449,948. Heating water. STAPLEY, H. E., 9, Kingsdown Avenue, South Croydon. Jan. 7, 1935, No. 701/34. [Class 64 (i)] Liquid heaters heated by gas or oil comprising tanks 14, 15, 16, in a casing 10, one above another connected by pipes 18 spaced near their peripheries have an independent heater 24 for each tank outside the tank, and the casing is divided by horizontal partitions 34 substantially level with the top wall of each tank forming a compartment for each tank with a separate flue outlet 40. Water enters at 20 and is led off at 22. The pipes 18 are spaced near the peripheries of the rectangular or circular tanks and are readily detachable. A sliding door in the casing below each tank gives access to each burner.
