513,820. Electric water-heaters. EWART, J. H. Jan. 12, 1939. No. 1066. [Class 39 (iii)] [Also in Group XIII] An electric water-heater has a container 1 for supplying relatively small quantities of hot water, mounted inside, and placed in thermocyclic circulatory connection with a large container 3 which communicates with the container 1 by a passage 8, normally closed by a manually operated valve 9, and opened when a large bulk of hot water is required. Heating elements 16 are mounted within the container 1, which is lagged with insulation 2. A pipe 6 interconnects the containers so that when the valve 9 is closed and hot water is withdrawn from the container 1, water can at the same time flow into the container 1 from the large container 3.
