[A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Oct. 21, 1935.] [Class 64 (ii)] [See also Groups VI and XII] A cooking oven or like heating chamber 1 is provided with a jacket 2 containing oil, insulated by lagging 3. The oil is heated by a device H attached to one side of the oven, comprising a flue 7 with a jacket 2<a> communicating with the jacket 2. Heat is derived from a burner 10 and the oil may be circulated by a pump. The jacket 2<a> is provided with offset compartments 18, alternating with corresponding compartments 19 on the jacket 2 to provide a tortuous passage for the flue gas. The latter compartments open directly into the jacket 2. The oven is lined with copper sheets 25 to ensure uniform heating, and may be provided with horizontal partitions 26 of copper. A thermostat 37 may be provided. In the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91, the flue 7 is external to the oven casing and the compartments 19 are omitted. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
