19. The valve 19 is actuated in response to the temperature in a heat exchanger 25 of the domestic hot water supply to provide increased gas flow to the burners 1 when this temperature falls below a preset value. The valve 19 may be actuated electromagnetically.
